How about a dream that happened before the last one as my sleep has been quite nice recently.
It was a fever dream. In and out of consciousness with a small cold and ac was off.

An overwhelming sense of dread was filling me. The feeling, the knowledge that I was going to lose something. It was dark in my apartment and there were shades moving around it.
I lay down, wondering why anything is here. Then something whispered in my ear. A mantra of some sort, a set phrase over and over. With it, the dread rose, the room became darker, and a groan, deepโlow, emanated from a small corner.
I would half wake up only to fall back in, the strange chant continuing. With it, the scene would change. An odd ballroom once. A hotel room. Then back to my apartment, only the growling now accompanied by eyes like a cat.
Orange slits that peered into me. The whispers grew louder. The eyes approached. Aaaandโฆ I woke up a final time.
