Chapter 455: Meeting

"So you two became friends at the end? To think that we almost died to him back then…" sighed Frank, as he looked at Uehara with Matsuo.
"Friends? What are you talking about? I would never become friends with an asshole human like him!" said Uehara while crossing his arms.
"You're an awful liar, Uehara…" sighed Sakura.
Sakura and Uehara were here because they were invited by Sadako. She wanted them to grow a bit closer to Frank because he was the Clan Leader and the one they had to obey from now on.
Thanks to the fusion of the two clans into one, a lot of things needed to be done, one of them was clarifying the stand of the Monks and Onis, and that Sadako was no longer the leader of the Oni, but Frank.
Although Sadako was an influential figure in the family of Oni, Uehara was perhaps even more influential than her as she was even closer with the Oni and was influential as both a leader and a companion in battle.
The Oni knew him since he was a kid and had seen him progress into the strong Abyss Attribute Magician and fighter he was now. Uehara was also an excellent addition to Frank's group and could bring forth a lot of help in the battles, leading the other members. Even more now that Frank had discovered that the Chaos Gate might not leave Tokyo alone any time soon.
However, Sadako didn't knew how Frank would take the fact well, after all, Uehara had indeed tried to kill him before…
But she didn't knew how forgiving Frank was of things, he had already almost beaten him to death so he wasn't particularly vengeful about the whole thing. Matsuo explained to him everything and his stand with the Oni, and Frank nodded and gave him his hand, he accepted everything rather well, too well, in fact!
He even shake hands with the unwilling Uehara.
"I see. So that's how it is. I am glad you guys could satiate my curiosity a bit in that regard. Anyways, Uehara, it is nice to have a competent fighter. I can see the seed to become a Demigod in you. Here, have this."
Frank touched Uehara's forehead with the tip of his finger, as Uehara felt a sudden shock of power!
FLASH!
"Unngh?! W-What is this?" asked Uehara in horror, but he felt no pain nor anything, only a faint and strong stream of essence going through his body.
"W-What did you do to me?" he asked, still on alert, he still doubted Frank a bit.
"I have given you part of my power. With the System, you'll be able to strengthen yourself by leveling up and also absorbing Mana Cores. You've already noticed it, right? The Monks of my Clan have this mana flowing inside of their chest, this is a Mana Core. You use it too regain mana and cultivate it, giving you more mana and enhancing your entire body and soul permanently, it is a special organ of… a special place I once visited." Frank gave Uehara a pile of 20 Mana Cores which the Oni absorbed by touching them, a sudden flash of dark light gathered on his chest, and in an instant, he got a Rank 1 Mana Core!
"I-Incredible… I can feel my power overflowing from my body… Seriously, you're really a strange being, Frank! What kind of being are you, really? Tell me the truth of your origins!" said Uehara, surprised and so shocked he wanted to know everything he could from Frank.
"Hahaha! I won't tell you anything for now, I am not in the mood to be honest, let Matsuo introduce you to it in a later date. For now, I want to assess a few other things with all of you, my fellow clansmen." Said Frank, with a charismatic laugh, he quickly told Uehara to fuck off and that he had no time for him. It seems that Sadako's plan to make him and Uehara friends would have to take some more time before anything is completely concluded, sadly.
"Ahem… B-Before that, I wanted to thank you for your generosity, lord Frank. Without your benevolent nature, nothing of this would had been possible. I want to thank you in regards of all our people too… I-I… I am very glad that you were able to forgive us for our sins. And even let your men heal us… Matsuo helped a lot, but I am aware that you were very influential as well." Said Sakura, timidly telling Frank that she was very thankful of his benevolence. Any other normal person would had simply tried to kill the Oni for trying to kill them, but Frank was certainly different, and a bit insane in this regard.
"Oh, Sakura, right? Don't worry about it, most of the idea was from Matsuo, actually, but indeed, I didn't planned to kill you all, so I am glad that things turned out to be fine. You're a very polite girl, I bet. I am glad you're here to represent the Oni who are often quite unpolite like this one right at your side… Here."
Frank also shared the Mana Core and the System with the adorable Oni girl, and then Sadako ended staring at him with a bit of anger, she hasn't received any of this!
"Thank you very much!" Sakura kneeled before Frank without any issue.meanwhile, Sadako looked at the scene with a bit of envy.
"Can I get one too?! I haven't gotten mine! I want one too!" she cried.
"Ah, you haven't gotten one? Well, you're a Demigoddess so you're strong already, but fine, the Mana Core is very weak at the beginning, the more Cores you get, the farther the cultivation goes the stronger you'll grow." Said Frank.
Sadako got her own Mana Core after a bit of convincing around, although it was just as Frank said, and was very weak and barely made a little amount of mana…
"T-This is too little!" she complained.
"You can strengthen it with other mana cores… Anyway, back to the topic! Let's discuss our next targets, Vampires and Werewolves!" said Frank.
