Chapter 46: Vexar Evolution part 2 [Veaxar POV]
"Chomp...Chomp..."
A minor demon voraciously consumed the remains of a goblin, its arm hanging limply in the air, barely attached to the rest of its body.
"Vexar, although you were relatively cautious last time, please prioritize your safety during the battle. I can’t fathom losing any of you," he heard the words of his elder brother. He couldn’t discern his expression, due to his elder brother being composed entirely of shadows.
He turned towards his brother and expressed, with a confident grin, "Nothing’s going to take me down, especially not when I have my sword." He displayed his crimson sword proudly before his brother. He almost extended the same gesture to his second older sibling, who was a skeleton, but he restrained himself upon recollecting the latter’s demeanor.
He knew it wasn’t because his brother hated him or anything; on the contrary, he had saved him many times during the last battle. He is alive, probably due to his being undead. The thing is, maybe he is just someone who prefers to remain calm.

"Excellent..."
After that, he began to absorb the core, which was brought in front of him by undead workers. After dozens of minutes, a new notification pops up in front of him. And it was making him even more happier.

Staring at the menu, he quickly looked at his brother and asked, "I’m full. Should I begin, or should I wait for the Master?"
Alaric regarded him with an expression of relief and shared, "Master has already granted approval, so you can proceed with the evolution. You should select your...."
Before Alaric could finish his sentence, the little demon had promptly clicked the yes button in an unconventional manner. He had used his sword to do so, and Alaric wasn’t entirely certain why he had employed that method when he could simply use his hand.
Upon selecting the "yes" option, an unusual egg-like structure promptly enveloped him, encasing him from the outside. He refrained from any resistance, recognizing the importance of preserving the integrity of the egg for the evolution process to proceed smoothly.
Considering that during the evolution he would transition into a liquid state before reconstituting, even the tiniest damage to the egg’s structure could potentially hinder the best result from the evolution. Thus, as soon as Vexar transformed into an egg, Azarex orchestrated the arrangement such that two Crystallce provided continuous protection for the egg.
Gradually, Vexar’s consciousness succumbed to slumber, only to awaken abruptly in a realm filled with an expanse of swords. The surroundings he found himself in comprised an infinite, dark plain, illuminated by blazing fires. Swords were thrust into the ground throughout the landscape, which seemed to stretch infinitely in all directions.
Approaching one of the swords, Vexar picked it up from its position. As he lifted the blade, it detached from the ground, only to swiftly morph into a blaze of fire before once again becoming embedded in the very spot it had originally been. Lost in the magical world of the swords, Vexar began to experiment with them, Accidentally shifting his focus away from his original goal.
After playing for god knows how long, he suddenly remembered that—he was here to evolve. Hastily refocusing his thoughts, he summoned the evolution menu, which promptly materialized before him.

Looking at his options His smile began to grow more and more. Quickly, he tapped on the options to access their respective descriptions. He didn’t want to do this and wanted to choose the third option as soon as possible, but he had heard Alaric say something like choose carefully. He decided to review the details first, despite his eagerness. After all, he knew he would ultimately opt for the sword demon, regardless of the other choices.
[Adault demon: Having advanced from its juvenile form, the Adult Demon now stands as a potent being, having taken his first step toward destruction.
The skills <Bloodlust>, and <Night vision> are given along with a bonus of 10 in strength.
"Boooo boooo" Shaming this evolution option, he clicked on the next one.
[Fire demon: A demon whose only purpose is to use fire and burn anything that comes in his way. A fire demon is someone who is excellent at using fire magic offensively. A Fire magic gland will be provided as a gift with this evolution.
The skills <fire ball>, and <fire wall> are given along with a bonus of 15 in magical power.]
A slight fire ignited in his eyes for a second, but he quickly scrolled the options away and clicked on the third, his favorite option.
[Sword demon: Away from the traditional path of magic, you have chosen a sword as your companion. A sword demon is someone who is a master in the art of swordsmanship. An aura gland will be provided as a gift with this evolution.
The skills <Aura slash>, and <Parry> are given along with a bonus of 15 in agility.]
Reading the description, he almost clicked the yes option, but he controlled himself at the last minute, remembering that there were still two options left.
"Ughhh..!" with a grunt, he continues...
[Guradian demon: A demon who didn’t live for himself but for someone else, someone he considered even above his own life. This type of demon is very hard to find, but not impossible. A Bond gland will be provided with this evolution.
The skills <Sheild>, and <parry> are given along with a bonus of 15 in stamina.]
"This could be the option if it ain’t for the Sword demon," he regretfully looks at the last option.
[Juvenile Pheonixblade demon: The Juvenile Pheonixblade is smaller and more agile than its adult forms, with sleek, fiery skin covering its body. Its swordsmanship is refined, but its fire magic is even more impressive, capable of casting controlled fire spells and conjuring small firestorms. A Fiery Heart will be provided with this evolution
The skills <Fiery Strike>, <Ignition Slash>, <Phoenix Spark>, <Warmth Aura>, and <Emberplay> will be provided with a bonus of 30 in both Strength and Magical power]
Vexar’s jaws plummeted as his gaze fixed on the description of this evolution. In that arresting moment, a horrifying realization surged through him—the serious mistake he could have made. He remembered almost making a big mistake by getting stuck with a regular sword demon when he could have the amazing Phoenixblade.
