Chapter 365 The Queen's Idea

Lord Ivan has a very serious and troubled look on his face as he arrives at the king's palace, he is sweating a lot from the tension he was in.

After approaching the guards guarding the door, he asked, "Where is His Highness the King and Her Highness the Queen?"

"His Majesty is currently having an afternoon tea with Her Highness the Queen." The guard quickly replied, seeing the urgent look on Lord Ivan's face.

The other guard nodded, confirming his colleague's words.

"I see… Open the door for me to pass, I have a very important matter to discuss with The King as well as The Queen."

"Right away, My Lord." The guard nodded and opened the huge metal door for Lord Ivan to enter inside.

Lord Ivan entered inside hurriedly, and the guards closed the door and resumed their positions.

A few minutes later, Lord Ivan arrived at the palace's garden which had a very floral air as there were numerous kinds of rare and beautiful flowers from many different places.

Which made the air around the garden very refreshing and floral, which calmed the mind, getting rid of tension and uneasiness.

In the distance, King Richard Windfall and Queen Matilda Windfall were enjoying the beautiful scenery of the royal garden while they were having tea as the couple spent their afternoon.

"Dear, Look at those beautiful Moonlight Roses, it seems that they'll finally bloom tonight as soon as the Moonlight lands on those flowers…" Queen Matilda pointed her finger toward the flowerbed which was filled with many Moonlight Rose plants.

"Indeed." King Richard nodded with a gentle smile on his face and looking at the flowerbed, he said, Moonlight Roses only bloom when the light of a full moon falls on them. And what a coincidence, the full moon will appear today."

"In that case, You have to accompany me to watch them bloom at night, Dear."

"Why not? Of course, I'd accompany you to watch these flowers bloom at night as soon as the full moon comes out." King Richard replied with a small smile on his face, seeing the excitement in his wife's face.

Queen Matilda gently smiled at her husband and took a long sip from her cup.

At this point, Lord Ivan arrived before them with an urgent look on his face, and said, "Please pardon my rudeness for ruining your private moment, Your Majesty. However, I come here for a very urgent matter which needs your immediate attention."

"Oh, Lord Ivan, you look so troubled for some reason…" King Richard raised his eyebrows seeing the troubled expression on Lord Ivan's face, and asked, "So pray tell, what kind of serious matters that need my immediate attention, Lord Ivan?"

Lord Ivan nodded and said, "Well, You see Your Majesty, just a while ago, some of our people spotted five suspicious-looking people wearing a strange black robe, roaming the streets of the common realm."

"And our people dug up some intel about them and it appears that they're up to no good, it turned out that they're criminals with a very high bounty on their heads, who've disappeared for a few years."

"And as we speak, I have already dispatched a team of five fine spies to keep track of them and tell us about their every move within the capital." Lord Ivan said with a very serious look on his face.

"A very suspicious group of criminals, I see…" King Richard muttered and pondered for a moment, as this is indeed a very serious matter concerning the well-being of the capital.

In this world the higher the bounty a criminal has, the more dangerous they are, and confronting them without a proper plan and not knowing what they're after could be very fatal for the kingdom and its people.

The Queen who was silent until now suddenly opened her mouth. "Does Lord Ivan do have any idea on what their motive is to come here?"

"I'm afraid not, I do not know what they're after… we only know that they don't have a good reason to come here." Lord Ivan sighed and shook his head.

"I see… Well, it's not your fault that you don't know what they're after in this city." Queen Matilda gently smiled.

"Thank you for understanding, Your Highness…" Lord Ivan slightly bowed in respect and his face suddenly turned serious, and said. "However, I have another piece of news to share…"

"Oh, What could that be?" Both The King and Queen raised their eyebrows, as they had a bad premonition of this.

Lord Ivan let out a strange smile on his face, and said, "Well, not only the suspicious group of criminals we've spotted in our city, but we've also spotted 'them'…"

Hearing this, both the king and the queen stared at Lord Ivan with a puzzled look on their faces, as they had no idea what Lord Ivan was referring to.

"What do you mean by 'them' Lord Ivan? Because I feel confused." King Richard asked.

"I'm also very confused." Queen Matilda said, feeling confused.

"By 'them' I'm referring to Yuan and his wives, Your Majesty." Lord Ivan sighed.

