Chapter 366: Crown of the Seven Stars
[Prepare for the evaluation.]
[Evaluation complete...]
[From being an orphan to a king. From being alone to having the responsibility of multiple lives. One thought this was it... but defying all rules, the king had evolved once again. Now a progenitor, what will be your next step? What will you conquer next? What will you evolve into next?]
’.....’ With a straight face, Dhruv continued reading his evaluation for the third quest.
After two such evaluations, he couldn’t help but think whether this held any meaning or if it was just here to add a dramatic effect before giving out the reward.
Whatever it was Dhruv didn’t have the the mental peace to think these things through.
Taking a deep breath he began reading the list of achievements he had done during the third quest.
[You are the only person to create an exclusive ability with your skills.]
[You are the only person to fuse the evolution options.]
[You are the only person to have control over a concept.]
[You are the first person to kill a Tier V monster alone.]
[You have cleared a dungeon alone.]
Listing all these achievements, Cosmos got silent, deciding the best evaluation Dhruv deserves.
’Huh! What will I get this time...’ Dhruv thought, noticing something different about his achievement this time.
Unlike last time, when it listed he was the first one to achieve something, this time it was written he was the only one to do that on the entire planet.
’Being the first one or the only one... which one would be better between the two...’ Before he could give his answer, though, the cosmos spoke, breaking the silence.
[You have done it again. You have achieved the impossible. There is no stopping you.]
’Here it is...’ A small smile appeared as Dhruv could feel what his final appraisal would be.
[Final appraisal: Majestic.]
[You have received a diamond chest as a reward.]
’Even with these few achievements, I got Majestic... nice,’ Dhruv thought.
He was saying these were a few achievements, but Cosmos wasn’t agreeing with him. Except for the last two, every single one of his achievements was capable of giving a Majestic appraisal.
Looking at the diamond chest revolving in his hand, Dhruv looked at his guardians and asked them about their appraisal.
"I got ’Superb’... my lord," Alaric replied.
"Same here..." Azarex replied, bowing his head.
"That’s what I got as well, master. I got a sword from the box as well," Vexar said, showing a sword he had gotten from his platinum chest.
’Vexar sure changes his emotions pretty quickly...’ Dhruv thought, remembering how he was fuming with anger just a few minutes ago, and now nobody appeared happier than him.
’Well, it is obvious...’ Nodding his head he thought.
Everyone around the demon knew this fact. The simple way to make the demon happy: is just to give him a sword.
Seeing everyone opening their chests, Dhruv looked at the one rotating in his own hand and thought of opening it. Obeying his command the box turned into dust, leaving a notification and two items.
[You have earned 1 Million Cosmic Coins.]
’Huh! It increased from 100K to a million...’ Just considering it a good thing Dhruv didn’t think too much about it and closed the notification.
Now the second reward was something that forced him into thinking.
’A crown...’ he thought, impressed by the craftsmanship of whoever had created the item.
The crown is an elegant open band with detailed metalwork around the wearer’s head. Its design looked both ancient and otherworldly, with curling filigree patterns that seemed to defy conventional geometry.
The metal of which the crown is made seemed ethereal; it changes color at will. One moment it appeared deep, starry black, then another it transitioned to a brilliant, radiant gold.
That wasn’t all. Seven large gemstones are prominently embedded into the crown. They are evenly spaced around the circumference, each set in a meticulously crafted bezel.
Each gem was of a different color—golden, blue, green, orange, white, black, and purple— as if representing different fundamental forces.
Happy with the design, Dhruv thought as its description opened in front of him.
[Item: Crown of the Seven Stars
Rank: Legendary
Tier: VII
Type: Artifact]
’Woah! Tier VII, legendary... meaning a supreme item...’ Dhruv thought, remembering how just a legendary Tier I throne was so powerful... then how good this one will be.
Nodding his head, he began reading its description:
[Description: Inspired by the beauty of the stars, the first dwarf to achieve mythic status as a blacksmith sought to recreate their splendor. Enchanted by this vision, he journeyed through the cosmos, relentlessly hunting raw monsters and gathering materials.
In his quest for perfection, he killed seven divine beings and ripped their cores to forge seven divine gems. These gems were set into a magnificent crown, a masterpiece awaiting a worthy bearer.
The blacksmith bestowed this crown upon a valiant warrior, who fought divine beings with the crown adorning his head. Pushing beyond his limits, the warrior eventually challenged a god... perishing in the process.
The crown, imbued with both of their legends, wandered through space until it was found and sealed in a box.
Now, it lies there, yearning for a worthy head to wear it once more.]
’What the fuck is this lore... the first dwarf created the crown... and the gems embedded in it are made from the cores of divine beings... Tier IX monsters.’ Dhruv thought, gulping a mouthful of saliva.
’The dwarf then found a warrior who was stupid enough to challenge a god. Is this crown really powerful enough to give someone the confidence to challenge a god?’ Dhruv thought, looking at the crown from the corner of his vision.
’Is this really that strong...’ Sighing, he scrolled a bit and looked at the enchantments.
[Enchantments: Sovereign Will, Sea’s Embrace, Eden’s Breath, Elemental Sovereignty, Judicial Radiance, Dark Rampage, Cosmic Resonance, Burden of Power]
’Well, this might really be that powerful...’ Gulping, he began reading the enchantments.
