Chapter 255 Kobolds' hideout
"Look, we're almost there. That's the mountain pass," Lily pointed her finger into the distance. "The Kobold camp must be located somewhere near a cave. They're cold-blooded creatures and like to stay in darker and colder areas."
"Exactly, just like snakes or lizards, they dwell within caves and only come out at night when the atmosphere is colder," added Anna Grace.
"Let's first reach the vicinity of the mountain pass. Then we'll look for any footprints that will allow us to locate their camp easily," Yuan said. He was certain the kobolds had attacked many passing merchants or carriages at night, prompting the hunter association to put a mission to exterminate them.

Suddenly, Xi Meili's voice resounded from behind, causing the Monroe sisters to turn their heads.

"Their hideout is on the other side of that small mountain, there is a small lake and their cave is very close to that lake." Yuan pointed at a small mountain at a distance. "There are more than 30 kobolds inside the cave, and also have a leader which is much larger compared to the rest of the kobolds."

"Is that so? Well, it's quite common since Kobolds are a bunch of meat-eating monsters." Yuan smiled.

"This place isn't as dark as I'd expected," Ava said after realizing that she was able to see inside very clearly despite how dark it looked from the outside.

After that, they began to walk deeper into the cave until they encountered what appeared to be an entrance to another area of the cave.
Arriving at the entrance, a strong smell of blood and mud entered their nostrils, causing them to make an ugly expression from the disgusting stink.
"This is it, the kobolds are inside." Yuan then looked at the Monroe sisters with a serious look on his face. "You three must be careful and always look at each other's back, we'll be keeping an eye on you guys from a distance."
"You don't need to worry too much about us, Husband. We're not as weak as we used to be." Rose smiled at Yuan before entering the cave with Julie and Ava.
Yaun and his wives also followed them and entered the cave.
Inside the cave, some of the kobolds are busy eating the flesh of the monster that they hunted, and the other kobolds are lying on the ground with mud covering their bodies, seemingly sleeping.
The Kobolds' have dark green coloured skin covered in scales, and they have only three fingers which don't look like fingers at all much like claws with sharp long nails that could tear apart thick armours with ease.
"So, these are the kobolds, huh? They're much larger than I'd expected." Ava quickly blinked at the massive figure of the kobolds nonstop when she saw the sharp nails coated with poison, with their rusty old weapons.
"But there are so many of them... Ah, they noticed us!" Julie suddenly pointed at all the kobolds, their head moved toward their direction after smelling their scent in the air, with killing intent radiating from their gazes.
"Roaaarrrrr!" One of the kobolds roared at the Monroe sisters, alerting the others about the intruders.
Shortly, The Monroe sisters were surrounded by more than 30 kobolds, with a mysterious glint in their eyes seeing their pray had delivered themselves within their territory.
