"So which floor is your home?" Ryan said, looking up in front of a gigantic administrative building.

"The whole building belongs to the Lightstones" replied Alice, who then held out her hand and pulled him inside.

-----

Four hours earlier:

For the rest of the lessons, Ryan remained working on his own sword project. Even with the help of Laila and his other wives, it was still extremely difficult to complete the vampire energy sword project. His main focus was currently on completing the first part of the project, namely finalizing the magic circles and runes that would be placed on the blade of the sword.

Once this first stage was completed, it would only be necessary to find a blacksmith who was good enough to be able to understand and build this object. Which would also be a relatively difficult task to do.

Drawing in his notebook, Ryan was making some doodles of circles.

'This isn't going to work... The mana isn't flowing through the edges, I'm going to need to structure this differently...'

- Why don't you copy that magic circle from your rifle? It has a good battery system -

'I didn't think of that. That gun Lyza gave me was really expensive, it has a nice finish'

- The power amplifier is efficient too -

'I'll use it more often'

*Scratch sounds*

The graffiti made a loud, rapid sound as he made perfect circles across the paper. The teachers' voices didn't even seem to ring in Ryan's ears, who was completely focused on it. But then, Alice moved a little closer, putting her head on his shoulder.

"You're studying magic circles, I understand now why you managed to read Margareth's attack so fast" the blonde said. With her right hand, she pointed at the drawing, her ring was shining with the light of the classroom.

"This is much more interesting than I thought. I used to want to specialize in elemental magic, but I ended up focusing only on skill usage. Sometime I need to train a bit more in classical magic, I feel like I rely too much on skills and not enough on spells, runes and circles".

Alice was surprised by the answer, and with a gentle smile she replied "You are a bit modest, master".

"Perhaps?" He concluded.

'I'm not modest Alice, I can't evolve without your help... My strength doesn't depend on me at all' he thought, putting himself down a little.

Behind Ryan, Nyx and Lux exchanged glances. The two of them were floating around the room, waiting for the class to end, nodding, the girls seemed to be talking by glances.

As soon as the bell rang, Ryan and Alice went to the apartment. The girl was a little nervous, but Ryan didn't seem to be too bothered, he had been through much bigger problems. Seeing his wife's family wouldn't make him nervous.

"My mom wants to meet you at the Lightstones' headquarters, I'll change at home and then we can head there with a car"

"Shouldn't take long to get ready, text me when you want me to pick you up" he replied.

Holding out his hands, Ryan opened a portal to Alice's house.

'I remember she once told me she didn't live in Neodrazzil, if we're going to Lacaster, we better take an air train...'

Walking to his room, Ryan pulled apart a suit he had recently bought. The fabric was black and well-fitting to his body, so he could move with ease while remaining elegant. Finishing it off with a tie and a silver watch that he had received quite some time ago from his father, Ryan was ready.

<You never told me much about him.>

That sentence stirred Ryan a little, and he looked down at his wrist thoughtfully. That watch was elegant and relatively expensive, perhaps one of the most prized possessions the former Ryan Whitemane owned.

"My father, he was a complicated person. I don't have much to tell you about him, and I thought you already knew everything."

<I can't get into your head out of nowhere>

<.....>

<I can but not in this way>

Nyx emerged in her physical form next to Ryan, and extending his hand up to the girl's head, he flexed his fingers and jabbed her forehead.

"Kyaaa" she said aloud, as she closed her eyes and put both hands to her face.

"Just try not to make trouble today, okay? Stay in your ghost form" he concluded.

The succubus nodded, and the angel girl confirmed that she would behave. After a few minutes, a message from Alice popped up on Ryan's phone.

Stepping through the portal, Ryan was dropped into an elegant and gigantic house.

'It's been a while since I've been through here' he thought, as he observed the place where Alice lived. The house had a modern architecture, with a waterfall on top of a glass wall next to a giant black wooden door.

The house looked like a real architectural work of art amidst the surrounding landscape. The combination of modern aesthetics with natural elements gave the residence a unique elegance. The waterfall, which flowed serenely from a fountain high up on the glass wall, provided a sense of serenity and tranquillity, filling the room with the soft, soothing sound of moving water.

The black wooden door, imposing and majestic, contrasted fascinatingly with the clear glass next to it. It was as if the border between natural elements and contemporary innovation was perfectly balanced there. The house seemed to be in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature, as if it were a harmonious extension of the surrounding environment. As he continued to observe, he could notice additional details that made the house even more intriguing. Manicured gardens stretched around the residence.

Suddenly, the door opened. Alice stepped out with a smile on her face, she was expressing her feelings in a way that had never happened before. She was wearing a white dress that gave a wonderful highlight to her bright blonde hair. On both arms she had thin silver bracelets.

The white dress flowed smoothly around Alice, enhancing her natural elegance. It was a garment that seemed to have been tailor-made for her, as it hugged her curves in a subtle and graceful way. The fabric felt light and airy, while giving prominence to her body, it made her curves stick out a little. Making it a little difficult for Ryan not to stare.

That delicate silhouette. Alice's bright blonde hair cascaded over her shoulders, creating a dazzling contrast with the white of her dress. The moonlight danced among the golden locks, giving them an even more radiant glow. Her every move made the hair shimmer, as if catching the moonlight itself.

"You look beautiful" Ryan said, as he looked Alice over again from head to toe.

For the first time, the blonde's face flushed with embarrassment, that in itself was more surprising than anything else that had happened that week. With a quick movement, Ryan pulled her close, bringing her by the waist and moving in for a kiss.

In the moonlight, their lips touched.

"Thank you..." Alice replied, still a little confused and embarrassed, taking a deep breath she continued "I don't know what you do to me Ryan, but I feel so... free when I'm with you"

Ryan reached out his hand and gently placed it on Alice's cheek. With a smile he replied "You don't have to worry, just be the real you".

Alice's eyes began to glisten, reflecting the reflection of the lights, she was holding herself back from crying.

"Please don't smudge your makeup my love. I have prepared a portal to the station, can we go?"

Alice's eyes were beautiful that night, perhaps Ryan had never noticed the vibrant colors that girl possessed in the so-called windows of the soul. It caused a certain tightness in his chest, to have such a wonderful girl by his side every day and yet not give her the attention she needed.

Holding out his hand, with a quick movement of his fingers he drew a star and then a square and then four more runes. A light appeared in the shape of the incantations, and with the activation of the portal, a rift appeared like a door to another place.

"Ladies first" he said, and carefully Alice stepped through the portal. Then he went.

The destination was a train platform. There were three trains to Lacaster, the most expensive was the flying bullet train, a journey of about twenty minutes that took directly to the center of Lacaster.

The journey was uneventful, and Alice and Ryan were chatting the whole way. After a few more minutes of driving, the two arrived at the place.

"Is the place right? We're in the middle of the city center" he said, confused.

"Yes it is, this is the meeting building" she replied.

"So which floor are we going to?" Ryan said, looking up in front of a gigantic administrative building. "I imagine it must be the penthouse, right?"

"The whole building belongs to the Lightstones" replied Alice, who then held out her hand and pulled him inside.
