Chapter 231: Free Kill

Regaining control over his body, the very first thing Dhruv checked was whether his invisibility was still on or not. Fortunately, whatever force that was responsible for their transportation didn’t have any problem with invisibility.

After confirming that Azarex was invisible as well, Dhruv began to observe the surroundings. Finding something amusing, a smile appeared on his face.

’I guess, I was right to be cautious...’ Dhruv thought as he looked at the scene in front of him.

Twenty meters ahead, three monsters, which looked like the downgraded version of the tier 4 polar bears, were feasting on whatever flesh was left of the tier 4 monster. Looking at them with his improved mana sense, Dhruv quickly realized their tier as well.

’So, all of them are in the mid-range of tier 3. Not bad...’ After thinking for a while, a plan formed in his brain.

’Let’s see if I can kill all three of them without letting them know where I am.’ Having this thought in his mind, Dhruv began to manipulate his mana.

The monsters were oblivious to the danger that had appeared out of nowhere and continued licking all the blood and white goo scattered around the snow.

Finding a good chunk of brain matter, one bear quickly walked slightly away from the other two. Without having a second thought, it began to lick it. While it was in the middle of swallowing that piece, a section of the sky fell on its body.

Boooommm!

Craaackkk!!

The entire middle part of its body burst open as something invisible hit it. The surrounding snow was painted in a hue of crimson as its organs scattered around the area. The light in its eyes dimmed as the monster died without knowing what hit it.

Roooooaaaarr!!

Roooooaaaarr!!

Both monsters roared in confusion as they couldn’t understand how this partner of theirs had died. Being monsters, they didn’t try to think about it for long and came to a simple decision.

’There is some tasty meal in front of us; let’s eat it’. Maybe, having these thoughts, both monsters began to walk toward the corpse of their former partner.

The moment one of the bears was about to bite the hand of its meal, something fell from the sky... once again.

Boooooommm!!

Crack!

The head of the monster was crushed into hundreds of pieces as it received the same fate as the food it was trying to eat.

Roooooarrrrr!!

The third and last monster roared once again; the only difference was this time it was roaring because of experiencing fear.

Even while being this close, the monster wasn’t able to see anything. The only thing it had felt was a slight amount of mana fluctuation in the surroundings.

Being the monster who prioritizes physical prowess, it couldn’t understand what to make of it. Even while it couldn’t understand, there was one thing it knew to do... and that was to follow its instincts.

And at this moment, its instincts were screaming at it to get the hell away from here. The monster was fast to act upon its instinct... but unfortunately, it wasn’t fast enough.

Booooooom!

Crack!

As the hammer fell on the monster’s neck, it died without knowing the cause of it as well.

Getting out of his invisibility, both of them began to get to work. Dhruv began to read the description while Azarex got outside the portal and let his undead enter the dungeon one by one.

’So, these were the same species. Hmmm! Well, I really did kill all of them without giving them a clue... impressive if I say so myself.’ Thinking about it, Dhruv checked how many levels he gained from his little endeavor.

’Hmm! Four levels, not bad... not bad at all.’ Taking these levels as free gifts, Dhruv began to move toward the corpses.

Removing the cores from all three of them, he fused them into a meat box for later consumption. Placing everything inside his inventory, he began to walk toward the portal.

"Have you brought all of them?" Dhruv asked as he looked at the undead in front of him.

"Yes, Master, this is it..." After pausing for a bit, Azarex muttered, "Master, can I ask something."

"Yes, go ahead." Without thinking about it, he permitted him.

"You used this same spell to kill the tier 4 monster, right?" Azarex asked with straight skull.

Dhruv nodded.

"So how come they didn’t turn visible at the last second like it had happened during the fight with the tier 4 one?" Azarex asked confusingly.

"Ohhh! That... it didn’t turn visible because I hadn’t added the Multiply Effect on the spell. I can control the invisibility better if there aren’t any other effects added to the spell." Dhruv explained why the hammer hadn’t turned visible.

Satisfied with the answer, Azarex nodded. Looking in a random direction, he asked, "Master, from where should we start our expedition."

After thinking for a moment, Dhruv asks a question instead of answering, "Azarex, what is the limit of your range... I mean, how far can you control your undead?"

"That depends, Master. I can connect with the Golem or someone I’ve set as the next in power from an infinite distance... but the point is, I can just connect and can’t really control them from a large distance..." Azarex paused to think for a moment.

Looking at the undead Crystallce in front of him, he continued.

"And, if you are talking about normal Undead, then I can easily connect with them for about 5 km, and from there, the farther the distance, the less complex task I can give them." Azarex patiently explained the power of necromancy to his master.

"It’s decided then... send a team of two undead in the north, south, and west. Because they are Crystallce, they should be able to camouflage better, and command them to prioritize saving themselves as well." Suggesting this, Dhruv turned to face east.

Nodding, Azarex got to work. Having a powerful crystal on the skull, he didn’t need that much time to set up everything.

After thirty seconds, Azarex replied with a smile on its skull, "Done, Master..."

Nodding his head, Dhruv whispered, "Let’s go then."
