Chapter 22: The Dinner Banquet with My Family

After my mother drops me down, I bow down in a ladylike manner to greet them. I can hear the servants’ admiration voices when I greet them in a polite manner. The menservants who look at Mother’s face, their face become slightly red. Meanwhile, all the maids who look at me, are squealing that I am really cute.

During the party, both Lawrence and Isabella are zealously taking care of me. One by one, plates with different kinds of dishes are being put in front of me continuously. Chairs and tables are prepared in a hurry and there are various dishes being served on top of the table. From meat dishes, salads, and even different kinds of soups. My parents and the rest of the three people are smacking their lips at the dishes.
There are an excessive amount of food and it is clear that I, father, and mother won’t be able to finish everything. When we are taking a little bite of each dish and giving out our impression at the same time, I realize that everyone is observing us attentively. It seems that they find our actions are pleasing to see.
All the servants who have been serving the house for more than ten years are deeply touched by Rovel’s change of attitude and facial expression which is more outgoing and gentler. They even being moved to tears.
Meanwhile, the maids are timidly serving some food to Mother. When Mother gives her gratitude with a smile each time they serve her some food, the maids’ face becomes brighter. Looking at the big differences between mother and Agriel, all the maids are praising mother that she is a lovely and kind lady. Hearing that my mother is being praised and admired like that makes me happy as her daughter.
Ellen: “Grandpa! This is delicious!”
When I find some dishes that particularly well suited to my taste, I decide that I should give some appreciation for the head chef who made it. Hence, I excitedly point out the dish that I like and praise it. When I do that, Lawrence seems to be taking some memo.
