Chapter 48: Healing Princess
Since the silver mine is not really profitable, only a few miners work in the silver mine. If our main mining is diamonds or gold, the miners will rush to work here like the Gold Rush incident on the Earth. In addition, the mine that Vankriff family owns is small. If we excavate so much without a pause, it will become an empty hole. We need to avoid this scenario to maintain the condition of the mine. As long as it produces quite some amount of income, that’s enough. For this reason, all the miners who work in the silver mine are the servants of the Vankriff family.
After seeing the mine, I visit the miners with Father. Particularly, since the miners tend to be exposed to poisonous gas and mercury poisoning, there are many people who gets sick with various illness. The mineral also can leak into the water sources and pollute it. We are going to visit them and create a settlement. We will do a thorough inspection of the vicinity and set up a health care in place.
Actually, there is something that I have prepared for this issue. I remember the chemical formula of medicine from my previous life that will be beneficial. Based on that memory, I develop some painkillers medicine and antibiotics.
From the list of ingredients of over-the-counter-drug, I become engross in calculating the ingredients that will be used for the whole medicine and having fun in the whole process. Although the efficacy of the medicine is the same, the content of the ingredients is different from each manufacturer. From this, I would like to find out what is the common ingredients and the balance of the formula. I also certainly look at the formula of the medicine. When I told people about this, most of them are taken back and became silent. They never have any thought that this medicine will be useful. Compare to researcher, scientist tend to easily become convinced when they once see the formula. Notably when I proclaimed the formula passionately in front of everyone at the place where it sells hydrogen water, ‘The hydrogen water can be easily made by mixing hydrogen into the water……!’
When I remember that incident, I feel enthusiastic again.
Once I see the condition of the miners, I stealthily prescribe some medication to detoxify the toxic. Before I know it, I get a nickname ‘Medical Princess’ in the territory.
Our visit is done inconspicuously. Prior to our visit, Sauvell has made a preparation to gather all of the sick miners for the treatment. There aren’t many options for medical treatment in this world, such as using herbs as medicine, and casting spell while praying to the spirits (some kind of magic to heal the wound or other sick part of the body immediately). The people in this world usually pray to Leven, the big spirit who governs over life and Cruelen, the spirit who governs healing power. That’s all to it.
Speaking of which, when I made the painkillers and antibiotics, Cruelen became interested with what I was doing. To begin with, humans and spirits have a different physical structure. For spirit, the concept of sickness does not exist at all. When I got to know about that, I was surprised about it.

Today as well, after I finish the medical treatment for the miners, I go back to the resident with Father. In the middle of our return, Sauvell caresses my head.
Sauvell: “Based on the reports, Ellen’s medicine significantly reduces the dead rates of the sick miners. Truly, thank you very much.”
While being caresses by Sauvell, I once again have a realization. Although I am happy when the spirits are happy, but the happiness of people who are closed to you makes you feel more gratifying.
Ellen: “……Ehehe”
Although I feel embarrassed by his compliments, shortly after that I forwardly ask about the fertilizer for the farms. Sauvell lovingly pats my head again. Hearing that makes me feel happy and relief.

Suddenly Father hugs me really tight that it makes me hard to breathe.

Sauvell: “……Older brother, Ellen is suffocating.”
Sauvell casually snatch me away from Father and hold me into his arm. Lately Uncle Sauvell has saved me from Father like this in multiple occasion. In addition, he always put me to sit on his left shoulder. Because of his firm physical build, he is unperturbed even though I sit on top of his left shoulder. Actually, my weight is really light. As a spirit, my weight is about 1/5 of a normal human weight. Despite of that fact, he is still amazing.
Nevertheless, Father cannot do the same thing because of his slender build. If he can do this too, I will be very happy.
Ellen: “Fufu.”
Looking at my satisfied expression while laying my head on Sauvell heads makes Father so envious that he grudgingly gnashing his teeth in frustration. His handsome face is totally ruined as a result. In this manner, I spend my days peacefully with Father and the others. However, the Royal family definitely cannot know about the existence of this medicine.
The atmosphere starts to become restless. The restlessness slowly approaching like a clear sky which transform into overcast.
