Chapter 294 Did He Fancy her?

"As expected of the famous Golden Delicacy. The food here is the best of the best with exquisite and unique taste..." Count George mumbled in a low voice with a surprised look on his face, after tasting the dishes prepared by the restaurant he couldn't help but express his thoughts from the bottom of his heart.

"I couldn't agree more, father." Henrik nodded his head repeatedly and said. "It's no wonder that this restaurant has earned quite a lot of fame due to their exquisite dishes which never disappointed the customers, including us."

"Absolutely!" Count George then looked at his son with a serious look on his face. "We should build a good relationship with the owner of this restaurant and keep troublemakers out of this restaurant because we're also benefiting from this restaurant."

"That's very true, father."

Golden Delicacy has become quite famous throughout the entire Windfall kingdom and caught the attention of many noble families who have the hobby of trying different kinds of cuisine and lavish food.

Hence the Monbrook city has become a lot more famous than before, not only within the Windfall kingdom but even in some neighboring kingdoms.

If someone ignorant causes trouble for the restaurant owner, then the owner will have no choice but to relocate his restaurant to some other city. This will have a significant impact on Monbrook City's economy, and as the Lord of this City Count George can't let that happen.

Bang!

While the father and son were enjoying their meal, the door to the private room abruptly opened with a loud noise before a guard with an urgent expression entered the room.

"Who dares?! Do you have no manners?! Don't you see we're having a meal right now?!" Count George shouted at the guard who came into the room.

However, the guard ignored his anger and quickly said, "Please excuse sudden entrance, Lord Monbrook! This is an urgent matter! The person who you've told us to look out for has returned a moment ago and is currently inside the Dandelion Inn."

"What?" Count George immediately stood up from his seat with a surprised look on his face, "That bastard has returned?! This is excellent. We've been waiting to confront him since yesterday morning, and now he's returned."

"Whatever! Since he has returned to the Inn, he won't go anywhere. First, let's finish this excellent meal, then we'll go deal with that so-called husband of the unparalleled beauties."

"I agree, father. After all, punishing that bastard in front of his wives will need a lot of energy. Hahah!" Henrik agreed with his father and laughed.

'Just you wait, Yuan. I'll make sure to return what you gave me ten times! With my father here, there is no way for you to escape...just wait!' Henrik muttered inwardly with a cold smile on his face and clenched his fist tightly.

That is correct, my son. Eat up, you'll need a lot of energy to beat that scum in front of his lovely wives." Count George smiled at his son's determination, handed him a huge piece of grilled meat, and continued, "We have to make sure that he suffers a hundred times more than what you've suffered. No one gets away with hitting a member of the Monbrook family, let alone an important figure."

"That's right, father. We'll make sure that he suffers a fate worse than death itself." Henrik nodded with a wide grin on his face and began stuffing his face with food.

'It seems that young man will suffer greatly. what a pity despite having so many beautiful wives, he will end up dead in no time.' The guard thought to himself.

"You go wait outside the restaurant. We'll be there once we finish our meal." Count George said to the guard.

"As you wish, my lord." The guard slightly lowered his head before leaving the private room.

"Oh, Esteemed guests, you've finally returned from your work. I was worried about you all that something unexpected happened to you during your work, it seems that my worries were unnecessary." As soon as the Innkeeper noticed Yuan and his wives' arrival, she immediately came out of her kitchen and greeted them with a sweet smile on her face.

"Well, because of a certain mission we had to stay out of the city, hence we didn't return here yesterday," Yuan said to the Innkeeper with a smile.

"Is that so?" Then the Innkeeper's eyes suddenly landed on Leah who was standing behind Yuan, with a playful smile on her face she asked, "By the way, who's that beautiful lady behind you, Yuan? I haven't seen her before."

"Oh, her? She is one of the captives we've rescued from the goblins, thankfully we arrived there in time and were able to save her before the goblins could do something to her."

'Miss Innkeeper, I know that you're a very kind woman but I can't tell you the truth about Leah...' Yuan said in his heart with a bittersweet smile.

"Is that so? Thank God that you got there in time?and were able to save them, if not I don't want to imagine what could've happened to them." Seeing the healthy appearance of Leah without any wounds or scars on her body, the Innkeeper immediately believed in Yuan's words.

After that, the Innkeeper looked at Yuan with a frown and thought, 'But that still doesn't explain why he is bringing her here while sending the other women to their family, did he fancy her or something?'

'That's indeed a possibility, as there is no way he would bring her along with him for no reason.' After thinking for a moment, the Innkeeper concludes that Yuan took a liking to this 'Leah' girl he saved from goblins.

"By the way, Count Monbrook came here yesterday evening looking for you, and he looked very furious." The Innkeeper informed Yuan with a serious look on her face, she knew that Yuan did nothing wrong by beating the Count's son and wanted to save him from the Count's rage.

"I know about this." Yuan calmly replied as though he didn't care about the impending threat to his life.

The Innkeeper is dumbfounded by Yuan's response and wonders why he looks so calm despite knowing that the Count and his son Henrik are after his life.

A moment later, he continued, "And he even placed his people in the vicinity of this establishment just to keep an eye on me...heh, how can he remain calm after knowing that his son was beaten and rendered cripple by a nobody? It hurts his pride as a Count and the lord of this city."

"He stationed his men outside my establishment? Why am I not surprised at this?" The Innkeeper sighed.

"But aren't you worried about it?" The Innkeeper looked at Yuan with a concerned look, and said, "Lord Monbrook is a powerful figure within the entire Kingdom, he is a peak sixth-circle lightning mage after all. A single spell from him can erase a small city without leaving behind any trace that a city there ever existed before."

"Yuan, believe me, Lord Monbrook is a terrifying person with a lot of cunning tricks within his sleeves. I know you're strong but fighting against him won't be easy, it is said that Lord Monbrook is the only person within the entire Kingdom who possesses the most rare-grade spells."

"And rumor has it that he even has a few forbidden magic spells at his disposal each with a unique effect, you may not know this but forbidden magic spells are the most difficult to obtain as the destructive power of such spells is off the roof."

"I'm afraid that if he can't fight you with his other spells he will have no choice but to use the forbidden spells at his disposal." The Innkeeper said this with a worried look on her face, genuinely concerned about Yuan and his wives.

"Haha, you've greatly underestimated our strength, Miss Innkeeper." Yuan chuckled after seeing the worried look on the Innkeeper's face, and said, "Even if he were to use his forbidden spells or whatever, it wouldn't be a threat to us. Because the difference between us and him is heaven and earth, he is merely just a lowly mortal. What could possibly he do to us?"

'Where did his confidence come from?' The Innkeeper looked at Yuan with a dumbfounded look and wondered.

"You don't need to worry about us, Miss Innkeeper. Just let us deal with the Count and his idiotic son, Henrik." Yuan said this to her a moment later.

'He is behaving as if he can deal with the Count very easily... I hope he wins against the Count, I don't want such a young man to die...' The Innkeeper sighed.

After that, Yuan and his wives left the place and headed toward their rooms.

And once they arrived at their rooms, Yuan turned to see Rose, "Rose, please stay in my room today and let Leah stay in Lily and your sisters' room."

"Lily, take Leah to your room," Yuan said to his big sister.

"Alright. Come, you'll be sharing a room with us." Lily then quickly pulled Leah with her to her room, and Julie and Ava followed them.

After that, Yuan, Anna Grace, Xi Meili, Emma, and Rose entered the opposite room.

Sometimes later, as the Innkeeper was sitting behind her desk, a few people suddenly entered the lobby with a furious look on their faces.

"Where is that scum who dared to beat my son? Take him out!"
