With the announcement of Cedric being placed at the helm of the Reyes Group there were a lot of things that needed to be done, his office was moved, and he needed to be brought up to speed with everything happening within the Reyes Group.

The company may have had five major holdings but they also had minor ones, small franchises, distributorships and larger shares in companies that they controlled from behind the scenes.

On his first day as President of the Reyes Group Cedric had to address all of the employees, his father had decided to leave strict instructions that the turnover should be handled with as much flair as possible.

All the employees that worked for the Reyes Group and its subsidiaries were given a day off and a free vacation to Kashmere.

"You didn't know?" Cedric asked as he interrogated his brother-in-law in the plane.

"Well uncle just said that he wanted to book the whole island for a celebration with all of the employees of the Reyes Group, I thought it was because of how great the sales were last year." Ray said with a shrug as he sunk into his seat.

"And you didn't find it at all suspicious that my dad chose to rent out the most expensive island in the country, just to celebrate the increase in revenues?" Cedric asked as he eyed Ray suspiciously.

"Even I don't believe you Ray, and I'm your wife!" Ayanna said as she flipped her hair at him.

"Ayanna, I'm telling the truth." Ray said as he stood up and placed an arm around her waist and kissed her on the cheek. "Now please tell our older brother to go easy on me. I really didn't know."

"Older brother! We're the same age!" Cedric said in a pissed off tone.

"Well you're my wife's older brother, making you my older brother." Ray said with a grin. "Why are you so mad anyway, even if you were to spend the same amount on bonuses for them your employees wouldn't be as happy as they will be when they spend a night and a day at Kashmere!" Ray boasted as Cedric signaled for the pilot to take off.

Most of the employees were already on the island. Cedric had arranged for him, Ayanna, and Ray to arrive a little later in the day since he wanted to spend more time with his wife and son. He was already dreading the busy day ahead due to his new role.

"So what's the schedule gonna be?" Ayanna asked her older brother as she read through some files in her tablet. The employees might be on a vacation, but it was no vacation for the Reyes Siblings. There was so much work that needed to be covered.

"Well the employees basically have the whole afternoon to themselves, then tonight, I asked Ram to bring over some artists from Lights Entertainment to perform, Eric and Francesca are among them. I'll make a speech, we will celebrate, then call it a night." Cedric explained as he recalled the schedule he and Ian had arranged prior.

"Why didn't they just take the same flight as us?" Ray said with a pout.

"Because they still had some events in the afternoon to attend to and the employees should at least see us interacting." Cedric explained.

"How are you going to the beach in your disguise?" Ray said as he looked at Cedric scepticaly.

"I'm not. Ian and I are going to hangout on the beach while you and Ayanna go around as the golden couple." Cedric said with a shrug.

"That's so unfair." Ray complained.

"Don't worry, he has most of the work when we get back." Ayanna said with a laugh.

"Did you look into the other matter?" Cedric asked Ray with a more serious tone this time.

"Really, I thought you didn't want Ayanna to find out about this?" Ray asked.

"Find out about what? Raymund Laurence are you keeping a secret from me?" Ayanna asked as she glared at her husband.

Cedric laughed and shook his head.

"It's alright Ray, she knows. We already fought about it." Cedric explained.

"Oh, well. Wait! You didn't tell me that you knew!" It was now Ray's turn to throw an accusation at his wife.

"I didn't get the chance to. You just climbed on me when you got home." Ayanna said as she rolled her eyes. "I was so tired the next day that by the time I got up, you already left to go to work."

"Really Ayanna, are you going to talk about that in front of your older brother?" Ray said, a little bit ashamed about the topic.

"We're a married couple! My older brother should be worried if we didn't do it!" Ayanna answered back.

Cedric simply laughed at the bickering couple.

"On your dad, I really couldn't find anything that proves his innocence, Cedric. As far as anyone knows a woman, we don't know who comes and goes to that house. After an hour or two your dad arrives and he spends most of the night there before returning to Mountain View." Ray said with a sigh. "I wanted to be wrong."

"My dad is getting bolder and bolder too. He visits the woman, even on days that mom doesn't go to the head office of Clarin Industries." Cedric said with a frown as he revealed the new information to his sister and brother-in-law.

"Enough." Ayanna suddenly said. "Enough, I don't want to hear anything about this now. Let's just take this time and take a break too. We need it. Things are only gonna get tougher, we inherited new responsibilities and we will need to step up soon."

"You're right. Let's just take this time off to relax." Cedric said with a smile as he closed his eyes and slept for the rest of the flight.

It wasn't long before Ayanna was walking him up because they were nearing Kashmere, she knew that Cedric loved to watch the view as their plane would approach the island resort.

The calm waters and white sand that they could see from above brought a smile on his face, right now he wasn't the President and CEO of the largest conglomerate in the country, he was just him, Cedric Reyes, enjoying the view.
