Edward was also a demon working directly under Ares.
He took off his glasses and looked in the direction of another man who was dressed in a lab coat and walking towards him.
Dr. Orion was the head scientist at the facility.
"Doctor, tell me you have good news." Mr Edward said while walking up to the doctor and looking at the glass cages behind him. They were filled with humans with pale skin and bleach-white eyes.
These cannibals were failed experiments which were going to be vital soldiers for Ares's thousand SSS rank Awakened clones.
"Indeed," Dr Orion chuckled to himself. "And I'm certain Lord Ares would be glad to hear about this as well."
They walked into the building that led to an underground facility.
Dr Orion led the way and stopped at a viewing room with a one-way glass that showed another room on the other side.
Inside this room was a huge crystal that floated and glowed with a white misty aura that seeped out of the crystal.
The sharp pointy edge of the crystal which was floating inches above the ground level made the floor underneath become frozen solid.
This was without a doubt, the source of the most sought-after drug in the Underground World.
The mistletoe.
"I believe you are familiar with how the drug is being extracted?" Dr Orion inquired.
"Indeed." Mr Edward replied.
The huge crystal was even harder than diamond. And this made it extremely difficult to break down and grind into powder form.
Initially, Ares had been the one providing them with the only weapons capable of cracking small chips of the crystal off.
It was those tiny solid chips that were grounded to form mistletoe.
However, the drug was unstable, and many viable test subjects lost their lives during the initial experiment, while others ended up becoming cannibals.
Even the weapons used to cut out tiny pieces of the crystal weren't strong enough to last for a long time. So, Ares proposed the idea that Dr Orion should find an alternative means of extracting the drug.
This meant that, to extract mistletoe from the crystal, a different approach had to be taken.
This caused Dr Orion to focus his attention on the fog coming out of the huge crystal, and a new method of mistletoe production was discovered.
All he had to do was gather the fog and solidify it before grinding it again to powder form. The results of this newly discovered method were beyond Dr Orion's expectations.
Hearing this, Mr Edward's eyes widened. If this was true, it would surely be great news.
Something Ares would truly be glad to hear about.
"How can I be sure that it truly works?"
A smile appeared on Dr Orion's face as he heard Mr Edward's question. He led Mr Edward into a different room with a one-way glass showing another room.
Dr Orion ordered a guard to bring in their next 'willing' candidate and a few minutes later, the guard returned with a man behind him.
The skinny man walked into the room half naked with wide eyes while scratching the side of his arm.
The guard stopped him in front of a desk that had mistletoe placed on it, and the guard left right after the man took a seat in front of the desk, staring at the drug before him.
"Test subject 4331, take the drug and inhale it," Dr Orion's voice echoed through the room and the young man flinched on the spot.
He looked around while continuously scratching his arm and saw no one in the room with him. This made him more alert about the fact that he was being watched.
But what did the voice say about a drug?
He turned towards the table once again and looked at the drug on the desk.
Was this what they wanted him to inhale?
Then this must be why they brought him here.
He had been dead broke for weeks with no place to work and no place to call home either.
His girlfriend left him right after he was sacked from his job.
He even spent his last savings on drugs and decided to take part in gambling, all the while hoping that luck would be on his side.
But still, he ended up with nothing.
Now, he had the chance to make things right for himself.
"Where is my money? You told me I would get my money if I came here."
"Test subject 4331, you will be rewarded once you've done as you were asked."
"S-stop that! Why are you calling me that? Peter. My name is Peter!!"
Mr Edward snarled in anger. He didn't like people wasting his valuable time.
He grabbed the microphone from Dr Orion's hand and spoke to Peter instead.
"Peter Pan or whatever the fuck your name is. You had better inhale that drug now or you won't get paid again!!"
Peter flinched in fear at the threatning tone of the new voice before turning towards the drug again.
This voice sounded a lot more pissed than the first.
'All I have to do is inhale the drug, right?' He thought to himself.
'Then I will be rewarded, right?'
'They will pay me and I will use that money to gamble once again so I can become rich enough to get my life back on the right track.'
'Yes!! This was certainly a win for me.'
'They already revealed how extremely important I am to their work, so they won't kill me.'
Peter hesitantly reached forward and took a small portion of the mistletoe, and both Dr Orion and Mr Edward leaned forward anxiously.
He brought the drug close to his nose and finally inhaled it.
BLISS!!!!!
"Uwahhhhh!!!" A sudden influx of excitement, pleasure and orgasm washed over him.
Peter's eyes closed as he fell straight to the ground. His body was sprawled wide and he had a dopey smile on his face that expressed the indescribable feeling he had.
