Chapter 137 137. Kevin Vs Brian Stark 4.
But just before Brian Stark could land a crushing blow on him, Kevin rolled away once again. However, this time, he changed the layout of his fabricated reality into something else.
This made Brian Stark slam his fist into the dusty arena of a coliseum, leaving behind a huge crater on the floor.
Feeling perplexed, Brian Stark slowly rose to the full height of his beast form to scan his surroundings, and to his surprise, he wasn't in the fancy room where he and Kevin had been having a drink a few seconds ago but was now standing at the center of an arena.
Because he was perplexed by how he suddenly got here, he failed to notice when Kevin lifted his body from the ground and leaped towards him, aiming his fist towards Brian Stark's face. However, Brian Stark raised his black hairy arms in time to guard and reduce the force of the punch aimed towards his face.
Therefore, Kevin's fist landed on Brian Stark's arms, sending the huge beast flying a few meters away.
But Brian Stark dug his feet into the ground to slow down the pace at which he was flying backwards, causing the sharp claws in his feet to scratch the floor of the arena while a cloud of dust and debris encircled him.
Looking closely at the beast-like transformation Brian Stark now had, he looked more like a Lycan and not just some random beast. But with his current transformation, he had a limit of five minutes to maintain this form before his limbs went numb.
Just before the dust around him settled, Kevin leaped towards him once again, but this time around, a huge baseball bat materialized in his hand and he grabbed it before slamming it straight into Brian Stark's stomach, sending him crashing straight into the arena walls.
A huge crack was formed due to his body's impact on the walls and Brian Stark stepped out of the cloud of smoke in time to see Kevin lunging towards him once again.
He slit his palm with one of his claws, causing beads of crimson blood to glow as it came into contact with the air around him.
He placed his bloodied palm on the ground and a pentagon within a circle formed underneath his feet. This caused a bunch of cannibals to emerge from the magic circle.
Witnessing how Brian Stark was able to do this, the parasite informed Kevin that Brian Stark was actually an S rank Awakened that was capable of controlling and summoning Cannibals.
This meant that Kevin had no room to make mistakes now.
One wrong move and it would be the end of him.
He leaped three steps backwards before spreading his arms wide, a swarm of fireflies spawned from his palms and flew towards the rampaging cannibals.
But just before the fireflies landed on the cannibals, their glowing green abdomen flickered like a time bomb that was ready to explode.
And it did.
*Boom!!*
With a few of the rampaging cannibals exploding, the rest of them did the same as well, because all Cannibals were highly flammable.
This allowed the explosion of the first few cannibals to result in a chain reaction as every single one of the cannibals Brian Stark summoned exploded before his eyes while the shock wave lifted him off the ground and sent him flying until his head hit the solid ground, giving him a mild concussion.
But before he could clearly attain his awareness, he noticed a dark silhouette diving towards him from the sky while the sun shone behind him and he had a huge club in his hand.
Kevin slammed the club sideways into Brian Stark's face, hitting him continuously as Kevin tried to bring the battle to an end. But Brian Stark finally caught the tip of the club with his beastly clawed hand before crushing the club into several splinters.
However, Kevin reacted in time by summoning a huge sword and plunging it fiercely into Brian Stark's chest, but he rolled away just in time to avoid his chest being pierced.
Brian Stark slowly rose to his feet and noticed that a few of his bones had been broken.
He couldn't use the spell he'd used earlier to summon more cannibals because he had used a lot of his mana already.
He could barely even manage to maintain his transformation because he had exceeded his time limit, resulting in him returning to his original form.
But just before he could think of his next course of action, Kevin appeared before him with a huge baseball bat once again, and slammed it against his guts, lifting him off the ground and high into the sky.
A huge chunk of air mixed with blood and saliva gushed out of his mouth before he flew away.
However, while he was still in the air, Kevin suddenly appeared above him, positioning his huge bat horizontally to send him back down to the ground at a speed faster than the speed of sound.
Brian Stark flew straight down, but just before he could make contact with the solid ground, Kevin changed the scenery once again, and both of them found themselves on top of a vast ocean.
Brian Stark fell straight into the ocean and Kevin dived right after him but his appearance had transformed into that of a merman as he flapped his huge colorful tail against the water and propelled himself straight towards Brian Stark like a rocket.
Right after he got really close to Brian Stark, Kevin clasped his hands tightly around Brian Stark's neck with the aim of making him lose the breath he was holding and consume a lot of water.
Several air bubbles flowed out of his mouth and nose as Brian Stark tried to disentangle Kevin's hands from his neck with the last of his strength, but his efforts proved futile.
In the end, his grip on Kevin's hands grew weaker and so did the number of air bubbles coming out of his mouth as he slowly drowned.
But Kevin wasn't done with him just yet. After all, this was barely just the beginning.
