Chapter 76: WHERE ARE YOU
"Tell me, what did my father do Edward?" asked Alicia the moment she was put inside the car. She knew Edward wouldn't act up like this unless if he was really cornered, so the ONLY reason had to be her father.
Edward wished he could find a hole and hide himself in it forever, she caught on ealier than he wished she would.
He answered slugishly with, "okay fine, he threatened to have me stay in Brittian until I get married if I don't bring you back home in three days. You know my parents would agree willingly to that idea of course, as if there's a chance of that. Most importantly, I have too much on my hands with my line of work, I can't say grounded in Brittain for even a year let alone the rest of my life."
Alicia, "..."
Her father really was a master of blackmail, she made a mental note to learn from him in the future.
After daydreaming about her father for a while, Alicia the said, "Hand over your phone I need to make a few calls."
Edward dilligently handed over his phone with a smile knowing that he had doged a bullet this time. Thinking of doging bullets he still needed to investigate why Quin had dissapeared suddenly after she was soo thrilled about having Alicia safe and sound.
Alicia on the other hand who had no idea about what had happened before quickly called her father first, she needed him to stop his plans for Edward, the poor man was already married to his job what else did they want from him.
When the call went through, the first thing she heard was, "You better have her next to you or I'll have Chris organise a few potential wives for you!!"
Alicia, "..."
It seemed like her father was really serious about keeping Edward near him from now on, it was truly frightening.
After a deep breath Alicia spoke to her father and said, "I'm still alive, I won't let you do that to Edward dad, you know he married his job a long time ago, don't make him cheat like this."
After a simple sigh her father calmed down a bit as if he could breath again and said, "Come back home little Ally, your mother is getting worried, you know she isn't the best person to be around when she gets anxious. And I'm glad your safe little kid, tell me everything that happened the moemnt you land back okay."
Alicia asnwered with, "mm, I'm sorry I dissapeared on you guys."
with that she cut off the call and dialed another number with an ambiguoug smile on her face.
When the call went through, there was a hoarse, ruspy voice which came, "HELLO?..."
Alicia was stunned for a while and answered with, "It's me, ..."
There was a long sigh which came from the other end of the call and the man said, "Where are you?"
