Chapter 1827 Failed Trigger
After taking care of the strongest old man, Ajax decided not to take any action against the Second Old Man because he wanted to let his Devourer Eagle Emperor test out his new Divine Rule.
"Don't worry, Master. I will take care of him."
Even though Alder has awakened the Divine Rule just now and it only had one percent of the awakening percentage, he was fully confident in taking down the Second Brother who has the Divin Rule with an awakening percentage of 10 percent.
It was because Alder's battle prowess was already very strong and adding to the Five Times boost from Ajax's bloodline along with the boost from the newly awakening Divine Devour Rule, Alder had nothing to worry about while fighting against the Second Brother.
Hence, he assured Ajax that he didn't have to worry about him anymore.
"Good then. I will check on the other teams."
Even though Ajax didn't receive the 'Help' requests from the other teams, Ajax wanted to check on them to see how they were fighting against the Old Men with the Divine Rule.
"By the way, don't kill him. I want him alive."
Of course, Ajax didn't forget to inform the Devourer Eagle Emperor to let the Second Brother live because Ajax needed to get some information from him.
"Yes, Master."
Alder nodded his head as he released a powerful screech that could make the normal cultivators and the spirit beasts go deaf.

After the screech, Alder didn't waste any time as he activated his Divine Devour Rule.
Soon, the fight between Alder and the Second Brother started.

The Devourer Eagle Emperor named Cale has converted the corpse into the Energy Orb. It failed to trigger the awakening of the Divine Devour Rule.
Just when Ajax was thinking of throwing the strongest old man's corpse to the second Devourer Eagle Emperor, he received a system notification that made him frown.
'What? He failed to awaken the Divine Devour Rule?'
Ajax frowned as he asked the system, 'System, didn't you say that the Devourer Eagle Emperors could awaken the Divine Devour Rule by consuming the cultivators who awakened the Divine Rules?'

The Devourer Eagle Emperor has not met all the requirements to trigger the awakening of the Divine Devour Rule.
'Huh? What?'
Ajax raised his brows as he tried to understand what went wrong with the Second Devourer Eagle Emperor that he failed to trigger the awakening of the Divine Rule.
'What are the differences between Alder and Cale?'
As the fight between Alder and the Second Brother was going on, Ajax quickly compared the differences between Alder and Cale.
'The main difference between them was obviously their cultivation. Alder is a high-level Emperor Realm Beast whereas Cale is a mid-level Emperor Realm Beast.'
Even though Alder was a born King-level beast, Ajax didn't consider it as the main difference because Alder was no longer a King-level Beast. After all, after a Spirit Beast reaches the Emperor Realm, those titles won't hold much value other than giving some additional battle prowess and suppressing power.
'It looks like I should let them consume these corpses after they reach the High-level Emperor Realm beast; however, I think it would be too late by then.'
After thinking for a moment, Ajax decided to let another Devourer Eagle Emperor consume the corpse of the First Brother.
'Even though it would be too wasteful not to make use of the trigger, these Devourer Eagle Emperors could gain other benefits by consuming these corpses.'
These Devourer Eagle Emperors could convert these corpses into Energy Orbs and these Energy Orbs could be used to increase their cultivation.
Since these cultivators awakened the Divine Rules when they were alive and were quickly converted into Energy Orbs before the Divine Rules could be dissipated, there would be still the traces of Divine Rules in those Energy Orbs which could help these Devourer Eagle Emperors a lot in increasing their cultivation.
Moreover, from this point onwards, Ajax knew that he would be meeting more powerful cultivators with Divine Rules and could provide their corpses to his Devourer Eagle Emperors to help them awaken the Divine Devour Rules.
Before that, Ajax wanted to use the corpses of these old men to increase the strength of the Devourer Eagle Emperors as soon as possible so that they could be ready to awaken the Divine Devour Rules when the time came.
"Here, consume it and convert it into the Energy Orb before absorbing the energy orb to increase your cultivation."
Ajax put an end to his thoughts as he threw the corpse at the second Devourer Eagle Emperor named Cade and ordered him to increase his cultivation as soon as possible.
"Cale, you have already got the Energy Orb in your body. Use it to increase your cultivation and reach the High-level Emperor Realm and I will help you awaken the Divine Devour Rule just like Alder."
Ajax ordered the first Devourer Eagle Emperor before looking at the remaining eight Devourer Eagle Emperors, Ajax ordered, "As for the remaining eight Eagles, the one who reaches the High-level Emperor Realm, I will help them first in awakening their Divie Devour Rules. Do you understand?"
Once Ajax finished his words, he asked whether they understood him.
"Yes, Master,"
Everyone became excited when they heard Ajax's words about helping them awaken the Divine Devour Rule.
For the Devourer Eagles, having a Divine Devour Rule was a proud achievement and of course, they were excited when they heard Ajax's words.
As for reaching the High-level Emperor Realm, they were not worried too much about it because their bodies were filled with hundreds of Energy Orbs which they got from converting the corpses of the Zeroth Order Demon Apostles belonging to the Greater Golden Demon Emperor.
And the only thing they need right now is enough time.
Even if they don't fight and stay at one location to cultivate, their cultivation would gradually progress to the High-level Emperor Realm and thus, Ajax urges them to not waste any time and to cultivate whenever they get the time.
