Destiny was a unique thing to think about.
To many, they had no control of it, and even those who could control Destiny…they had very little leeway to do it!
An example was the Golden Destiny Conclave itself. If they were truly masters of destiny like their name intended, wouldn't they already be masters of the Empyrean and Celestial Planes?
They were not- which showed the limitation that some beings would have even if they comprehended the Grand Dao of Destiny! But…this was not the case for Noah.
Certain beings were simply built differently, with their destiny being something that far superseded all others! If such beings were capable of peering into their destiny and beginning to navigate it consciously…they were bound to cause a huge commotion, whether it was in their Planes, or their entire Universe.

A golden sphinx fell down before Noah's eyes as the generated Plasma beams finally tore through its defenses, Noah's eyes glimmering as after nearly clearing one side of this fantastical Dao Dimensional Rift, he saw the appearance of two glimmering Crystals drop as loot!
WAA!
His eyes fluttered quickly as the crystals were brought to him, a golden glow perfusing around him.
"That's…"
Annalise's voice rang out a few feet away as this girl was absorbing a Galaxy Rank Core while releasing Ice Meteors in front of them, turning her eyes to see what Noah was grabbing onto due to their radiance!
"Grand Dao Crystals of Destiny! Haha, let's finish up!"
THRUM!
His blue eyes released arcs of light as he looked at the sight before him, seeing the white glistening Ice Meteors descend down by Annalise's commands as before them, a myriad of golden colored beasts releasing the essence of destiny lay dead before them.
His senses connected to his Units as he saw their regions were almost cleared, with three of them meeting the rift bosses of the Grand Dao Rift as for Noah's Units…they would not be hindered by such Rift Bosses!
Beams of plasma formed around him he helped Annalise to clear up the rest of the Beasts, the last one falling as his Units also finished ganging up on the remaining Rift Boss from far away.
OOM!
A blue runic circle began to form and shine not too far from Noah as he received a prompt right before his eyes soon after.
[The Grand Layer of the Sphinx has been added to Idle Mode.]
It was the notice of a Grand Dao Dimensional Rift being added to Idle Mode, and it was one that caused Noah to be excited as he sat down in a meditative position soon after! Annalise came to sit beside him as she was still absorbing Galaxy Cores, her eyes curiously staring at the golden crystals that Noah was about to absorb.
"Now…let's see what Destiny is!"
Noah couldn't delay any longer as he didn't even leave the Rift, beginning to absorb the Grand Dao Crystals right there as he truly wanted to know about Destiny! He had learned the law of fate as it gave him glimpses of directions of where to go, but the most that one could discern with fate was short term time limits and events currently occurring around them.
With Destiny, it was a much grander concept- especially with it being a Dao, as someone would be able to learn just how grand their Destiny is. The beings that were destined for a grand life or those who would become rulers of Realms of even Universes would have rivers of golden destiny waving around them, with those even more powerful gaining access and being able to see their Fortune!
Noah wanted to know how wondrous his Destiny would be, and what exactly awaited him in the future after he obtained the Legacy of the Usurper in conjunction with the Idle Gaming System. He was already experiencing utter ease on his journey as literally nothing was standing in his way, and he wondered just how much smoother his journey would get.
THRUM!
A golden glow began to emulate with him at the very center as he began to absorb the wondrous Grand Dao Crystals of Destiny.
"My destiny…"
He uttered slowly as his blue eyes brightened gold briefly, the comprehension of a high tier Grand Dao flowing into him as he began able to see the waves of destiny surrounding him.
He had a smile on his face as his eyes rose up to meet the scene that he was not able to see before, the scene of his vast Destiny that was…
…!
The smile on his face faded.
His eyes turned grim and began to shake as when they rose up with the golden glow to see his own destiny…he didn't see vast rivers of golden destiny swirling around him! Instead, he was shocked to find a heavy and murky cloud of darkness that was gradually liquifying, this cloud of darkness covering everything around him for miles as it would even affect those around him!
"What?!"
RUMBLE!
He unconsciously rose up with a bellow at the unbelievable sight, Annalise looking towards him with worry as she saw his expression of shock and disbelief.
How could he not be shocked? The moment he comprehended Destiny and looked at his own, he was faced with the reality that his destiny was extremely grim, no matter how bright his current life was! He saw dense murky clouds surrounding him as they represented a future of death and destruction, and this was his own future- not of others!
There was barely an ounce of gold in his Destiny as Noah felt his disbelief and anger rising, the Crystals of Destiny he was holding and absorbing cracking as the more he comprehended this dao, the clearer he became of his own destiny.
Barely any wisps of gold could be seen as they represented his current situation- everything going smoothly around him without any worries. But everything else was a vast darkness as at the end of it all…was death.
…!
Death! To a being such as him who had the most overpowered System! To someone like him that could traverse dimensions after obtaining the legacy of a terrifying expert!
His Destiny after all this was actually so bad as it prompted him to ask- just who or what in the future would take everything he had from him?!
BZZT!
The surroundings began to tremble and shake as Noah's eyes began to release wrathful arcs of light.
"Brother?!"
Annalise called out with alarm as she felt her figure pushed away, a thundering voice reaching her ears as it boomed from Noah's figure.
"I refuse to accept it!"
