Chapter 519: It’s Bigger Than You Think

"They escaped?" Jill said as Dani relayed what she was being told while the car sped on.

"Yes. From the reports we got, the entire platform containing the building took off into the air and just... vanished? I guess? Apparently it went so fast that it was like it vanished. We are trying to ping their location from the trackers they keep on them, but so far nothing has popped... wait..." Dani said, typing on her laptop quickly while the two women in the front of the car shifted nervously. It was clear that everyone in the vehicle was concerned.

"Ok... From the looks of it... they are... in... Seattle?" Dani said with a shocked look on her face. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

"That’s.... isn’t that like really far away?" Jill asked, checking her phone.

"It’s around 750 miles... yeah... So if we drive there it’s going to take all night. Almost twelve hours. But my orders were to bring you back to him.... so I guess we are driving..." Dani said, nodding to the woman behind the wheel.

"How.... how long did it take them to get there?" Jill asked.

"Well, from the report that the building disappeared until the tracer responded? It was about five minutes," Dani said, doing the math.

"Five minutes to go 750 miles?" Jill couldn’t believe it. Since she had started traveling with Laz, she had a better feeling of distances, something that unless you had to actually travel them, it didn’t really click with you how far such a distance could be.

"Maybe not the full five minutes. There is always a gap when getting the report versus when the tracker came back online..." Dani said, still in shock as she closed the laptop.

"There is no point in thinking about it now. All air traffic in this part of the country is locked down so the farther we get the better. Otherwise we might have to deal with road blocks next. Considering where they ended up, I’m sure we can figure out which safehouse or hotel they ended up in once we get closer. For now, if you can.... sleep." Dani said, leaning back and closing her eyes.

"How could I sleep after everything that just happened?" Jill asked, wondering if there was something wrong with this woman.

"A good warrior knows to sleep when she is able as there are many times she is not able to," Dani said, pointing to the other woman up front who had already reclined her seat.

"I guess that’s not the first time I’ve heard that," Jill said, thinking back to the training she had received from the Attendants.

"It’s good advice. Just rest for now. We’ll be there before you know it," Dani said, closing her eyes.

Seeing Jill leaning back and doing the same, Dani let out a sigh. There was more she probably should have shared, but she didn’t want to alarm the young girl. While Laz might have been at the top of the most wanted list in the US before, now he was on a kill on sight list with every major armed and civilian government agency in the US. In fact, the reward on his head was at a record high one hundred million dollars, although the official word was it was just for information leading to an arrest. For anyone who could read between the lines though, that was bullshit.

As for Jill herself, there was no mention of her anywhere, a testament to Laz’s ability to fly under the radar as there was nothing linking the young woman to him. The only thing Dani could find on her was a police report that she had gone missing several years ago, filed by the school district and social services when she failed to show up to school for several days. When police confronted her parents, all they would say was that she had never returned home one day and when asked why they didn’t report it themselves, she couldn’t give a reasonable explanation.

Although they had then been investigated, nothing had come from it, but Dani figured that was just what happened when you sold your daughter into slavery.

...

The penthouse was a mess. Furniture lay in broken heaps all over the place, holes in the wall, glass vases shattered, their flowers still dripping with the last drops of water from before they had been destroyed and scattered all around. There were even several spots where the lush carpet had been torn up and flipped, revealing the hardwood floor underneath.

As for the number of empty bottles of booze, there were just too many to count, most of them not even having a label, suggesting they had been home brewed and not bought.

In the middle of the disaster area was a massive, four poster bed, far larger than any king sized bed ever offered to the public. On it laid thirteen worn out and sleeping figures, with most of them being completely naked. Twelve of them laid out in a circle around the one who was sleeping in the middle, with a smile on his face and peace evident in his features. At his head lay a now fully grown wolf, who had nestled up against his head, causing her to be used as the pillow since she was laying on the one he was suppose to be on. On his right, underneath his arm were three girls, their bodies naked and red, a sign of the immense struggle they had just undergone the night before. One his right side were another three in a similar condition. Each one had their heads resting on his arms while using them for pillows. Four more laid down farther, their heads or hands resting on his body with two on each side and at his feet slept another four, all identical in appearance who were not only touching him, but had snuggled up together themselves.

Laz opened his eyes, feeling a profound ease in his body, but not one that ignored the hand that had appeared on his previously limp yet still impressive member. Looking down, Laz saw the hand that had broken the peace and quiet and followed it back to his right side, where the smiling face of Kennedy awaited him with eager eyes. Seeing as she was the one closest to him on this side, she was able to go in for a kiss and get one in return without disturbing any of the others.

Laz returned the kiss before laying his head back once again, knowing she wasn’t going to try anything that would wake the others just yet.

"You’ve changed so much over the years. You’re no longer the little boy I once knew..." She said with a whisper that was both seduction and reflection.

"And you have become a giant in the world of business, a far cry from some girl peddling drugs to those who could afford your prices," Laz said back, not opening his eyes, but taking a long sniff of the air, the sweet yet earthly aroma of sex still pungent within the huge room.

"Is that a bad thing?" She asked with an innocent look on her face.

"I can’t help but wonder just how many people were swindled by that look you’re giving me right now?" Laz asked a bit teasingly.

"Far too many. With the right face, one could bring the entire world to their knees, crush it under her heel and the ones being crushed would simply say ’thank you.’

"I’m sure you’ve enjoyed doing so, hmm?"

"Absolutely."

"That’s my girl," Laz said, a grin covering his face.

"But not your only girl," Kennedy pointed out, leaving Laz without words.

"It’s alright. I’ve already told you that." Kennedy said, seeing Laz’s loss of words.

"I know. I just don’t know how it ended up this way," Laz said, looking around briefly at all of the naked bodies that surrounded him.

"A woman would rather share an exceptional man who loves them than with a less exceptional man who they just settle for. It’s not like you’ve ever hidden a relationship before. If one wishes to be with you, they will need to accept that."

"I suppose you’re right."

"Of course I am. Which reminds me, you’re newest girl is on the way..." Kennedy said with a smirk.

"My newest?" Laz said, looking at Vivi who hadn’t participated in the events of last night’s orgy and then to Lyssa who he had taken for the first time last night, allowed to go first and even helped along by the others.

"The small, young thing you were living with?"

"Oh. Jill. Right..."

"Jill hmm? Alright. We shall welcome her as always."

"Please do. She could use more than just knowing me. Her life when I found her... let’s just say I wouldn’t wish that hell upon anyone," Laz said, before relating her story to Kennedy.

"I’m not surprised. Ethics and morals go out the window as soon as someone can be considered less than human. It’s not just in this country either. All over the world, people like us are being hunted, enslaved or just killed outright," Kennedy said, a sour look on her face.

"It’s that bad everywhere?"

"Everything, absolutely everything.... It’s so much bigger than you think."
