Chapter 334 Finally We've Arrived
"Finally, after traveling for more than two months, we're about to arrive at the capital city of the kingdom," Lily spoke in a lovely voice as she drove the carriage full speed towards the city.
"Have we arrived in the city?" Emma looked out the window after hearing Lily's joyful voice.
However, she noticed that they hadn't yet arrived in the city, and just the tall castle walls were visible. But it won't take them long to reach the city; with their current speed, they'll probably be there in two to three hours.
"I thought we'd arrived at the city, but we're still far from reaching it." Emma sighed and sat back in her seat beside Yuan.
"Hehe, we are almost there. We'll be there in two to three hours, so consider it as if we've already arrived."
"You can be odd at times, Lily. Sometimes I can't tell if it's you.
"I know...haha!"
Lily giggled and glanced forward as she maintained control of the carriage, ensuring that the horses did not deviate from the path.
Xi Meili's eyes were gleaming with excitement as she imagined all of the meals she would be able to sample once they arrived in the city.
There was drool in her mouth just thinking about all of the foods she would get to try once they arrived.
Rose, witnessing the drool on Xi Meili's face, burst out laughing and said, "Haha, it seems that sister Meili can't wait to try all those new cuisines we will see once we arrive in the capital."
"Xi Meili is a glutton, after all. How could she not think of food?" Anna Grace smiled playfully as she gazed at Xi Meili. "Isn't that right, Xi Meili?"
"Food... Delicious food, I can't wait to try them all." Xi Meili spoke with bright eyes, thinking about all of the new delicacies she'd be able to sample.
"I guess, nothing could excite her more than food." Yuan groaned and laughed dryly at the drooling expression on Xi Meili's face.
"I couldn't agree more. She just loves trying new foods, and it's very cute." Anna Grace nodded and smiled at Xi Meili.
Yuan smiled at Xi Meili. "Once we arrive at the capital, we will try all kinds of food we could find, okay?" Yuan spoke to her and kissed her on the cheek.
"Really?!" Xi Meili exclaimed, gazing at him with bright eyes.
"That's correct. But only after some rest."
"That would be wonderful hubby. I am really looking forward to that." Xi Meili replied with a huge, joyful smile on her face.
'Look at that bright smile on her face... She seems really content.' Anna Grace smiled gently as she saw Xi Meili's bright smile.
They traveled for hours and can now see the massive walls around the kingdom's main city, which protects it from foes and monsters.
Although it was still far away, they could see a big queue of carriages waiting to enter the city, as well as a long queue of people.
Everyone is waiting in queue to get their turn to enter the city; after all, it is the capital, so it will be busier than the other cities in the kingdom.
Yuan and his wives were able to see everything well thanks to their cultivation, except for Leah, who can only see the city wall and her vision is fuzzy due to her not being a cultivator.
Later, they arrived near the city gate and joined the queue to enter the city, where guards checked everyone before permitting them to enter the city after collecting the entry fee.
Damn it! What a bummer...the queue ahead is really long, and it will take hours for us to enter the city." Lily became agitated as she looked ahead at the lengthy queue of people waiting to enter the city.
Anna Grace gazed out the window at the long queue of carriages ahead and groaned, "It can't be helped, since a lot of hunters are coming here to participate in the special expedition mission organized by the royal family."
"The expedition mission, I see?" Rose then looked at Yuan and inquired, "Husband, are you also considering joining it? Since the King is organizing this gathering, there must be something important going on inside 'The Forest Of Never Return'."
However, Yuan didn't reply and stayed silent seemingly in deep thought, and she continued, "Although it has nothing to do with us, participating in this mission will be extremely beneficial to us because we will be able to train ourselves using the strong monsters within the forest."
Emma's eyes sparkled after hearing this, and added. "You're right, Rose. The monsters inside 'The Forest Of Never Return' can be a stepping stone for us to reach a greater height in strength, they will be perfect for our training to increase our strength further."
"I have the same thought too," Lily added. "I want to slaughter those monsters and gain as much experience as possible."
Hearing Lily's response, Julie and Ava rolled their eyes, and they exchanged a quick look at each other and looked at Yuan.
"We also think it's a good idea for us to join the expedition, it will be a really good opportunity for us to get stronger and get as much battle experience as possible." Julie expressed a genuine desire to get stronger so that she could stand by his side and help him as his wife.
"I also share the same thought as Julie," Ava said with a calm voice.

"Halt!" The guards stopped the carriage by closing the gate, and then one of them approached them.
"Show us your identifications and the entry fee for each person is 50 silver coins."
"Here's our identification, and here's the entry fee for all of us." Yuan presented their identifications to the guard and handed him four gold and fifty silver coins after retrieving them from his system storage.
The guard looked over their identifications for a while before saying, "Everything appears to be in order; you may proceed."
"Open the gate!" Then the guard shouted, and the gate began to open, allowing them to enter the city.
Yuan then received their identifications from the guard, and Lily swiftly drove the carriage forward and into the city.
Emma, the Monroe sisters, Leah, and Xi Meili glanced at the bustling street with surprise on their faces; the entire street was packed with people of all kinds.
The buildings and streets were incredibly clean; compared to the other cities in the kingdom, even Monbrook City couldn't hold a candle to its cleanliness.
Even though it is the common realm of the city where the commoners live, it is relatively clean in comparison to Monbrook's streets.
"This city is amazing!" Emma exclaimed, her face filled with excitement as she looked out at the lively city life in front of her.
"Haha, this is nothing compared to the capital city of the empire." Anna Grace chuckled and added, "Compared to that city, this one will appear to you like a backwater city. The difference is too enormous to compare."
"Is that so? I am definitely looking forward to seeing it for myself." Emma replied with a smile.
Because this city was significantly larger and more beautiful than the rest of the empire's cities, she imagined what one of the empire's capitals might be like.
"Don't worry, we will definitely go there in the future." Yuan smiled at Emma before turning to Lily and asking, "Lily, do you know of any good inns around here?"
"I know a few of them since I've stayed here before." Lily instantly responded.
"In that case, let's go to an Inn and book our rooms as soon as possible before all the nice rooms are booked."
"Understood." Lily nodded and drove the carriage to a well-
known Inn in the city she knew.
When she was still a student at the Magic Academy, she came to the capital to complete a couple of tasks assigned by the academy and stayed at the same Inn numerous times.
While Yuan and his ladies went to an inn to book accommodations for their stay.
Somewhere else, a woman was sitting behind a very luxurious desk.
The woman was dressed in a stunning red dress that hugged her attractive body firmly, revealing every inch of her exquisite form.
Suddenly, a lovely woman in her twenties ran into the room, a serious expression on her face.
"Madam, the group of people you wanted us to look out for has just entered the city a moment ago."
"I see, so they have arrived...you can leave now." The woman in the red dress discussed calmly with no emotion in her voice.
"Understood, Madam..." The woman nodded and quickly exited the space with a small bow.
When the woman exited the room, a wide and charming smile appeared on her face, which might cause any man to lose control.
"Yuan, you guys have finally arrived."
"A little late, though."
