Chapter 406 I've Already Made My Mind

She looks more like a perfect loving housewife than a ruthless War General she is, as though she is a new version of herself with a different mindset.

The situation in which General Valeria acts so lovingly and passionately for Yuan is bitter medicine to swallow, and she cannot take it lightly.

Not only her, but Crown Prince Daniel looked at his aunt with apparent amazement. Look at his expression, seeing her act so lovingly and passionately towards a young man who is not quite half her age.

'She is already in her early seventies, and yet she is acting so loving and passionate towards a young man, whom she can consider her grandchild...' Daniel was bewildered, almost unable to trust his eyes.

'What kind of magic potion did Yuan offer my aunt to make her so subservient to him?' Daniel was puzzled since this was too unexpected for him, and he couldn't understand calling a younger man his uncle.

That would be too unusual for him, and thinking about it gave him a headache.

Meanwhile, Yuan gazed at General Valeria with an awkward expression on his face, as everything seemed too abrupt for him.

He let out a heavy sigh and replied, "How about we go back to our carriage and then talk? After the duel with you, I am pretty hungry."

"Yes, I don't mind, my dear." General Valeria smiled sweetly as she spoke. "I'm also hungry, as I haven't eaten breakfast yet; let's get something to eat together."

"That would be great. Let's go." Yuan smiled and nodded, noting that, while he was astonished by her candid revelation, he was not opposed to it.

The only thing that made him apprehensive was his lack of knowledge, and the same could be said for General Valeria. Furthermore, the two have not yet fallen in love.

At this point, Anna and the others came to congratulate Yuan on his victory in the battle.

Yuan grinned proudly at his girls and shared a love kiss with them in front of hundreds of eyes.

When Yuan kisses the girls' on the lips, everyone in the area becomes enraged and refuses to hide their jealousy of him.

Soon, shocking murmurs from the jealous audience spread like wildfire across the crowd, creating a highly charged and anticipatory atmosphere.

"What did I just watch?!"

"I can't believe he kissed them all on the lips in front of everyone!"

"Is he provoking us by doing this?"

"Idiots! He is telling us that they are his, and if we attempt to pursue them, nothing will remain of us!"

"So this is a warning, huh? He's definitely something else; no one has ever given a warning in such a 'unique' manner."

Meanwhile, Yuan ignored their whispers and focused his attention on his mother Anna. "Mom, did you cook breakfast for us? I'm starving after the fight with Miss Valeria."

"We merely followed you guys to wash our faces; who thought you'd be having a duel here? So, I haven't made breakfast yet." Anna responded.

"What?! But I'm terribly hungry..." Yuan nearly couldn't believe his mother hadn't made breakfast for him yet.

After noticing Yuan's sad expression, Anna and the others hastily washed their faces in the river and returned to the carriage to make their supper.

Yuan and Valeria closely followed them before returning to the carriage and waiting for his mother to complete cooking.

As they waited for the food to be cooked, Crown Prince Daniel, King Richard, and Prince Tristan arrived at their campground.

King Richard couldn't help but feel happy when he looked at Yuan; Yuan was born and raised in his country, thus his entire realm was proud of Yuan's accomplishment.

Since thousands of Hunters watched Yuan's victory over the undefeatable Ruthless Lioness of the Lionheart Empire, not just Yuan but the kingdom as a whole earned glory, boosting their influence throughout the empire.

And, in addition, the kingdom would benefit greatly from the empire in comparison to the other kingdoms under the empire, thereby improving the general population's standard of living.

"Yuan, congratulations on winning the duel against War General Valeria; I can't put into words how fantastic I'm feeling right now," King Richard stated, his tone full of affection and respect for Yuan. "My heart is overflowing with gratitude to you."

"Thank you for your compliment, Your Majesty, but it wasn't particularly impressive," Yuan replied with a little smile on his lips, as he didn't even battle Miss Valeria with all of his strength.

"Haha! I never expected you to be so humble at times, but I enjoy your personality. Very different from the pompous nobles of this world." King Richard laughed, shocked by Yuan's sudden humility because he had never spoken so humbly before.

