Chapter 2467: Bloody Monastery

"Not only have you completely destroyed our city, but you even kidnapped our Supreme Ruler! Even if you have the prowess to kill us all, I won’t let you desecrate the Blood Monastery!" The Supreme Adviser stood tall before Yuan, acting tough. Unfortunately, his body betrayed him by trembling uncontrollably.

Yuan shook his head and calmly spoke in a reassuring tone, "You can calm down because I have no intention of desecrating the Blood Monastery. I am only trying to get home—to my own world."

"What?" The Supreme Adviser raised his eyebrows in a puzzled manner.

"The gateway that connects our world is located in the Blood Monastery, and in order to get home, I have to use that," Yuan elaborated.

"How did you get here in the first place? Can’t you just return using that method?" The Supreme Adviser questioned.

"No, because that is a one-way traveling method."

"..."

The Supreme Adviser fell silent for a moment before speaking again, "Do you swear on your soul that you’ll not destroy the Blood Monastery and leave this world as soon as possible?"

Yuan nodded, "I swear I won’t purposefully destroy the Blood Monastery and will leave as soon as possible."

’Won’t purposefully...?’

The Supreme Adviser noticed Yuan’s specific choice of words but decided not to pursue it.

"Come with me. I’ll take you to the Blood Monastery."

The Supreme Adviser said a few words to the people there before leaving with Yuan and Lev.

Some time later, the Supreme Adviser brought them to a location situated outside the City of Blood—a small and modest building that was built with bricks that appeared to have been dyed with blood.

The Supreme Adviser walked to the door and retrieved a crimson key from his spatial ring before unlocking it.

If the key hadn’t been used and someone were to try to force their way inside, a powerful formation that protected the area would have activated, unleashing Demon God’s Wrath upon the offender.

Yuan and Lev followed the Supreme Adviser inside, where a crimson statue of an unfamiliar figure loomed at the far end, and directly before it, a portal stood open.

Without saying a word, the Supreme Adviser entered the portal, with Yuan and Lev entering a moment later.

Since Yuan had been to the Blood Monastery before, he wasn’t worried about any traps.

Upon entering the portal, they were teleported to the real Blood Monastery that existed somewhere within the Crimson Continent.

A massive, cathedral-like structure loomed just ahead, its doors already open, as though it had been expecting them.

Surrounding them was nothing but empty air, making it seem as though they stood upon an island adrift in the sky.

The Supreme Adviser walked to the entrance before halting his movements and speaking in a solemn voice without turning around, "Is the Supreme Ruler really alive?" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"Yes, we didn’t touch him. In fact, he was barely useful and just followed us around."

"I understand."

The Supreme Adviser nodded and continued walking, disappearing into the dark halls ahead.

After walking in complete darkness for several minutes, they emerged into a dim, spacious chamber. At its center stood the same statue as before, encircled by fourteen coffins positioned in a deliberate pattern, as though they were bowing in reverence before it.

"Why are there fourteen coffins? I thought only the deceased were honored here," Lev couldn’t help but ask aloud.

Since Supreme Ruler Dena and Supreme Ruler Grant were both still alive, it made no sense to have so many coffins, especially when Supreme Ruler Grant was the fourteenth Supreme Ruler.

Yuan answered in the Supreme Adviser’s stead. "A coffin is created shortly after someone becomes a Supreme Ruler and placed here, whether they’re dead or still alive."

"In fact, all of these coffins are empty, as not a single Supreme Ruler died of natural causes."

Since demons could only die if they were completely annihilated, it was essentially impossible for them to have a corpse to put into these coffins.

"We are here. Where is the gateway that you speak of?" The Supreme Adviser turned to Yuan and questioned.

Yuan turned to look at the statue in the middle of the room and pointed at it before suddenly shooting out some Demon Sealing Aura.

"What do you think you are doing?!" The Supreme Adviser cried out loud, thinking that Yuan was trying to destroy the statue.

However, when the Demon Sealing Aura struck the statue a moment later, it suddenly vanished into the statue rather than dispersing from the impact.

After a brief moment of eerie stillness, the Bloody Monastery suddenly began to tremble.

At the same time, the space above them rippled violently, unveiling a massive portal that stretched across the entire ceiling.

"My god!" The Supreme Adviser stared at the portal in shock and disbelief, wondering how long it had been there.

Meanwhile, Yuan did not immediately enter the portal. Instead, he stood still, silently examining it.

’Since the seal was created from the Nine Heavens’ side, I can barely see it from this side...’

Fortunately, it was likely that he could still remove the seal from this side. Unfortunately, it would take much longer than necessary.

Yuan turned to the Supreme Adviser and said, "Thanks. You can leave now."

"Hell no!" The Supreme Adviser immediately shouted. "Who knows what you’re going to do here during my absence? I will stay here until you are gone!" He declared.

Yuan gave a nonchalant shrug and said, "Suit yourself."

The next moment, Yuan approached the portal and started working on the seal.

Meanwhile, somewhere within the Seventh Heaven—where the sealed gateway to the Demonic Realm lay hidden—one of the guards stationed there noticed the seal beginning to crack ever so slowly.

"L-Look! The seal to the Demonic Realm is breaking!!!"

The guard who noticed it first immediately shouted to alert the others. However, they only slowly turned toward him with unimpressed expressions, clearly not believing a single word he said.

"I swear on my soul! Just look!" the guard frowned, hurriedly pointing toward the seal.

Yet the others still remained unconvinced. Shaking their heads, they began lecturing him instead.

"I know you’re bored, but this isn’t the kind of joke you should be making."
