"So, you hit your head on the post by accident," Emma said before slowly turning her gaze to the goalpost behind them.

"Yeah, but it's okay now." The goalkeeper said as he slowly rubbed the back of his head.

"Hitting your head on that post was that painful?" She said, sounding a bit lost because it just didn't add up and most of all, there was no bump on his head, if it was that painful, then there was supposed to be a bump.

"Yeah, is anything wrong?" The goalkeeper asked.

"No, it's nothing…." She wanted to say something else but just didn't know what she needed to add.

"So, what are you doing at home? You're not supposed to be home this early." He asked.

"Didn't I add it to the note?" She asked.

"Add it to the note?"

"Oh, I forgot to add it." She said before slowly getting up back on her feet. "I left work early because there is something I need to take care of that doesn't require me to be at my workplace."

"But it's something related to work, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, totally, I wouldn't just leave work because of personal reasons, unless it's urgent."

"Okay." The goalkeeper said before getting up from the floor. "I think we should head inside then."

"Um…yeah, go on, I'll be right there."

The goalkeeper turned his gaze to her and slowly brought it up from toe to head.

"Okay." He said with a shrug before he continued his walk toward the front door.

Emma watched him until he entered the house and shut the door before she slowly got closer to the goalpost and slowly placed her hand on the left post. As soon as her hands touched it, a shocked expression appeared on her face.

"This isn't even that hard, it's a bit hard but not as hard as steel like the ones used in stadiums, this is more like plastic than steel." She muttered.

'Nobody will yell like that after hitting his head on this.' She said subconsciously before turning her gaze to where he found Dave after getting home. 'Then what was the cause of his pain? He was in pain no doubt about that, but it can be the goalpost, so what was the cause of it and why did it stop all of a sudden?'

Dave was just walking out of the kitchen with two glasses of orange juice in his hands when the door was pushed open for Emma to enter the house.

"There you are." The goalkeeper said before he made his way to her and handed her a glass of juice.

"Thank you." She said before she took the glass of juice from him and took a sip from it.

"So, how was work today?" He asked.

"It was nice. Can you hold this for me for a second?"

"Sure." The goalkeeper said before taking the glass from her so that she would be able to remove her jacket to reveal the white vest she was putting on under the jacket.

After removing the jacket, she took the glass of juice from him and quickly gulped down the contents before she made her way to the dining table and dropped the glass there.

"I am starving." She muttered before slowly sitting down on one of the seats.

"I think I saw a few apples in the freezer, should I bring them?" Dave asked.

"I said I needed something to eat, a few apples." The goalkeeper sensed a little bit of grumpiness in her voice and he could tell she was struggling to stop herself from hitting the table with the way her hands were hanging over it now.

"Okay, fine, what do you want? I'll order it."

"Really?" She said as her eyes suddenly brightened up.

"Yeah, just name it." He said.

"You mean name them." She said,

"Name them?"

"Yeah, because I need orange soda, cake, some biscuits, and a couple of candies and maybe you can sneak some gum in there for me." She blotted out.

After hearing her name all that, Dave couldn't help but look a bit lost.

"You need all that?"

"Yeah." She responded with a nod.

"You're really turning into a child, Emma." He said.

<It can't be helped>

"What are you talking about, I'm carrying our child down here aren't I?"

"Yeah, but…."

"But what?" She asked before peering closely at him.

"Never mind." He said before letting out a deep sigh. "I'll just go get it, but I don't think I can order all of this online."

Emma watched him as he slowly made his way upstairs to get something and once he was out of sight, she let out a sigh before putting her head on the table.

"I can't believe this is going to get any worse." She said before looking down at her belly. "But…." She wasn't able to finish that sentence as a smile appeared on her face.

The goalkeeper had gotten the soda, cake, and biscuits and now he was entering a candy shop to get the candies just like she requested and maybe some gum.

The shop wasn't entirely full, but there were quite a good number of people there and most of them were little kids.

The goalkeeper walked past the lollipops and other sweet snacks that were being displayed there to the candy area.

He was busy going through the different types of candies there while thinking of which one Emma would like, he was quite lost in his thoughts that he didn't realize when someone called him from the side.

"Hey, Dave."

The person had to get closer and call his name before he was able to snap out of his daze.

He slowly turned his gaze to where the voice came from to see Adolf standing there, he wasn't alone as he was holding onto the hands of a little boy.

"Oh, hey, Adolf, what are you doing here?" The goalkeeper asked as soon as he spotted him.

"Well, I was just doing some practice with my son in the park, I promised I would get him candy after that and here we are," Adolf explained.

That was when Dave looked down to see the son he was talking about.

The boy had long black hair just like his dad but his eyes were brown unlike Adolf's which were blue, maybe he got that from his mother. He also got a lot of different features from his father, like his small lips and the little freckles under his right eye.

"He looks quite a lot like you," Dave said before slowly placing his hand on the little boy's head. "How're you doing, little guy?"

The kid didn't respond and quickly went behind his father.

"He's a bit shy," Adolf said.

"That's okay." The goalkeeper said before getting up on his feet.

"So, what are you doing here?"

"Well, my wife's been going through a lot of appetite reform since she became pregnant and now she wants candies." He replied.

"Candies." Before letting out a little chuckle. "That's normal, my wife asks for a lot of weird stuff whenever she gets pregnant, especially when she still had little Mason here in her belly. Just get her what she wants and try not to get into an argument with her."

"You don't need to tell me that, an argument with her when she's normal is too much of a headache to talk more of now. " The goalkeeper said.

"Just take things easy, see you later." The captain said before he began to leave the area with his son.

"Okay, bye, bye Mason." The goalkeeper said before turning his gaze back to the area to continue his candy search.
