Kevin replied and suddenly, he could hear what the demonic dog was thinking.
'Please master, forgive me for not noticing how strong you were when I was summoned.'
"Oh, so you can speak?"
The demonic dog was taken aback when it noticed Kevin could understand it, but then it came to the conclusion that it must be one of the abilities of its new master.
After all, its master was amazing, wasn't he?
'Yes master,' It replied.
'No, your mouth isn't moving. It's more like I can hear your thoughts,' Kevin replied using his own mind to converse with the demon dog.
The demonic dog noticed how Kevin's mouth didn't move, yet it could still hear the words of its master in its head.
It bowed even deeper and said in response. 'Master is wise.'
'Hmm, what is your name?'
It shook its head, indicating that it didn't have one.
[Since you're its Master, it would be better if you gave it one.] The parasite advised.

'But what name would be suitable for a demonic dog such as this?' Kevin mulled it over as the Demonic dog watched in anticipation, waiting to hear the name its master had for it.
'Oh! I've got one!!' Kevin had a sudden inspiration, and the huge demon dog wagged its tail, excited to hear what name it would be called.
'How about Cerberus?'
'That's right. Henceforth, you'll be called Cerberus.'
Kevin named the demon dog and Cerberus acknowledged its new name. Right after it did, its body began to glow and the bright orange flame engulfing its body turned crimson. His familiar also became a lot taller than before.

[Indeed.] The parasite confirmed and Kevin glanced at his phone screen to check the time before turning towards Cerberus who was standing behind him.
"I still want to try out a bit of my new abilities, so I'll see what your abilities are later. But for now, why don't you stay within my shadow until I call upon you."
'Yes master,' Cerberus bowed before facing Kevin's shadow which was cast onto the ground by the reflection from the brightness of the streetlight which was a few meters away from him.

"Alright, since that's out of the way, there's something I've got to ask you," Kevin said to the parasite.
Although he would have preferred to start testing out his new abilities and their limits, there was something the parasite mentioned a few hours ago that had been bothering him since.
