Chapter 229 229. Meeting Mom.
"Now, that is what I want to see," The bald man uttered out excitedly.
He glanced at Kevin's ultimate transformation from top to bottom and noticed the look of determination on Kevin's face.
A smile bloomed on the bald man face. "Since you're willing to take this battle seriously, I guess it's my turn to not hold back,"
He cracked his knuckles and a violent gust of wind blew from underneath his fist, spreading across the hall and leaving the spectators in awe.
It's been centuries since the bald man took a battle seriously and Ares, Deimos and Phobos aren't new to the countless battles he had fought in with his achievement speaking volumes about the bald man.
With a step forward, the bald man vanished from where he stood and appeared behind him with his fist aiming straight to Kevin's spinal cord.
At this point, the battle was already over with the champion all but already known.
There was just no way Kevin could escape the attack that had a hundred percent success rate till this present moment.
But to everyone's surprise, the bald man fist landed on an afterimage rather than Kevin himself.
Ares and his son's eyes widened by what they were seeing.
"Did he (bald man) just try to...." Ares uttered out but Deimos nodded in response before Ares could complete his question.
"Hmm, mmm," Deimos replied with a nod.
"And Kevin was able to react in time faster than him (the bald man) ?" Ares questioned, still trying to process the whole thing he just witnessed happened before his very eyes.
"Y-yes," Phobos replied quickly after noticing how no one else could reply to Ares question.
They all turned their gaze around the hall to find exactly where Kevin vanished into but they were unable to find him.
Suddenly, Phobos noticed the bald man shadow underneath his feet slowly taking an oval shape as it widens and gets bigger.
"There he is!!" Phobos pointed towards the bald man feet to alert him and everyone else in the hall but just before the bald man could react to Kevin's surprise attack, he suddenly found himself being pulled to the ground by a pair of long dark arms.
Now the bald man was surrounded by darkness and nothing else until the sound of Kevin clicking his finger filled the room and the bald man found himself falling into a pit of molten lava.
He fell and a huge splash of hot lava splattered around.
Five terrifyingly huge salamanders circled around the point the bald man fell into the lava.
There was ripples formed in the center, so they knew the bald man was still alive.
They continued to carefully circle around him, waiting for him to come out so they could ambush him by pouncing on him and tearing him to shreds but as they continued to wait patiently for him it felt like he wasn't going to come out any time soon, so one of the salamander dived under to know why the bald man was taking too long to come out.
However, a huge pair of hands grabbed the salamander by the mouth before slowly opening and widening the mouth beyond its limits and a loud cry of agony filled the area before everything turned silent once again.
This alerted the other salamanders of the first salamander demise but none was able to predict the merciless attack that soon befell each of them later.
While one had its jaws broken by the bald man iron like fist, another salamander found its heart roughly pulled out from its thick metallic like body.
The rest had their tails pulled out, their heads smashed until there was no other salamanders remaining and the bald man rise up from the river of molten lava with his body coated in red hot lava.
Upon stepping out, his body remained unharmed with his clothes still intact even after spending a long time in the river of lava.
He lifted his head up to see three huge golems dashing towards him with malicious intent but the bald man wasn't perturbed by this, with a single swing of his fist, each and everyone of the golems crumbled down.
While breathing heavily, the bald man slowly places his hand on his knees to catch his breath.
He rides up back before placing both of his hands to massage his hips.
'Tch, tch, the pain is coming back,' The bald man clicked his tongue while thinking..
'I'm getting too old for this,' He sighed depressingly before slowly widening his lips into a smile as he glanced around, hoping to find Kevin .
"Well?" He spreads his arms wide while turning around.
"You got any more tricks for me?"
"Cause I'm still standing," The bald man grinned, knowing there wasn't any trick Kevin could think of without him knowing how to handle it all.
Everywhere suddenly became silent until countless glowing red magic circles hovered and surrounded the bald man.
His grin widened even more and he noticed a large pack of huge dogs coated in red flames dashing towards him.
The bald man curled his fist tightly and he couldn't wait to get his hands busy once again.
He assumed a battle stance before dashing towards the pack of three headed dogs coming his way.
But as he did this, the bald man fail to notice the black shadow underneath his feet which had stretched and encircled all around him, leaving him no time or space to escape from Kevin's upcoming attack.
As he continued to dash towards the dogs, a bony arm stretched out from underneath the pitch black ground, grappling the bald man by the foot and halting him from making any further movement.
Surprised to see this, the bald man turned to his feet to notice a skeleton emerging out of the ground.
