All and every Spirit Plant is a treasure of heaven and earth whether they are useful or useless

Of course, even if all of them are treasures of heaven and earth it doesn’t mean that they are all equal just like how mages differ in strength

A quality 1 vismian grass is a treasure of heaven and earth but they are not particularly valuable and there are literally millions of them in the world

The Blue Jade Tree on the other hand is a rare almost impossible to possess Spirit Plant

Even a seed of this tree is incredibly precious. Not to mention, even if a person got a hold of the seed, they would still need to pay a heavy price for the seed to germinate, grow into a tree, and bear Blue Jade Fruits

Whether it be the clans of mages or formidable organizations in this world, all of them want to have a Blue Jade Tree

The top forces of the world have this kind of tree as one of their foundations

The value of the Blue Jade Tree and its fruits are immense but now, in just a day, Rezen managed to grow the tree from scratch which would normally take years along with the usage of countless other resources

This is all thanks to his mystical farm though right now, the tree is still small and can only bear one fruit a week

“Let’s see how effective the Blue Jade Fruits are”

Rezen waved his hand and pieces and pieces of vismian grass, soul-tearing peas, rainbow clementines, spring almonds, thorny sunflower seeds, and many more appeared

As soon as these treasures of heavens and earth that absorb the essence of the world appeared, the Blue Jade Tree trembled

One of its roots shot out and absorbed the spirit plants for its own personal consumption

“How could this be?! Those spirit plants are worth at least 10,000 mana stones!” Rezen exclaimed in surprise.

The 10,000 mana stones only pertain to the cost of the seeds. If those spirit plants were sold outside, their price would definitely be more than twice the investment

However, despite absorbing the treasures of heaven and earth worth tens of thousands or even more than a hundred thousand, the Blue Jade Tree still hasn’t grown a fruit

“Blue Jade Fruit, a heaven-defying treasure that could turn a waste into a genius… sure enough, it’s not that simple”

Rezen smiled bitterly as he waved his hand for the second time. More and more Spirit Plants appeared and after some time, a fruit finally formed

This fruit as expected was blue in color and instead of looking like fruit, its appearance was that of a sparkling blue gem

The kind of sparkling gem that people would like to make pieces of jewelry or other trinkets with

The fruit contains an abundant amount of heaven and earth’s essence. Just by a glance, Rezen knew that fruit is a great treasure

The kind of fruit that a normal person doesn’t have a chance of obtaining

After all, the higher the talent is, the rarer they would appear and the same are true for the treasures that could improve a mage’s talent

Without wasting time, Rezen popped the Blue Jade Fruit into his mouth and swallowed it

The fruit looks aesthetically pleasing but increasing Rezen’s talent was a priority

Boom!

Rezen’s elixir field shook as it absorbs the Blue Jade Fruit’s pure essence. He can sense that his elixir field was being washed by the pure essence of the Blue Jade Fruit

The pure essence was like a raging storm bombarding Rezen’d elixir field to the point that cracks appeared before being healed by the very same essence that destroyed it. Even Rezen’s soul and body was assaulted by the gush of pure essence

“Cough! Cough! Cough!”

An uncomfortable feeling aroused in Rezen’s throat and he belched out a black slimy substance with a horrible stench

That black substance was Rezen’s own coagulated blood filled with filth and impurities

“Bleeggh, that tastes horrible” Rezen immediately washed his palate with some strawberries that he grew on his farm

He didn’t expect that consuming the Blue Jade Fruit would result in such a disgusting phenomena

[Ding! Host consumed the treasure of heaven and earth; Blue Jade Fruit. Host’s absorption talent increased by 5%!]

The system notified Rezen and his eyes glowed in elation. 5%! That’s a whole 5% increase in talent!

Granted, that might not look much but in this world, there are very few treasures that could increase a mage’s talent much less increase it that much

This is just the first Blue Jade Fruit that Rezen consumed and the more fruits he consumed, the more his talent would increase

Of course, the more fruit he consumed the lesser its effects would be

“A Spirit Plant… a treasure of heaven and earth indeed! But alas, that single fruit alone costs me at least 30,000 mana stones. If I sold those spirit plants outside, I’ll definitely earn more than a hundred thousand mana stones”

Unlike the low-grade quality 3 plants and below, Rezen cannot grow hundreds or thousands of Blue Jade Fruits

A quality 4 vismian grass seed might cost 50,000 mana stones but that single seed would grow into ten blades of vismian grasses

Even the costs of quality 4 spirit plants cannot compare to the cost of growing one Blue Jade Fruit

“This tree is terrifying. It seems like I have to accept Kacy’s proposal” Rezen muttered before he sensed commotion nearby

Not that far from Rezen, thousands of Evil Groundshrooms emerged from the ground with most of them either holding snakes with their claws or fighting against them

“What the hell, since when did my farm have a snake infestation?”