"Yuan and his wives are here? This is quite unexpected, I'm surprised!" The King exclaimed with a seeming shock and his expression turned ugly, as though he had swallowed a stinky bug by accident.

Not only his, but also his wife, Queen Matilda's expression also turned grim after hearing this. However, she was also very curious about how they actually looked. Are they really as beautiful as the rumors say? Or perhaps it was all made up by people?

Just like everyone else in the kingdom, Queen Matilda also heard rumors about the unparalleled beauty of Yuan's wives as well as how handsome Yuan himself was. And just like everyone else, she was also curious if all those rumors were real or if they were just a bunch of fabrication.

"So they're currently roaming about our city, huh?" The King muttered in an anxious tone as he heard the news of Yuan beating the shit out of the Monbrook city's city lord, Count George Monbrook.

Queen Matilda saw the pondering expression on her husband's face and with a smile, she asked, "Dear, what are you pondering so deeply about?"

"Oh, I was just thinking about how should we deal with Yuan and his wives," The King immediately came out of his daze after hearing his wife's voice, and said, "After all they've committed a crime by beating a nobleman in public…not only one but multiple at that."

"I don't blame them for beating those scumbags. After all, it was they who prompted him to take such action." Queen Matilda scoffed and said, "Who told them to go after other people's wives? Don't they have any morality or self-esteem?"

"In my opinion, they're the ones that should get punished for their actions, not the other way around." Queen Matilda stated, supporting Yuan and his wives' actions against those rotten nobles.

Hearing his wife's words, King Richard sighed. "My Love, You don't understand anything about how complicated things are right now…"

"I agree with His Majesty, Your Highness." Lord Ivan spoke to the Queen in the king's favor. "Currently, many other noblemen are very furious at Yuan and his behavior and they're demanding His Majesty take action against him personally."

Suddenly, Lord Ivan's expression turned extremely grim, and said, "However, they are not aware of how incredibly powerful Yuan and his wives are…I'm even guessing that they're not humans at all…well, some of them are actually not."

"After all, they possess strength beyond what we humans can imagine, not to mention their mysterious prowess and technique which is very lethal… and we have no means to defend ourselves." Lord Ivan said with a very serious look on his face, remembering the moment he met Yuan and his wives for the first time.

A few moments later, the Queen suggested. "Dear, how about we invite them for a meal with us? Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a healthy conversation with them and befriend them instead of making enemies out of them?"

"Do you think they will come here for a meal with us?" The king asked his wife, raising his eyebrows.

"Why not? As long as we invite them politely without any ulterior motive, they'll definitely accept our invitation and will join us for a meal." Queen replied with a big smile on her face, with anticipation of meeting the infamous group of hunters 'The Celestial Blades'.

After hearing his wife's words, The King felt defeated and sighed.

"Since you insist My Love, we'll invite them for a meal with us." He said with a defeated look on his face.

Then he turned to see Lord Ivan, and asked, "What do you think, Advisor Ivan? Will my wife's idea work?"

"Without a doubt, Your Majesty. If we invite them appropriately, they'll definitely come." Lord Ivan nodded with a small smile on his face.

King Richard let out a long sigh of relief after hearing this, and he felt as though a very heavy burden had been lifted from his shoulders.

The King then said, "In that case, I'll leave the responsibility to invite them for a meal tomorrow to you, Advisor Ivan."

"Leave everything to me, Your Majesty."

And shortly after, Lord Ivan left the royal garden leaving The King and The Queen some private time.

Once Lord Ivan left the royal garden, the king summoned the servants and told them to inform everyone in the palace that tomorrow there would be some special guests coming to the palace for a meal.

He also told the servants to warn his concubines and sons and daughters not to play any tricks on the guests, or they would face severe punishment.

When the concubines, the Princes, and the Princesses got this news, their expressions immediately turned extremely shocked! They'd never seen King Richard so serious in their lives, this was the first time they saw him so serious.

Just who are these guests that King Richard warns them against them? What is so special about the guests that the king has taken such a measure? Everyone has the same thoughts going on in their minds.

The following morning, Lord Ivan got into the carriage after having his breakfast with his family and headed toward the common realm with only a few guards guarding him.

Sometime later, he arrived at the common realm, and the people were surprised to see the carriage of the King's personal advisor's carriage coming to the common realm.

Because this kind of thing doesn't happen so frequently, and it only happens when the matter is quite serious.
