He then went to the room and took the herbs. He brought one set of herbs for pill he already knows how to refine.

The first new pill he decide to refine was the Meridian recovery pill because only a few herbs were different from the Meridian tempering pill. So it would be easier for him to refine the pill.
He started refining the pill. Although it was a lot harder Jian was able to successfully refine the pill on the first try. Since he had to submit it to the sect tower it didn't matter if the pill is low grade.
He rested and then recalled the process of refining the next pill. When he was done seeing the process of the pill refining then he only would try to refine the next pill.
For the next pill, he failed in refining the pill on the first try and for the last two pills he had used all three sets of material and he had to bring new sets of materials from the herb garden.
He has completed his Alchemy mission and he has more than a half-day to prepare to go to the city with Yu Yang.
