Chapter 254 Their first Mission
A moment later, Yuan and his wives, as well as Elle, arrived back at the reception hall of the Hunter Association.
"Mr. Yuan, please have a seat and wait. I'll be back with your wives' hunter licenses in a moment." Elle then returned to her desk and did some extra paperwork, after that she entered a room on the left.
After seeing the receptionist vanishing from his sight, Yuan turned to see his wives. "Let's go and have a seat; I've a feeling that Miss Receptionist won't be back anytime soon."
"Well, she has to prepare the licenses for Rose, Julie, and Ava, and preparing them naturally takes time." Anna Grace then pointed her finger at an empty table by the window. "There... We can sit and wait for Miss Receptionist to return over there."
After that, they went to the empty table and sat there, waiting for Elle to return with their hunter licenses.
"By the way, darling, are you planning to take any mission today, which will allow Rose, Julie, and Ava to rank up their hunter ranks?" Anna Grace suddenly asked, curious about what her son is planning as they won't be staying in this city for long.
"We'll do a single mission today, like eradicating some lowly goblins or perhaps exterminating some boars which are damaging the fields, which won't take up too much time," Yuan replied to his mother casually. He was thinking about looking around the city in the evening after finishing the mission.
Although they arrived here yesterday, they still haven't gotten time to look around the city and see what this city can offer to them. Moreover, Yuan was thinking about buying some good iron ores from a local merchant; he was planning to use Xi Meili's flame to forge shock-absorbers for their carriage.

Sometimes later, Receptionist Elle returned to the reception hall, trying to locate Yuan and his wives among the hunters within the hall.
'There they are...' Her gaze landed on Yuan and his wives sitting by the window, and she thought, 'I hope I didn't offend Mr. Yuan by keeping him waiting.'
Yuan and his wives also noticed Elle's return, and she signaled them to approach the reception desk.
Yuan suddenly stood up from his seat, smiling as he said to the Monroe sisters, "Miss receptionist has returned; let's receive your hunter licenses and accept a decent mission to increase your hunter rank."
"Un!" The Monroe sisters nodded with sparkling eyes, excited to get their hunter licenses.
Soon, they arrived at the reception desk.
"Here are your hunter licenses, Miss Rose, Miss Julie, and Miss Ava. Congratulations on becoming hunters; I'm sure you all will become famous hunters with your remarkable strength." Elle handed them their newly made hunter licenses with a smile on her face.
Rose examined her hunter license. "So, we're starting from the very bottom as F-rank hunters, huh."
"Although your combat strength far surpasses that of C-rank hunters, you'll still be starting from the lowest rank like everyone else. According to the rules of the hunter association, every hunter must climb up from the lowest rank, even if they have the strength far surpassing their ranks." Elle explained professionally.
"Is that so?"
Elle noticed the disappointed look on Rose's face and chuckled. "However, we can make an exception for you three and give you a higher-rank mission to increase your hunter rank faster. Surely, you won't have a problem dealing with strong monsters with your strength, would you?"
"That won't be a problem, since we have some experience fighting monsters before coming to this city." Rose smiled.
She had fought against monsters on their way to town after getting their techniques and weapons from Yuan. She was confident she could take down any monsters below B-rank, and if it's a peak B-rank monster, she would have a hard time but wouldn't lose.
"I see..." Elle nodded, then asked. "Now that you three have become hunters, although your rank is currently the lowest, are you thinking about receiving any missions?"

"So, did any of the missions on this record catch your interest?" Elle asked, noticing Rose, Julie, and Ava looking at the record book with great interest.
Having looked through each mission, Rose turned to Yuan and asked, "Husband, what do you think? There are a few missions that I like, but I'm not sure which one to take."
"I think you should accept this mission," Yuan pointed at a specific mission he deemed challenging for his wives. Its location was not far from the city. "Kobolds have tough scales, amazing strength, and fight like humans with weapons. It will be a good challenge for you three."
"Not only that, kobolds are also a very intelligent species of monster. They are quite skilled at fighting with weapons, much like us humans," Anna Grace added. "However, unlike humans, they can't speak and are quite hostile to any other races out there."
Seeing that Rose and her sisters were still hesitating to accept the mission, Lily decided to speak up. "Rose, aren't you regretting not being able to take the test? It's a good opportunity to test your abilities, don't you think?"

Seeing Elle hesitating to give the mission to Rose and her sisters, Yuan stepped forward on their behalf. "You don't need to concern about their safety. We'll also be tagging along with them to make sure they're safe in case something unexpected happens."
"Is that so? Since you're also tagging along with them, then I don't have any concerns. Here is the copy of the mission; don't lose it. You need to submit it alongside the proof of the elimination." Elle handed Yuan a copy of the mission after stamping it.
"Good luck on your first mission as hunters."
"Thank you for your kind words, miss receptionist. We'll now take our leave then." Rose smiled and turned to Yuan and her sisters.
"Let's go and hunt those vile kobolds. I'm quite excited to complete my first mission as hunters."
"Very well, then." Yuan nodded, and they walked out of the hunter association.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the city gate.
Today, there weren't any lines to go out or enter the city. After showing their hunter licenses, Yuan and his wives moved in the direction towards the mountain pass.