Rezen’s eyes almost popped up from seeing thousands of small black snakes emerging from the ground

The strength of the snakes varied from ungraded to 3rd rank magic beasts

However, Rezen somehow felt something weird about these snakes. The snakes do emit the aura of ungraded to 3rd rank magic beasts but there was something weird about them

Rezen cannot describe what he was feeling and he frowned

“Hisss!!!”

Of the thousands of snakes, there was one that has the aura of a 4th rank beast which was longer than the other snakes by half

All the snakes were small and the only 4th rank among them only reach 1 meter long but even then, the strength of magic beasts can’t be measured just by the size

There are magic beasts that are as small as a thumb yet have the power to instakill 6th fusion rank mages or other magic beasts at the same rank as them

The sole 4th rank beast opened its mouth and belched out a spray of greenish cloud that expanded in size

The greenish cloud bursts into thin mist that engulf five quality 3 and one quality 4 Evil Groundshrooms

Almost instantly, the engulfed Evil Groundshrooms trembled. Their bodies blessed by mana were invaded by the greenish mist and they all turned into ashes

“No! Not my precious plants! You beast!”

Seeing that, Rezen flew into rage. Each of his conscious Spirit Plants is special (costs money), especially the quality 4 ones

Naturally, Rezen doesn’t want to see any of them die

“Kill!”

Rezen ordered and whether it be the Evil Groundshrooms, Needle Shooting Cacti, and Nightmare Crows, all of them assaulted the small black snakes

One after another, the black snakes were either torn to shreds by the Evil Groundshrooms, gained holes in their bodies from the purple beams of the Nightmare Crows, or were turned into porcupines by the number of needles that poked their bodies as a result of the attack from the Needle Shooting Cacti

Rezen himself also made a move. Lines of intertwining Tattoos spread from his stomach to his entire body and his eyes momentarily glowed with a yellowish light after he summoned his sun-type mystic gem

“[Essence of the Sun!]”

Rezen’s area of effect spell that he personally created was activated. A magic circle formed on Rezen’s mystic gem that turned it into a miniature sun

Waves and waves of heat spread around. The black snakes near Rezen were burned to death while the ones far from him got all the heat from their bodies sucked and they froze

Despite the time being in the middle of the day, Rezen’s miniature sun still glowed brightly

As he is now a 4th fusion rank mage, his [Essence of the Sun] finally managed to fully show its might

After all, this spell of Rezen is an area of effect spell. Mages below the 4th fusion rank are limited in range while those at the 4th and above rank have a much greater range

The spell spreads and it has tens of meters in diameter. This spell is greatly effective against mobs but unfortunately, it also has a downside

The black snakes at the ‘goldilocks zone’ were unaffected by the spell much like how the earth is just a perfect distance away from the sun for it to sustain life

Rezen still doesn’t know it right now but his [Essence of the Sun] is a spell of a higher value than he thinks right now

One after another, the black snakes died and Rezen even moved around to make sure that those that are originally inside the ‘goldilocks zone’ would be out of its scope

However, the black snake at the 4th rank seems to have been enraged by his action and it flew like an arrow to attack him

“Hmph!” Rezen snorted coldly before he met the black snake head-on

Bang!

His punch threw the black snake tens of meters away from him along with an arrow of blood

“Although magic beasts possess a body better than what humans have this black snake is still more resistant than I thought”

If it was a human at the same rank as them, as long as they don’t have a defensive spell activated that protects their entire body, it still would not take that long before they die

Even normal magic beasts would not be this resistant considering that Rezen’s power comes from both his Mystic Tattoo and Mystic Gem. The [Link] effect was way better than a simple one plus one!

The black snake that was thrown away suddenly recovered thanks to the black mist that it emitted after an imprint glowed from its forehead and its aura rose

“A 5th rank magic beast?!” Rezen exclaimed in surprise as the black snake suddenly exploded with the power of a 5th rank beast while charging at him