'I am not humble, but I am telling the truth. I did not use my whole power to vanquish Miss Valeria.' Yuan thought and sighed.

"What are you doing, Little Brat, with King Richard? As the Crown Prince of the Lionheart Empire, don't you have more vital responsibilities?"

Suddenly, General Valeria's icy, heartless voice echoed from behind, pulling everyone's attention to her.

"Aunt, What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be at your tent now? Doing breakfast?" Crown Prince Daniel rapidly queried in a shaky voice, his tone tinged with fear and concern as sweat formed on his forehead.

"It doesn't matter where I stay," General Valeria said sternly. "Oh! I forgot to tell you that I've decided to marry Yuan after he defeated me fairly and squarely in a duel."

Both King Richard and Crown Prince Daniel blinked many times and stared blankly at General Valeria, unable to believe what they had just heard.

"You decided what?!" Crown Prince Daniel nearly shouted from shock, staring at his aunt with a wide-open mouth that could practically fit an apple within.

This revelation perplexed not only the Crown Prince but also King Richard, who could not believe it.

'My ears must be ringing now that I've become quite elderly. How could War General Valeria ever think of marrying someone so young? It is impossible!' King Richard pondered since he was hesitant to believe this.

"General Valeria...You must be joking, right?" King Richard inquired, his tone as serious as General Valeria's statements, which held more weight than she realized.

General Valeria furrowed her brow, slightly offended by King Richard's skeptical tone. "King Richard, I am extremely serious about this. You should remember my vow, don't you?"

"I…remember that vow, War General Valeria," King Richard let out a heavy sigh, recalling General Valeria's vow to challenge the continent's strongest warriors.

"General Valeria, please forgive me for my bravery, but don't you think Yuan is too young to marry you?" King Richard was perplexed about this. "Moreover, he already has several companions by his side, whom he values greatly."

"I understand your fears," General Valeria remarked. "However, I've made up my mind and will not change it; I'll be Yuan's wife from now on."

Anna quickly finished her cooking and gave breakfast to everyone, including General Valeria, as King Richard and Crown Prince Richard exited the scene in awkward silence.

'I wonder how the royal father will respond to this news when he hears it; he will be astonished,' Crown Prince Daniel pondered.

'I hope he doesn't have a heart attack after hearing this news.' He sighed as he walked to their tent.

Before they knew it, King Richard had arrived in front of their tent.

After a few minutes, everyone finished their breakfast, disassembled their tents, and put them in their magic bags before preparing their carriages for the remainder of the voyage.

When everything was done, Yuan and his girls, as well as Mireya, Sylvia, and Miss Valeria, boarded their carriage, and Lily began driving without delay.

At the time, everyone was aware that Yuan had fought General Valeria in a duel, and it was a simple triumph for Yuan, who did not even break a sweat in overcoming the War General Valeria Lionheart, also known as The Ruthless Lioness.

Most of them are startled to learn that someone of her caliber was vanquished by a handsome young guy like Yuan, the head of the rumored Hunter Party the Celestial Blades.

Meanwhile, inside the carriage, General Valeria rose from her seat and approached Yuan with a seductive smile before sitting on his lap, startling everyone in the carriage.

She smirked as she saw everyone's astonished looks. "A decent wife should constantly sit beside her husband, isn't that correct, my dear?" She said.

Grace furrowed her eyebrows and questioned, in a neutral tone, "Do you really wish to be my darling's wife, Miss Valeria? After all, you must have guessed my relationship with Yuan, right?"

"I completely understand, Mother-in-law Grace." She gave a smile and shifted her glance to Anna. "As well as my mother-in-

law Anna."

'Unbelievable! This woman acts quickly.' Anna was amazed at how quickly Valeria accepted their weird friendship with Yuan.

Meanwhile, Mireya was staring at General Valeria with an envious expression on her face, as if she was ready to skin Valeria alive at any moment.

And witnessing this, Sylvia couldn't help but sigh inwardly: 'If Madam Mireya keeps her sentiments to herself, she will certainly lose her chance to profess her feelings for him, and someone else will take her place.'
