Chapter 401 Don't Be Ridiculous

After continuously traveling for more than six hours straight, all the carriages came to a stop, and then a soldier announced that they'd take a lunch break for a short while and let the horses rest for a while

"We've already traveled for so long, and I didn't even realize it; this carriage is just great!" Sylvia mumbled with a shocked expression on her face, her tone tinged with suspense and amazement.

"We're quite proud of our carriage; after all, it's the most comfortable and safe carriage compared to the others." Lily leaped down from the coachman's seat, a huge grin on her face and a sense of pride in her tone. "Perhaps this is the only carriage in the world."

General Valeria emerged from the carriage with a refreshed expression on her face; her gaze then fell on Yuan, and her lips twisted into a curious grin. "After riding your carriage, I don't think I'll be able to ride another carriage."

"How about I join you guys in your carriage? Don't you think it's a brilliant idea? In the meantime, how about we get to know each other better?" She queried, her delight and anticipation palpable in her gaze.

'Miss Valeria seemed to have taken a fancy to our carriage, which is quite amusing! I'd like to get to know her too; after all, she's a strong and powerful woman.' Yuan gave her a sweet grin and pondered. And he had a feeling he'd get along well with this female Knight, and perhaps even become friends with her. How could he refuse to be friends with such a beautiful woman?

Although the guys of this world think her physique is ugly and unladylike. However, this was not the case for Yuan, as many ladies on Earth have such bodies, and many would wish to have such bodies.

General Valeria's figure was slightly muscular, but not extremely muscular; she was muscular in a good and attractive way, which drew Yuan's attention.

Although he hadn't seen her without her armor, he had a strong hunch her figure would be stunning, and the scar on her face was like a trophy, adding to her distinct appeal.

"Since you loved it so much, come travel with us," Yuan said a while later, smiling.

"Okay, that's enough talking!" Anna suddenly spoke. With a slightly jealous tone. "Emma, Rose, Julie, and Leah, come assist me and serve lunch to everyone."

"Okay!" All four of them nodded together and followed her to lend a helping hand.

Anna came to a halt and turned to face General Valeria. "Miss Valeria, won't you join us?"

"Nah," General Valeria shakes her head. "I have my own food. So, there's no need to be concerned about me; just enjoy your lunch. However, thanks for your concern."

"I see…In that case, please excuse us." Rose responded in a pleasant tone before walking away with Anna and the other girls.

While the other girls remained with Yuan, Grace approached him gracefully and gently laid her buttocks on his lap, wrapped her left hand around his neck, and gave him a cold seductive smile.

Yuan smiled at her and kissed her sensual, savory lips, unconcerned about the circumstances. Despite her amazement at the unexpected kiss, Grace did not stop him from kissing her; instead, she allowed him to do whatever he wanted with her body.

Mireya felt jealous when she saw Yuan and his mother Grace's small intimate relationship, and she couldn't control her feelings, which were obviously visible on her face to the others.

Everyone quickly ate their lunch from the lunchbox provided by Miss Zara. And the food was plenty enough to satisfy everyone's appetite.

General Valeria soon came to their side after filling her belly, with an enthusiastic expression on her face as she prepared to ride with them.

After speaking for a while, it was time to resume the voyage. Everyone boarded their assigned vehicle, and the carriage began to move forward shortly.

Valeria was eager to learn more about Yuan and his wives, who had just gained fame throughout the empire for their incredible and startling exploits.

The most astonishing thing for her was that Yuan and his wives were able to slaughter thousands of corrupted monsters with insane stamina and were nearly unkillable by conventional means.

Nonetheless, Yuan and his girls were able to kill thousands of them while saving hundreds of lives without breaking a sweat, which astonished her to the core.

She wanted to meet with them directly and exchange pointers.

Yuan and his girls saw General Valeria's excitement to learn more about them and shared a few facts with her, to which General Valeria listened attentively without missing a word.

