"Good, now speak,"
"T.....the drugs are shipped here from a company in Diamond City,"
" What company?" Kevin asked but the agent shook his head
" I do not know,"
"Boss, he might be lying, how about you....." Wolfgang found it hard to believe the agent.
He knew the agent might be trying to remain loyal to Brian Stark and so he interjected but before he could utter his words completely, the agent hurriedly spoke out.
"I swear to you. I really do not know!!"
"Please!! Please, believe me. It's the truth," He clenched his hands.
He wasn't lying, he really didn't know and he was wise enough to not entertain the thought of lying in a situation like this because he knew Kevin could always do what he did again.
And just the memory of what Kevin did sent a chill down his spine.
He clenched his fist and lowered his head while tightening his eyes, in the hope that he won't see the serpent rising from his trousers.
But Kevin's words snapped him out of his thoughts.
"How are the drugs distributed in the underground?"
The agent raised his head in surprise. He was glad Kevin didn't turn little brother to a snake but he could see how impatient Kevin's eyes were and so replied as fast as he could.
"T...the drugs are hidden in items like flowers and fruits set to be imported into the city in shipping containers. This is easy for us to do because of the informality, corruption and inabilities of authorities to conduct a thorough inspection of shipments in these sea ports,"
He added. " Once it gets to the city, we use ambulances to transport the drugs while taking advantage of the low probability that authorities will detain emergency vehicles until we arrive at our designated spots,"
Silence filled the air as everyone allowed the words of the agent to sink in.
Wolfgang and the other four had their eyes widened in shock because now it all made sense why they've always had a hundred percent success rate in transporting the drugs for years under the nose of the authorities.
Kevin leaned forward and asked the question that had been plaguing his mind for a while.
"When will the next shipment be arriving?"
"Tomorrow, before sunset,"
" What!!" Wolfgang was taken aback. " You'll be transporting the drugs tomorrow? That's impossible, the street will be packed with everyone getting prepared for the festival. There's no way you'll be able to move before the festival even commences,"
Vehicles will find it difficult to drive through the road because of the festival, and this would in turn make it difficult for the drugs to be transported but the agent shook his head.
" We'll use that to our advantage in transporting the biggest shipment of mistletoe across the city,"
He added. "The sirens of the ambulance will aid us in clearing the path because everyone else will assume we are with a patient in severe need of treatment and no one would want to stand in our way,"
The festival also helps Brian Stark's men in drifting the attention of the authorities away from the suspicion that illegal drugs are being imported into the city.
This is why it will serve as the perfect camouflage to import a huge amount of Mistletoe into the city.
Kevin pondered about what his next course of action would be, he slowly turns towards Wolfgang and asked if he knew where they could get their hands on some ammunition.
Wolfgang nodded. "Yes boss, in fact, I could make a call to a friend of mine who could rent us his sub if you want,"
Kevin nodded before standing up from his seat. He called Wolfgang and asked him to follow him as they both walked away from the living room.
"Boss, is something wrong?" Wolfgang inquired worriedly.
It was odd for Kevin to call him out alone to speak to him in private.
"I don't want you to accompany us tomorrow ,"
"Eh? Boss? why? I might not be of much help to you but..."
Kevin cuts him off. " I need you to do something else for me," He delved his hand into his back pocket to remove a photo.
"I need you to search for someone,"
Wolfgang stares at the photo in his hand and he couldn't help but ask in return. "Boss, who is she?"
"Someone I need you to find for me. I need you to carry out a discreet search for the person. Can you do it?"
Wolfgang noticed how serious Kevin's expression was and so deduced the person in the photo must be someone very important to Kevin.
He nodded and said. "I can," before staring at the photo once more. He noticed the lady in the photo was in her late thirties, then a sudden realization dawned on him.
He hurriedly lifted his head and asked. "Boss, is she your...?"
But Kevin cuts him off once again. "You will have to take some of the men you trust and help me in finding this person. Can I count on you?"
"Yes boss. I'll do everything I can in finding her," He assured, acknowledging how important this person in the photo was to Kevin.
"Thank you," Kevin smiled and patted Wolfgang on the shoulder.
Wolfgang was familiar with the underground, unlike Kevin. But since, he'll be a bit preoccupied in trying to take down Brian Stark, Kevin needed someone he could trust in finding his mom, just in case she was hiding here in the underground.
Once they were done, Kevin and Wolfgang returned to the living room where the agent sat.
"We'll be leaving immediately and you (the agent) will be coming with us,"
The agent turned around abruptly as they raised him from the chair and urged him to move forward while his arm was still tied behind his back.
"Wait,no, this wasn't part of what we agreed. Please stop this, I can't be seen walking around with you. If the King noticed I betrayed him, he'll have my head on a stake,"
He pleaded, hoping they would free him and let him go.
After all, they have want they wanted now right?
But no one gave a damn about what the agent was saying.
