Chapter 1492: Chapter 525: Supreme, Saint, God, Three Paths Unite_2
In the depths of the Investiture of the Gods’ core, it is also the Mother River of this realm, the source of the Dao’s root, the place where the final will of the Heaven and Earth Unifier remains!
She suddenly looked up, showing surprise and doubt, then looked towards the back of Ji Jingqiu ahead.
In this place, apart from the two of them, there was no one else!
Is the Heaven and Earth Unifier truly here?
Could it be they are unwilling to meet them?
Ji Jingqiu’s gaze fell at the end of the water surface, where the man once sat, now only small ripples remain.
After an unknown time passed, Ji Jingqiu sighed softly:
"Farewell, Taoist Friend."
The last meeting was by invitation from the other.
But this time, Ji Jingqiu entered here on his own initiative.
Last time they met, the man asked him several questions, somewhat unfairly, so this time Ji Jingqiu also had questions.
However, this Taoist Friend seemed to see through Ji Jingqiu’s thoughts, leaving earlier, yielding this place to him, as if acknowledging his "victory."
Ji Jingqiu seemed to be talking to himself, yet also questioning someone in the invisible:
"Taoist Friend thinks, what is true freedom for all spirits in the world?"
Mortal spirits believed cultivators to be freer, low-level cultivators yearned for the higher realm predecessors, and beyond the Dao, there were always higher beings.
Thus, it can be seen that different levels of beings have different views on freedom.
But beneath, there must be a "bottom line," the foundation of all freedom, also the first freedom obtained by Heaven and Earth’s all spirits.
In Master He’s eyes, this bottom line is "living."
Master He believed that all beings from the beginning only cared about one thing—
Can we live today?
Can we live tomorrow?
Can we live the day after tomorrow?
Is there anyone in this world who points out a way to live for them?
In a sense, as the Netherworld Lord of Master He’s seven predecessors, perhaps it was the same thought, so in the end, he devoted himself to creating the path of reincarnation for the world, allowing all beings besides this life to have a next life.
Then what is my view of Freedom?
How should I respond to the wishes of all beings in this world?
This talk of sensing and responding, asking and returning, is it endless aid?
Ji Jingqiu pondered over this question, and then got the answer.
What Master He sought was the bottom line named "living," whether in life or death, as long as existing in the world, it is the first "freedom" obtained by all spirits.
But is living truly free?
The Buddhist says the Saha World is "worthy of patience," meaning that sentient beings must endure the worries and hardships in the Five Dirts world.
The world we all exist in actually has many deficiencies, thus all spirits face the Eight Sufferings, the world is like a Fire House, and the Nether Sea falls into a Bitter Sea.
But to the vast majority of beings in this Heaven and Earth, it’s not that they can’t endure hardships, they’re not afraid of hardships, they’re afraid of not knowing why they’re enduring them, and whether they’re enduring them for nothing?
To put it in the most straightforward words, life needs a vision, each hardship, if it can make one’s life ascend, remains hardship yet is no longer just hardship but a staircase—a staircase towards higher places.
All spirits in the world have objectives, all can see the road ahead, and advance because of them; how can the human mind and the world’s ethos fall?
This is in Ji Jingqiu’s heart, arranged after living, the "Great Freedom."
Pasts, present lives, and future lives can be lived without question, ultimately pointing towards the ultimate goal without attachment—Bodhi.
Within this, the so-called Gods and Buddhas play roles that are both indifferent and enthusiastic; they do not easily give beings promises of peace but quietly accompany all spirits, watching them pass through the uneven spots in life, and when all spirits need help most, providing divine revelation, telling all spirits there’s hope ahead, just keep moving forward.
And before all spirits are ready to ascend alone towards higher places, Gods and Buddhas will bear the weight of the Bitter Sea for mortals.
At this moment, all paths Ji Jingqiu had walked in this life, all insights, transformed into the meaning of this.
He sat down on the spot, holding a Green Lamp in his palm.
The beings of Heaven and Earth, all spirits of the Sea of Realms, saw a suddenly bright ancient and enduring green Liu Li lamp illuminate before them.
Its lamp flame was quietly bright, lighting up deep in the Bitter Sea, brightening a direct path to the Other Shore for all beings.
All sentient beings felt a sense, something gentle flowed through their hearts, as if incense was burning everywhere...
Even if they had never accepted the Heart Lamp Seed, it didn’t matter; its projection naturally fell, from one lamp to all lamps, heart lamps lit up one by one, like millions of rays of clouds rising, with all lamps brightened, illuminating countless ancient heavens!
Ji Jingqiu gazed upon this scene, infinite lamp flames reflected in his eyes.
He hopes one day, the incense lit in the hearts of all beings no longer just prays to the Divine but harbors hope for themselves.
This will be a very long road.
But it doesn’t matter, because he is already an Immortal, he has enough time to wait and guard this world moving towards the road he hopes for.
...
...
In the Inner Universe, the remaining Wuzhou suddenly turned back.
Since Hel voluntarily leapt into the Bitter Sea, the Moon-cutting Sword Light sacrificially gave itself, cutting out the true sword of transcendence.
Aside from the Bodhi Tree, which always seemed silent yet has existed till now, there’s only Wuzhou left here.
But at this moment, Wuzhou heard the creaking sound of a door opening.
He turned to look, atop the mountain, the Gate which seemed like a view yet not, seemed like a temple yet not, hidden under dust for unknown epochs, was moving subtly at this moment, with no one opening it.
The sign on the gate with the words "Burning Incense" shined brightly at this moment, flowing with the pure gold color of Mystic Yellow Merit like the essence of the Divine.
