Chapter 219: Chapter 218:Conan Redstone.

I just stared at my hands.

Confused.

Those lines, that instinct to just touch it, the sight of watching another being be unmade completely, it was all very jarring, even for me.

"I need to really go through my system properly." I had to, too many things were happening just for the sake of it, and I was totally walking blind.

"Soon." Very soon, I just had to get done with this inheritance task then get my ass back to the academy and try to figure out just how exactly I’d unmade another being...

Swooooooshhhhh!!!!!

The sound of the air splitting reached me before the strike even did...

BOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!

A concussive shockwave spreading out from the point of collision..

"Im... impossible! You... WHAT DID YOU DO!!!!?" The demon’s punch, furious and deadly as it was, had never made contact with my body.

A wind shield had stopped the strike dead in its tracks, no, I hadn’t made any move, it was once again..

"You... you’re actively helping me.." I whispered, eyes still down...

Ruuuummmbbblleeeeee!!!!!!

The rumbling of the skies was the answer I got.

I finally took my gaze from my hands, my eyes looking up as dark clouds churned and gathered, thick golden bolts of lightning crackling intermittently within...

"I SHALL HAVE YOUR HEAD!!!!" The demon roared!!! It’s 2nd stage Transformation stage aura bleeding out, only for the atmosphere to snuff it out immediately...

"IMPOSSIBLE!!!! WHAT SORCERY IS THIS!!! UNHAND ME YOU FILTHY WORM!!!" A massive wind cage had trapped the creature in a votex as the clouds continued churning...

I finally graced the filthy creature with my attention, golden eyes meeting beedy black ones...

The moment I did, the lines reappeared.

I hadn’t willed them, I hadn’t thought of seeing anything, yet they had.

But this time, I didn’t let my uncertainty overwhelm me.

I focused, trying to understand just what it was I was looking at.

Needless to say, I came up short, the only thing worthy of note, was the cluster of circuitry at the crown of the demon’s head.

I didn’t need to guess.

This was the "central hub", the same I’d touched, that lead to the demonic monkey’s unmaking.

Before uncertainty could stop me, my eyes had already focused on that point.

"BEGONE.."

A whisper in the wind, as my energy tank dropped sharply once more, this time more noticeably than before.

CRACKLEEEE!!!!!!!!

A thick, pillar sized bolt of dark golden lightning struck right at the spot I’d been focusing on.

BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

A cloud of dust rising up as the earth shook from the wrathful strike.

Yet the moment the dust cleared, another round of silence choked the place.

Gone.

Absolutely gone.

There was not one trace, not a single speck left to have said that there had been a demon standing there not quite long ago..

I closed my eyes, trying to come to terms with the absurdity I’d just witnessed..

"Dante..."

"I know... I know.." I didn’t need anybody telling me twice.

I’d just made two S and SS ranked academy geniuses vanish with but a word and a finger poke.

It sounded ridiculous even to me, but it had happened.

I was beginning to have suspicions as to what could’ve been the cause, but if my thoughts were true, then that changed everything.

So for now, "I’ll hold off as much as I can." It was the only sane thing to do.

I had no idea how to control whatever it was this thing is, what if I mistakenly unmake something vital? Even worse, what if it backfires for one reason or the other and I’m the one to get hit? What else could I possibly say or do then?

So, no, it wasn’t time to be test driving apocalyptic abilities.

"Not yet..." I breathed out slowly, settling my emotions...

"Alright monkey, where to next." I asked, finally pulling myself together enough to speak..

Yet before he could reply, the entire realm shook violently, a tremor traveling across the entire realm...

And then, we saw it.

Right at the center of the place, a massive statue was slowly emerging..

Even from this distant, I could feel the sheer existential weight of whatever that thing was made in the likeness of.

"The monkey king.."

Malachi whispered, awe and reverence in his tone..

"The monkey king.." the female, sorin, followed soon after..

"THE MONKEY KING!!" The remaining apes, unlike the upright figures of Malachi and sorin, bowed deeply as they all went on one knee, their expressions solemn and reverential, almost like vassals welcoming their king..

"It seems this monkey’s lineage isn’t all that simple." Leo muttered lazily.

"Yea, considering he hadn’t once shown fear for any of their ancient family heirs in our class, and even outright ignoring them, I’m not so surprised."

DUUUMMMMMM!!!!!!!

The moment the statue has fully manifested, I could help but nod to myself in appreciation as it was truly a masterpiece.

From this distance I couldn’t tell how high it was, but yet, it’s detail seemed as clear as if I were there.

Immaculate golden arm, refined simian features, to say he was a handsome monkey wouldn’t have done him justice.

A golden hoop adorned his head like a crown as the figure stood in a free stance, the staff slung carelessly across his shoulder.

"Heh! I guess that our next location then." I laughed, wings sprouting as I grabbed the monkey once more by his head..

"STOP GRABBING MY FUCKING HEAD!!!!"

I ignored the ungrateful monkey of course, wings beating gently as I made my way towards what was surely the final stretch of this entire thing.

.......

"The ancestor’s statue has truly appeared, it seems that fellow wasn’t lying." A calm and collected voice sounded out.

The speaker was, like most within this realm, a monkey, only this one was different..

Wearing an immaculate black suit over a body that stood at exactly 7feet, his already simian features, at first glance would mistake him for just a hairy human.

"You know? You’re really the weirdest monkey I’ve ever met." A maniacal voice sounded right beside the monkey as a figure materialized from crimson fog.

"Ripper." The monkey muttered..

"My minions, they’re all dead." The youth, ripper, said, voice not wavering an inch despite announcing the deaths of his subordinates.

"They served their purpose, they will be remembered."

"Don’t give me that fake sentiment you conniving monkey, now what did those bastards from Dreamless tell you?" The vampire asked.

"They said I’ll die, if I do not go prepared, I shall meet my end." The monkey answered, voice still plain despite a possible future with death foretold.

"And you believe them." It wasn’t a question, but a statement, ripper knew his friend too well..

"I do."

"And yet you’re still going to go."

"Of course." Saying so, the monkey grinned viciously, a terrifying aura leaking out of him, one infinitely more powerful than anything bale and Rothar could’ve dreamed of contending with..

"You.. broke through?" ripper’s eyes widened considerably, he couldn’t believe it, they were at the same level few days back, but now he’d cleared..

"Not yet, but soon, I shall step foot into the law comprehension stage, I truly wish to see just who it is that the little dreamless boy believes is capable of taking the life of I Conan Redstone."

And so, slowly, the curtains draw ever closer, rivals converging, until at long last, the one true king of all monkey kind in this era, will be decided...
