Within seconds, he destroyed fifteen of those thorns that were coming forward, one after another, he went on blasting the attacks, evaporating the water. 'That's not so effective' he said to himself, as he looked down at his rifle.
'That was a gift from Lyza... But it's not really fitting with my fighting style...' he thought, annoyed.

'Can you save it for me?' he said, as he put the rifle aside. Nyx emerged in ghost form and lifted the rifle, as she pushed it into Ryan's backpack.

Raising his sword, Ryan activated Judgement of the Sun, channeling all of his mana into a sphere of light just above the long golden sword he was carrying. The intensity of the light was strong, and in the same instant, some of the water began to bubble with heat.
Ethan opened his mouth; he was grinning bloodily. He had torn his tongue open with his teeth, thus managing to release some of the blood with his saliva. Spitting forward, he created a magical circle of blood.
The blood extended into the air, becoming a complex system of magic. The spell then began to glow, and the water around the two of them began to sway like a storm on a distant sea. Waves began to rise, as the water shimmered with the intensity of Ethan's magic.
In a sudden moment, all the water stopped, and with a motion of his hands, Ethan lifted the waves and hurled them at Ryan. "Hahahahaha" the blue haired boy was laughing non-stop, terrifying the audience who watched that bloody grin with a confused look on their faces.
Near the row of teachers, Laila Winter was watching that confrontation attentively. "How can my brother be so shameful?" she said loudly, catching Lyza's attention. "Don't worry about it, maybe catching some will make him better" the redhead said.
Ryan split the sun he had created, and with a flick of his sword, he launched several spheres of light toward Ethan, who was thrown out of the arena. His attack had been effective, but he was unable to dodge the water in time, being submerged on top of the bridge.
