Chapter 34: Great Waterfall Ape

Huo Yuhao stood on a boulder casually and saw an enormous water blade coming. He stomped his leg onto the ground and forced wall upon wall of solid rock to burst out from the ground.
An enormous white ape, with a similar appearance to King Kong besides the fur color, stood over the small mountain range. The beast stared at Huo Yuhao and held a blade of fast-running water.
"Looks like we can't end this peacefully." Huo Yuhao commented while summoning Chains of Heaven. He opened his palm at the gigantic beast and used his sealing technique on it.
The enormous ape roared angrily at Huo Yuhao and resisted the suppression from the Chain of Heavens, waving his water blade around wildly. It destroys a good portion of the mountain range but can't reach Huo Yuhao for some reason.
Now, you might think. What happened here?
Let's return to a few moments ago.
~Flashback~
After helping Qianye Ying'er absorb the Mystic Deer's 6.969 years old spirit ring, Huo Yuhao told his other subordinate to hunt their spirit rings as well. And He comforted them to go around without worry because the Chains of Heaven would protect them.
Qianye Ying'er called her battle flag, and a deep purple spirit ring floated around it. She obtained an impressive skill called Light Manipulation, enabling her to give shape to light in the atmosphere.
It's a versatile and borderline broken spirit skill because Qianye Ying'er projectile-type attack could travel slightly slower than the speed of light. Furthermore, Huo Yuhao isn't sure if she can manipulate light radiation or not.
Light Manipulation ranged vastly similar to Spatial Manipulation because they are over advanced elements compared to the fundamental ones like Earth Manipulation. Not saying they are more significant than other elements, but every "Elemental Manipulation." always has limitations like energy usage, range, etc.
Qianye Ying'er waved her Battle Flag and shaped light around her into ten arrows. She commanded them to pierce the nearest tree, but they could only stay solid for a brief moment and charred the bark slightly. She needed more training and familiarity with her new ability.
'I can upgrade her spirit ring easily with an Upgrading Ticket, but can Qianye Ying'er handle it?' Huo Yuhao believed her smart enough to recognize the problem lies in her spirit skill. Yet, that doesn't mean her body and spiritual sea could handle the backlash.
He shook his head and commented, "What she needs right now is experience. Even though her spirit ring upgraded, using it without prior understanding is like giving a gun to a child."
Qianye Ying'er tilted her head and asked, "What are you talking about, Yuhao?"
"Nothing."
Huo Yuhao chuckled and used his Kenbunshoku Haki to scan the surroundings. He could sense Zhou Xuan and Ling Ming's presence not far away from them, searching for suitable spirit beasts. He pondered a plan because his mom, Shishou, and Murong Qianxue wouldn't return soon.
"Let's meet up with others first." He said, to which Qianye Ying'er responded with a nod.
They delved more into the mystical forest and met with Zhou Xuan and Ling Ming five minutes later. These guys had found and hunted what they wanted to absorb, so Huo Yuhao protected the area for them.
"Hmm??" Huo Yuhao tilted his head. The ground was trembling slightly, and Huo Yuhao could feel it because of his Extreme Earth Manipulation. "Something big is stomping the ground."
He used his Kenbunshoku Haki and Eyes of the Lord to see far away. A head filled with white fur came into his vision, which left him speechless for a moment. The size of this spirit beast is towering over the mountain range around it.
"We are done absorbing our spirit rings, young lord/your majesty." Zhou Xuan and Ling Ming said simultaneously.
"You fucker-! I'm the first."
"In your head! I absorbed mine faster than yours."
"We are going to hike that mountain. Have any of you rejected this idea?" Huo Yuhao asked calmly.
"No response. I take that as a no."
Qianye Ying'er smiled inside on the side because Huo Yuhao was releasing his aura on Zhou Xuan and Ling Ming so they could calm down. She walked beside Huo Yuhao and hummed a random tune she heard from Huo Yun'er.
"Dango~, Dango~."

"Halt your movement." Huo Yuhao frowned a little because his Haoshoku Haki flared for a moment. That giant ape was the one who provoked him when reaching this continent. How convenient to meet that guy here.
"Stay here. I'll talk with this lad first."
Qianye Ying'er waved her hand and responded, "Okay."
After leaving his Haoshoku Mark to repel the spirit beast away from his companions, Huo Yuhao jumped from tree to tree and approached the enormous spirit beast. He reached the area with a grand waterfall with a deep blue lake below it.

"Hey, Bro! Don't pollute the water." He yelled while smirking at the beast.
ROAR!
"Human... How could there be a human here?" The beast responded weirdly. "Human, weak. Human, die."
A water blade made of the lake water appeared on the Great Waterfall Ape's hand. He swung the weapon to Huo Yuhao and created a shockwave, cutting a portion of the mountain range.
"Damn, bro. It's not that deep." Huo Yuhao dodged by creating a wormhole.
BOOM!

"Thank you, Sherlock Evo. There is no way I figured that out by myself." Huo Yuhao sarcastically responded while falling from the sky. He clenched both of his hands and smashed them against each other.
The Great Waterfall Ape felt danger and staggered because the ground was shaking below him. Two rock pillars burst out of the mountain and smashed him like a sandwich.
SWOOSH! BOOM!
"Sakura Sealing Arrays." Chains of Heaven wrapped around the pillar and trapped the Great Waterfall Ape with no way out. The gravity increased by 200% for a beast that weighs roughly like a small mountain. It would be fatal.
An abnormally huge mace and shield made of Eas appeared in Huo Yuhao's hand, shining with a metallic shade. He used the normal force of gravity and added momentum to his incoming attack.

A purple light escaped Huo Yuhao's eyes, and his entire body was covered by Thunderfire, causing dragon scales to appear on his upper body. He added the Divine Flame into the mace and boosted his attribute again.
"Provoke." His spiritual energy exploded and reached the Great Waterfall Ape's mind, angering the beast even more. It makes things easier because the ape wouldn't be able to think clearly to counter him now.
ROAR!
"Waterfall Slash."
The Great Waterfall Ape angrily used his deadliest attack and sent a flying water blade akin to a moving waterfall to Huo Yuhao.
"Wormholes." Huo Yuhao created a wormhole on the Great Waterfall Ape's neck, directing the attack back to the big monkey.
BOOM!
"HUMAN!" A painful roar escaped the beast.
Huo Yuhao lowered his shield and whispered, "Shield Charge."
BAM!
He smashed the fiery shield onto the Great Waterfall Ape's thick head, creating a dent in his skull. He rotated his whole body and swung the mace with his full strength.
"Holy Smite!!"
BOOM!
ROAR!
Huo Yuhao controlled the earth around and squeezed the Great Waterfall Ape into a coffin. A cracked skull should have stunned the beast for a moment, allowing him to use another killing technique.
"Space Compression." He used half his spirit energy and squeezed the Great Waterfall Ape's neck.
Crack!
He dragged his hand down indifferently and ripped the Great Waterfall Ape's head from its neck. Evo confirmed the kill a few moments later.
