"That was really fun," Dave said before crashing down on his bed.

"Yeah," Mateo said before crashing down on his bed flat on his face. "But tiring too."

"You got that right." The goalkeeper said.

'My stamina and energy have fallen so low.'

<I told you to stop but you wouldn't listen>

"You're really fast Dave, you weren't that fast last time, it's like you're getting better every single day." The winger said.

Dave stared at him for a while before replying.

"I've been working hard to improve every day and I'm glad that I'm getting results although it isn't exactly as you just put it now." He replied.

"Yeah, it may not be exactly as I put it but still, you're improving rapidly, it's something that seems impossible but you're doing it." The winger said.

"Yeah, I guess so but I think anybody can do it."

<Yeah, but the person won't get all the skills and power-ups that you have now>

"Yeah, maybe but I don't think I know anyone else who has improved as rapidly as you did but there are a lot of people in the world so there may be someone else out there." Mateo expressed.

"You improve fast too, Mateo, at such a young age you've already become known as a threat to teams' defenses." The goalkeeper said.

"Not as fast as you've improved recently." The winger said.

'I think it's time to change this topic about improving fast.'

<Yeah>

"So, we're going to face Dynamo FC tomorrow, right?" He said.

"Yeah, the only Bilbeth Premier League team that we're going to be facing in this pre-season tour," Mateo said.

"How do you think the match is going to play out?"

"Well, on paper they are weaker than most of the teams we've faced so far but that doesn't mean we can beat them easily."

"You know our team is different and stronger now." The goalkeeper said.

"That's not what I am talking about."

"Then what are you talking about?" Dave asked.

"We both play in the same league so they've had more experience playing against us than any of those other teams, they know a thing or two about our style of play, and to add to that, we weren't able to beat them in any of our last five meetings, one was a draw and we were beaten in the other four." The winger expressed.

"Yeah, I get what you're trying to say but doesn't that apply to us too, we also have a good experience in facing them and now that we have a better team, coach can come up with a way for us to beat them." The goalkeeper said.

"You're right, it also applies to us and I trust the coach to come up with something good but it's still not going to be easy, I can feel it."

Unique FC vs Dynamo FC was a long drawn-out battle between both teams, both teams gave it their all.

Unique FC kept most of the ball and tried to attack with every good chance they got.

Dynamo FC on the other hand didn't care about keeping the ball for long, they attacked every time they got the ball and they made sure to shoot with every chance they got but luckily for Unique FC, Dave Richards was there to stop most of those shots, especially the deadly and tricky ones.

Unique FC controlled the match thanks to their coordinated midfield, their passes were neat and their build-up was a sight to behold.

Dynamo FC were ferocious with their attacks all in the attempt to force out a goal from Unique FC but despite that, the match ended in a goalless draw.

Mateo had come really close to scoring just before the final whistle, he received the cross from the other side from Luis Roberto and quickly laid the pass off to Ferran.

"Unique FC are starting a quick build-up with the match about to come to an end," Jim said.

Ferran moved forward with the ball and just as he got closer to the edge of the box, he feigned shooting toward the goalpost before sending the ball back to Minino with his back heel.

Minino understood what Ferran wanted to do and quickly sent the ball flying toward Mateo from the top.

The winger waited for the ball to get in front of him and just before it could touch the floor, he sent it flying toward the goalpost with just a little hit.

"Mateo!"

There was nothing the goalkeeper could do as the ball quickly flew past him but luckily for him, the ball ended up hitting the right post before flying past the line for a goal kick.

"That was so close to being the ultimate moment of the match," Steve said.

Mateo had a disappointed look on his face as the referee blew his whistle thrice to finally bring the match to an end.

The goalkeeper was sitting on the bench by the time the match came to an end and he seemed pretty satisfied with the result.

'At least I didn't concede any goal, six goals conceded with just two matches left.'

<Remember that those last two opponents are Wolfsburg and Real Sociedad, those two are going to be tough and unpredictable so don't take them lightly>

'I know.'

"It ended goalless but it was not boring by any means, both teams gave it their best, I guess maybe because they're from the same league, they just canceled each other and ended it on equal grounds," Jim said.

"Mateo Smith had scored in every match they've played in this pre-season tour until today, he was brought on pretty late in the seventy-fifth minute but he put on a nice show for us, he should have gotten that goal at the last minute but it seems like it was not meant to be." Steve articulated.

"That marks the end of our coverage for today, goodbye and we'll see you all next time."

Dave was declared the man of the match as soon as the final whistle was blown and there was no doubt about that, he was just exceptional today, stepping up in crucial moments to keep his team in the match, stopping two one-on-one situations was what really won him that man of the match award.

'Two man of the match awards in seven games.' Dave said subconsciously as he walked to the locker room with his teammates and the rectangular man of the match award in his hand. free(w)ebnovel

<Yeah, that's pretty impressive for a goalkeeper and now you've also kept two clean sheets in seven matches>

'Yeah, I guess.' He replied. 'Show me my post-match rewards.'

<Now?>

'Yeah, I want to run through it quickly.'

'I guess I played a big role in keeping the clean sheets this time around despite coming off in the sixty-ninth minute.'

<You were the main key to that clean sheet>

'I wonder the amount of exp I will get for doing something like this against Barcelona.'

<A huge amount of exp>
