Chapter 285: Destroyed Town
Couldn’t do anything else the Crystallce glared at the death lord... if sight could kill, Azarex would have died a thousand times.
Looking at the monster, Azarex whispered, "Now... now, don’t act like that... it’s already over... hahaha!"
Lifting his remaining hand, Azarex put it on top of the last royal guard’s head. Slowly his corrosive mana entered his body... racing to reach the core. At first, the death felt some opposition but soon it covered everything... like always.
’Huh! The hard part is done..’ Azarex sighed as he remembered the battle.
After creating the first undead, the battle really took a dark turn. With the combination of his death and ice, Azarex managed to win against another royal guard.
After that the battle was really unfair... it was now three against one.
One of the undead guards had bound the monster in its place, while another was breaking any spell he tried. Soon enough, the conversion finished, and now Azarex had three royal guards with him.

’He only gave two levels... sigh! No worries, I’m only a couple of levels away anyway.’ A dark smile appeared on Azarex’s face as he realized he could evolve once again.
"Shall we go then..." Telling his guards these words, he was about to move to a deeper area to slaughter everyone to fulfill his level... but stopped as a sonic boom reached his ear.
Boooooooommmmm!
Not having enough bones left in his body, Azarex almost stumbled to the ground just from the sheer force of whatever it was.
Turning toward the area, he blurted out, "What was that... is that a spell? Wait, is Master in danger... no, that can’t be the case."
Azarex had confidence in his master... yet after fighting with the royal guards, he had tasted their battle prowess as well. He should be confident but not overconfident.
Turning around, he began to run toward the location of the boom. He hadn’t even taken a few steps when another boom resonated through the area.
Booooommmm!
’What is going on... please be safe, Master, please be safe.’ Azarex knew from the mark that his master was still alive... but his master being safe was something he wasn’t certain of.
Raising his speed as much as he could, the broken skeleton reached the location after two minutes.
"Has there been a war or what?"
Azarex couldn’t believe what he was seeing. Everywhere his gaze landed, there was nothing but destruction. A big chunk of the town was destroyed just from the battle that happened between the two.
Not paying any attention to the surroundings, he began moving toward the single alive mana signature he could feel. Calming his nonexistent heart, Azarex finally reached the area.
"MASTER..." Azarex couldn’t help but be crushed after seeing the scene in front of him.
His master was lying in a pool of his own blood. Multiple injuries could be seen all over his body, and his armor was almost destroyed... but those still weren’t his main concern.
Azarex was most worried about his master’s leg... which was cut clean from his body. Blood had stopped pouring from it some time ago... but the scene almost gave him a heart attack.
"Who could’ve done something like this..." Azarex whispered, reaching his master.
Knowing the culprit, he moved his gaze around, worried that the queen might still be present.
Sigh!
Azarex heaved a sigh of relief when he found the situation the queen was in. Her situation was almost similar to his master’s. She was also bathed in her own blood... but at least his master was alive.
The queen, on the other hand, was lifeless, devoid of any warmth...
Looking at her unclaimed corpse, a temptation appeared in his mind. Devils were whispering in his mind telling him to act quickly. He wanted to claim the body for himself.
He wanted to make the queen his most powerful undead...
’No, I can’t do that...’ Shaking his skull, he reached his master. Looking at the almost-dead man in front of him, he quickly called his undead.
Following the command, the undead began to move. They turned to look at the queen for a moment, the being they served just a few moments ago. As if the body meant nothing to them, they walked past her without showing a sign of emotion.
Reaching their master, they stood... one of the undead reached his pocket and pulled some bottles out of it. The bottle contained a green-colored liquid, totally different from the one bought from the cosmos.
"Bring out all of them..." Ordering this, Azarex bent down and began to drop the contents of the bottles into Dhruv’s mouth one by one.
As the number of bottles consumed increased, the injuries on his body began to heal... albeit very slowly. The rate at which this potion was healing the wounds was almost nonexistent.
’Sigh! How bad are these things...’ he couldn’t help but think tightly, even after using all the potions, Dhruv was still unconscious.
If it weren’t for the urgency, Azarex wouldn’t have used something of this inferior quality on his master.
"Anyone with water affinity..." Azarex asked, looking at his undead. Even though he couldn’t wake his master, he wasn’t going to leave him in this dirty state a second longer.
Listening to his order, one of the undead stepped forward. Following the command, he cleaned Dhruv up of all his mess. After cleaning, the undead picked up his body and began to move toward a clean area away from this mess.
Reaching the area, Azarex created a bonfire and placed the body of his master beside it. Even after all the fighting, he hadn’t forgotten that the most powerful enemy was still nature.
The cold was as unforgiving as it had ever been.
"Two of you, go clear the mob... while you stay here with me," Azarex commanded his undead. By the time his master woke up, he wanted to most of this city clear.
Listening to his command, the undead moved without any hesitation. The last undead moved toward the queen and picked up a core that had appeared beside her.
It was the very first and final core of this dungeon.

Notifications began to pour in as the number of monsters within the city began to dwindle. Azarex looked at the notifications for a few moments but eventually got bored of them.
Putting the core aside, he opened his status and began to consider the various mutations for his organs. He was midway in his research when a groan reached his ears.
"Who?! Azarex?!"
"Yes, master. It’s me." A smile appeared over his skull as Azarex was delighted by his master’s awakening.
