Chapter 132 132. Genus.
The man flew backwards with the back of his head hitting the cage before he landed on the ground.
<<Oh my goodness!! Is everyone seeing this?! Eraser Fist just got KO'd by the Boogeyman's powerful uppercut.>>
<<It looks like his jaw is broken, and his whole face has been disfigured as well!>>
<<How is this even possible?!>>
<<Is the Boogeyman an awakened as well?>>
The crowd grew silent and murmured among themselves after the announcer's speculation.
Meanwhile, two other Awakened walked towards Kevin. They looked like twins; with both men lifting one of their legs to land a kick on either side of Kevin's head.
Kevin raised both of his hands to stop their kicks.
Boom!!!
He staggered backwards and began to feel a stinging pain in both of his hands.
<<Oooh!! The Boogeyman guarded his head against the Gemini twins' famous head-flipping kicks. And surprisingly folks, the Boogeyman's hand is still intact!>>
<<Is this gangster boss' body made of titanium?>>
<<How can he withstand such powerful kicks and still be alive? Don't tell me we're witnessing the rise of a future legend in the underground arena.>>
<<Oooh!! This is just too exciting to watch!!>>
<<What a splendid time to be alive right now. Don't you all agree?>>
The crowd cheered loudly, while those who were standing close to the cage banged their hands against the metal bars. They were more like savages now, only wanting to see more bloodshed and suffering.
Both twins clicked their tongues in irritation and rushed towards Kevin, but he evaded the first twin's punch which was aimed at his face.
He did the same with the second twin, but this time around he caught the second twin along the midsection and threw him to the other side of the cage.
The first twin witnessed his brother getting slammed against the cage and he turned towards Kevin in rage. But a fist landed straight on his nose causing a loud cracking sound to reverberate throughout the arena.
The crowd collectively winced; the sound had been so loud, it drowned out their cheers.
<<Oooh!! That's gotta hurt.>> Even the announcer couldn't help but wince from where he sat.
The nose of the first twin now had blood streaming down. Kevin then grabbed his neck, squeezing it tightly in his fist while lifting him off the ground and walking towards the end of the cage to meet the second twin.
When he was before the second twin who was trying to get up, Kevin slammed his feet into his back, sending the second twin back to the ground and causing him to howl in agony.
Kevin smashed both of his feet as well before kicking his head and slamming it against the cage.
When Kevin confirmed that the second twin was dead, he lifted his gaze and noticed that the first twin had also died and his hands were still around the first twin's throat.
All this happened within seconds as Kevin turned around to find a short awakened running towards him before aiming a double knee drop attack at his chest, causing Kevin's back to hit the cage.
The short man leaped towards him again to repeat the same attack, but Kevin rolled away from the bars, causing the man to aim his knees straight at the cage.
<<Oohhh!!!>>
The short man clutched his knees in pain, but Kevin lifted him from the floor before slamming his head straight into the ground, crushing his skull in the process.
The crowd fell silent for a second and then roared in fascination at what they were seeing.
"Yeahhhh!!"
This was a battle like never before.
<<This battle just keeps getting intense and exciting.>> The announcer's voice emerged once again.
<<The Boogeyman single-handedly took care of both the Gemini twins and the little rookie!!!>>>
<<His battle pattern is so unique and carefully calculated. It was simply brutality at its peak!!!>>
The announcer roared and the crowd followed as well.
But before Kevin could turn around, he felt a kick hit the side of his face.
Kevin fell straight to the ground, but he opened his eyes in time to see his opponent in front of him.
His opponent lifted his leg and was about to smash his skull into tiny pieces but Kevin rolled away just in time to evade the attack, leaving behind a small crater which was formed when his opponent's feet smashed the ground.
Another awakened dashed towards Kevin but he evaded his attack while breaking the arm of his opponent in the process, before taking down every last one of the fighters that came rushing at him.
Now, Kevin was barely able to remain standing, but he continued staring at the last man standing with him in the arena.
All the other names on the screen which were previously glowing with a blue hue, now glowed red because each of them had been killed.
<<Ladies and gentlemen, it seems the battle is about to reach its climax.>>
<<Now, it's the Boogeyman against our very own number-one fighter in the arena. Genus!!!!>>
"Yeearr!!!" The crowd cheered with amazement at how exciting the battle had been till this very moment.
Now, it was anyone's guess who would end up victorious.
Genus stood at the other side of the cage, looking at Kevin with a maniacal look in his eyes, and then he smiled.
Genus delved his hand into his back pocket and brought a small bag of white powder towards his nose.
He inhaled it hungrily before sighing with sheer bliss as his body's metabolism came to a halt.
Then Genus fell to his knees and he couldn't move a muscle.
One might wonder if the man was dead, but there was a slight sign of movement some moments later.
He immediately rose to his feet seconds later and charged head-first at Kevin before sending a blow towards him. But Kevin dodged it on time and sent a fist of his own towards Genus's stomach which was powerful enough to make him take three steps backwards.
