Chapter 58: Evolution

[You have fused with a Tier 4 Rare core]

And just after this notification, another one pops up in front of him.. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

[Your exclusive attribute had bloomed.]

[You have received the attribute...]

The long awaiten exclusive attribute had finally bloomed, but before he could even read the name of the ability, a searing pain began to run all over his body.

The energy within the core was so great that he felt like his body had melted from the inside. Despite trying so hard, a cry of pain left his mouth.

"Aggggggggghhhhhh!"

He began to notice a strange energy flowing inside his body. The energy from the core is so immense that he could feel his organ exploding.

The process of organs exploding was fast, but not fast enough to result in instant death. But he couldn’t have been so lucky if core had even 5% more energy within it.

And because the explosion hadn’t caused instant death, the moment any organ would explode, fusion would repair the organ with the DNA of the monsters.

But the repair wasn’t pleasant one bit, and with each passing moment, the pain inside him only began to increase.

"Aghghhghghgh!!"

Every single cry made the guardians even more panicked. The bone-chilling, horrifying sound of their master’s cry made every hair on their bodies stand on end.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING TO THE MASTER.." Vexar shouted. Throwing his sword to the side, he quickly got close to Dhruv and activated his [Wramth aura] skill in the hope of healing him. hurriedly got close to him

Looking at Vexar, the other two also got close to him and began activating their healing skills in hope of reversing whatever was causing him this pain...

But their attempt bore no result, and instead of causing him relief, the only thing it brought was even more intense pain. They even tried Healing potion, yet the result was same.

"Agghhghghhghhghgh!!!"

Dhruv was in so much pain that blood began to flow from his eyes and mouth. Despite his efforts to control himself, tears and mucus flowed uncontrollably. The pain he was experiencing was nothing like the ones he had felt until this point in time.

He could feel that he was getting torn apart, and it wasn’t just his imagination, because that was exactly what was happening to him.

Spider legs began to grow from his back, tearing the flesh as they grew. The flesh of his body began to peel itself out, only to grow back but in a different shade of color. The color of his hair, which had just changed to green, now began to turn into a shade of white, with two horns made out of ice growing from there.

But before he could change into a hybrid—consisting of different monster DNA within him—a mythical crimson fire consumed the entirety of his being.

Now that the fire of the Phoenix has been involved in the fusion, it has begun to remove the presence of any other creature within the body of a Pheonixborn.

If he had used the fusion of any other rank, the phoenix fire would have removed the foreign entity from his body, and his horror would have ended here.

But he had used the fusion of the ’TRUE’ rank, so it was so perfect, that even the phoenix blood couldn’t remove the presence of three different creatures that were now within him.

His DNA was being written every millisecond, only for it to be removed in another second.

As the second passed, the process of constant change and erasure began to put pressure on his body.

With each passing moment, some of his DNA began to completely disappear, leaving only the gap to be filled with the monster’s DNA.

Earlier, when extra parts of monsters were coming out of his body, with each passing moment, his own body parts began to change into those of the monsters.

Dhruv raised his hand and placed it over his eyes, where the pain was the strongest. Even though he knew it would only hurt more, he managed to cast the simple healing spell. However, the level of this basic healing isn’t enough for anything at the moment.

As he held his hand there, he could feel some sort of liquid flowing down. At first, he thought it was blood, but he couldn’t be any more wrong.

A sudden, intense pain surged through his head, causing him to cry out in agony...

"AgggggggggahHAhh!!!"

The liquid he felt in his hand wasn’t his blood; no, it was the liquid from his eyes melting. And from his melted eye socket, eight new orbs began to emerge. A second later, and now there are eight spider-like eyes within his skull. The pain of this transformation had reached a point where he couldn’t even cry anymore.

But it didn’t stop at that. One of his feet started to melt, only to reappear with a leg that was half the size of his own and was a shade of green on top. Multiple of his fingers began to change from being made out of flesh and bone to being made out of ice.

However, the most painful transformation had yet to begin. Out of nowhere, his back ignited, melting all the skin on it. Even after melting his whole back, he was even more focused on two particular places.

After melting two spots to the point that the bones were visible to the naked eye. The fire carved out two oval-shaped holes in his back, and from those holes, wings made out of red crystals started to emerge.

The emergence of the wings should have been one of the most pleasant things to watch, yet here it was entirely the opposite. The wings that emerged from his back were drenched in blood and covered in patches of skin that struggled to form around them.

The whole process was so horrendous that... that it couldn’t even be described by human words. It was just so hideous.

The emergence of those wings marked the end of any new limb growth, and for another ten seconds, nothing happened; it was like the ability was waiting for any new change to happen.

And when nothing happened, Fusion tried to stabilize his body.

And to Dhruv’s surprise, this time the fusion had been successful in its endeavor, ending Dhruv’s greatest nightmare.

With the end of the fusion, Dhruv tried to control his body, but to his horror, he couldn’t control a bit of this new body of his.

"N..NO, NONONOONONONONO, WHAAT HAD I EVOLVED INTO?" he cried in horror.

With the word Evolve being said, a notification appeared in front of him...

[You have reached the maximum level of your species.]

[Do you want to evolve]

[Yes/No]

Without having full control of his body, he couldn’t even click the yes button. But that couldn’t be a problem when you are connected with the cosmos through your soul.

So, the moment he thought of clicking yes, the world in front of his eyes began to fade, marking the start of his evolution.

Because he was in a state of panic, one thing he had missed was that this wasn’t the evolution of his class; no, this was the evolution of his... species
