"And Unique FC are through to the quarterfinals!" Jim exclaimed as soon as the referee blew his whistle for the third time to finally bring the match to an end.

Unique FC fans just couldn't hold in their joy after hearing that last whistle and the same could be said about the players and everyone down there who wanted Unique FC to win.

Norman had to rush to the pitch with smiles all over his face and the players who were on the bench couldn't just sit there and do nothing, they had to race to the pitch and celebrate with their teammates who made sure that they came out of this battle alive.

"Their Bilbeth Super Cup dreams are still alive! Oh, what a match this has been."

Spree City couldn't believe what hit them at that last minute and a lot of their players were sitting on the floor now with their face down.

It was always going to be devastating when a team manages to drag a match on for this long and then end up losing.

"Honestly, Unique FC should have sealed this match a long time ago but they kept missing those good chances, how many times did they even hit the woodwork in this match?" Steve expressed.

"Yeah, you're right, I think it was seven times. Spree City seemed to be quite tough for them in the first half but after they switched back to their normal formation in the second half they slowly began to regain control but still, the finishing wasn't there.

"Mateo wasn't really himself in this match, considering his performance in the past few weeks, he looked quite lackluster but it's a good thing he managed to assist that winning goal."

The players were celebrating in front of the fans now, and they were not taking things easy just like the fans who were jumping up and down in the sands.

Dave was announced as the man of the match at the end of the game and it was expected given everything he was able to pull off in this match.

He was able to keep his team in the game with those close saves in the first half and he was also the one who made sure they stayed in the game and took the fight to extra time with that free kick.

"They're really pushing for everything this season, you know I don't doubt their ability to win the treble now," Jim commented.

"Same here but I think we should wait for them to get past their next opponents who they will be facing in the quarterfinals, it's Unique FC versus Dynamo FC in the quarterfinals, Norman and his boys have another tough fight ahead of them in the Bilbeth Super Cup."

After that, the two talked about a few other things before bringing their broadcast to an end.

The faces of Unique FC players were all smiles as they made their way toward the tunnel.

There were also a lot of fans who were calling their names from the stands mostly because they wanted their shirts.

"Hey, Minino, can I have your shirt?!" A young boy yelled from the stands as soon as the midfielder got close enough to the area.

He wanted to make sure the midfielder heard that, and it worked just like he wanted.

"Sure," Minino replied before quickly moving closer to the area.

As soon as he got there, he pulled off his shirt and handed it to him before proceeding to fist-bump him.

The young boy was stunned to the extent that he could only gaze at the midfielder until he turned around and quickly made his way down the tunnel and that was when he burst open with uncontrollable excitement.

While most of his teammates had already gone down the tunnel, Dave was still up there because a reporter had to stop him to ask him some questions.

"That was a magnificent free kick goal from you, Dave, that's your third free kick goal from five takes. At this point, there are people suggesting that it would be a good idea to make you the team's main free-kick taker, what do you think about that?" The reporter inquired before turning the microphone to him.

'Another controversial question.'

<Always expect it, they're looking for something to sell anyway>

"Well, we already have Mateo and he's one of the best free-kick takers in the league so I don't really see why they should strip him of that role and give it to me, I'm pretty sure he would have converted that free kick if he had decided to take but I was the one who asked him to let me take it." The goalkeeper articulated.

"So, you don't like the idea?"

"Unless Mateo is okay with it which I'm sure he wouldn't." He replied with a shrug.

"Hmm, I see."

After that, he asked the goalkeeper a couple of other questions before finally leaving him alone.

He slowly turned around and was about to start heading down the tunnel when he spotted something in the stands.

There was a young boy sitting on his mother's thighs holding a piece of cardboard with something boldly written on it.

'I love you, Dave. Can I have your gloves, please?'

After reading the words on the cardboard subconsciously, he couldn't help but smile before quickly making his way to the area with both of his gloves in his left hand.

The boy didn't even know when he popped up in front because he had his gaze on something on the right.

"Hey, Jamie, look." His mother said before giving him a little tap on the shoulder.

The boy had to quickly turn his gaze back to see what she was talking about, and as soon as he saw who was standing there right in front of him, his eyes widened in amazement.

"Dave." He muttered.

"Here you go." The goalkeeper said before handing his gloves over to him.

"Thank you." The little boy stuttered.

"Thank you, you just made his night." The mother smiled.

"I'm glad I did." He replied before giving the little boy a little rub on the head. "See you later, Jamie." He added before quickly rushing down the tunnel.

<I just love seeing wholesome moments like that after matches>

'Really? I never knew you had the capabilities to love anything.'

<Hey!>

'I'm just kidding, you're pretty wholesome yourself when you want to be.'

<Is that supposed to be a compliment?>

'Of course, what else is it supposed to be?'

<I was just confirming because it sounded a bit sarcastic to me>

'Oh, Catherine.' He replied with an inward sigh. 'Anyway, can I see my post-match rewards now?'

<Sure>

[ Victory rewards ]

[ Six crucial saves: +60 exp ]

[ Goals conceded(1) ]

[ Goals scored(1): +150 exp ]

[ Match rating: 9.0 ]

'Could have been better with a clean sheet but I guess it was bound to happen like this.' He said subconsciously as he continued his walk to the locker room.

The closer he got to the room, the louder the singing he started hearing when he walked down the tunnel got, and when he got there, he could see that Minino was running around with a couple of his teammates.

"Just as expected." He muttered with a smile before shaking his head.