After Yuan completed sharing some of their stories, the General stared at Yuan and his girls with admiration in her eyes.

"Amazing! I cannot believe you had such an incredible experience with terrible beasts. Honestly, I'm envious of you guys." She exclaimed, her tone tinged with jealousy and disappointment.

"Haha, don't be sad. I am convinced that you will encounter numerous powerful beasts inside the Forest Of Never Return." Yuan smiled as he said, which caused her to smile softly at him.

"You are correct about it," General Valeria smiled slightly and added, "The Forest Of Never Return is home to thousands of formidable monsters, the majority of which are above A-rank creatures."

She smirked at Yuan and asked, "How about I follow you guys into the forest? We can combat the beasts together. Wouldn't you say it's an excellent idea?"

Yuan considered for a bit before responding, "Of course you can. I do not mind if you tag along with us."

General Valeria spent the next few hours telling them stories of how she fought and defeated numerous powerful monsters on her own, without the assistance of anyone else.

She also told them that she nearly died several times while fighting large S-rank monsters and was attacked by powerful creatures while training in the heart of the forest.

Despite the odds, she managed to survive each time, as if a strange force protected her and refused to let her die as if she wasn't meant to die that way.

"Miss Valeria, could you please explain to us when you got the award on your face? I'm curious to discover what kind of monster managed to leave a mark." Yuan inquired with a slight smile on his face and curiosity in his eyes.

"Oh! This…It was the Stone Gorilla's handy work. I met them while training on a mountain." She responded swiftly, stroking the scar on her face with a nostalgic emotion.

She recalls the moment when the leader of the Stone Gorillas launched such a fierce attack that she was unable to react, and as a result, she received that big scar on her face, which terrified many men the instant they laid eyes on it.

"That damn monkey was so strong that I almost died; nevertheless, in the end, I managed to strike my sword directly into his heart, killing him instantaneously before he could crush my head." She said with a little smile on her face and eagerness in her tone.

"I see… It must have been an incredible battle between you and that Stone Gorilla." Yuan mumbled a moment later, his tone indicating enthusiasm and anticipation.

When his girls heard this, they rolled their eyes, except Mireya and Sylvia, who tilted their heads in puzzlement.

'What's going on with them?' Mireya and Sylvia exchanged perplexed looks.

General Valeria gazed at Yuan briefly before opening her mouth to speak. "Don't you think my scar is quite ugly?"

"Nah," Yuan said, shaking his head. "I do not think that way. In my opinion, that scar compliments you beautifully and gives you a strong personality. It also gives you a unique appeal, I suppose."

'What the hell with this kid?! Is there a problem with his head? How could I look beautiful with such a huge scar?' General Valeria glanced at Yuan in disbelief; she couldn't believe that this young man, who wasn't even half her age, was complimenting her.

She glanced at Yuan for a moment, trying to figure out whether he was telling her the truth or a falsehood. However, all she could see was the truth in his eyes.

'Impossible! Is he speaking the truth? But how could this occur? Everyone is terrified of my personality and tries to get as far away from me as possible. Yet, this young man...' She couldn't think clearly anymore since she was so confused about Yuan's perception of her.

She soon regained her composure and responded, "Don't be ridiculous. I understand myself better than you do."

Sometime later, all of the carriages come to a standstill, accompanied by a booming voice.

"Everyone! It will become dark shortly. And we can't proceed forward at night, so we'll spend the night here."

"Everyone, get out of your carriages and prepare the tents. And help us prepare supper for everyone."

When they heard the announcement, everyone got out of their carriages; some looked after the horses, while others went in search of dry firewood.

Some people volunteered to make dinner for everyone, and because there were thousands of people, they had to prepare large amounts of food, which could not be done with a small group.

Meanwhile, Yuan and his girls exit the carriage and decide to prepare their own meals. Anna promptly retrieved her utensils from her spatial ring, as well as her culinary supplies.
