Tang Enlai was the one that sent a mail to Glint, prompting Zhang Liling to issue a package to him.

And yes, Zhang Liling recognised as Zhang Xiaoling's husband, and that was the reason she was a little surprised with his mail and demand.

Tang Enlai had been annoyed with his mother's petty action to deal with his wife and having pity on her, he set out to do everything he could to get her an invite to the launch party.

He made calls to see if there was a way to get an invite, but none of them yielded fruit.

Left with no choice, he had to contact Glint through a mail to try his luck after taking a few hours to study the new brand.

After discovering that his mother was not bragging about how big Glint was going to be big, he decided that it was indeed worth the hype.

Although he had no reason to make Zhang Xiaoling happy after her treatment, he still set out to try to make her happy.

Contacting Glint and waiting for a response was by luck.

Truthfully, he wasn't even sure that his mail would get attended to since the event was less than 24 hours away, but to his surprise, he received almost a fast response and felt all his tended nerves calm down.

On the other hand, Zhang Liling had only one valid reason for accepting his request even though she disliked his tone.

'Is this how Glint works? Inviting only a few people they think are important to their brand launch and leaving out a big market sensation like us? That is unfair.'

Tang Enlai had sent the mail through his personal mail address that had his full name, but he made sure to attach his 'CEO' hierarchy and his company's logo in the letter, making it easy for his identity to be discovered and verified.

Zhang Liling had been surprised as she didn't know that he would be interested in her brand launch.

She had thought he was a little petty plus a touch of rudeness to him, but she still heeded to what he wanted.

The only valid reason she did that, was because she didn't want to make an enemy of any big conglomerate at this start of her professional journey even though she had Fang Bingwen by her side.

Seeing that it wouldn't remove anything from her, she gave an instruction for a package to be prepared and delivered to him at once.

But while giving that instruction, she had said in her mind, 'Tang Enlai, you'd better bring in some goodies to my company otherwise you would make a ten-fold payment for this.'

Zhang Liling was not going to let him use her make-up products, come to her event, drink champagne, eat good food plus dessert and then mingle with other wealthy and influential people and not add value to her business.

She was going to make him pay for it if he turned out to be useless to her.

Quickly, Tang Enlai carried out the box and set it on the desk. When he opened it, he glanced at the contents to confirm everything including the handwritten letter before closing the box back.

But there was one flaw he found out...

The name on the box was directed to him, 'Mr. Tang Enlai'

Was Zhang Xiaoling going to still appreciate it? Would she know that he got it for her when she sees his name imprinted on it?

Actually, Tang Enlai didn't think about this fact and now there was a problem.

He was thinking of leaving the box on the bed and leaving for work, but of Zhang Xiaoling should see the name on that box, there was a greater chance that she wouldn't even touch because she would not know that he got it for her.

'What should I do?' He pondered thoughtfully in his head as he didn't want to hand the box over to her directly.

Just then, the water from the shower seized, which immediately got his attention.

"She is done having her bath?"

At that realization he quickly thought of something.

Grabbing a pen and paper from the desk, he quickly wrote down a few words, then tore the piece from the book and place it on top of the box before carrying it to the foot of the bed where he placed it.

"This should be fine." He stated with a nod before turning his gaze back to the empty box in the middle of the room.

Some minutes later, Zhang Xiaoling emerged from the inner room dressed in a knee-length floral dress with her shoulder-length hair flowing behind her in a messy wave.

Instead of being alone in the house and endure the petty actions her mother-in-law would be rubbing on her, she figured that she could spend the rest of her day out if the house with the intention of returning only at night when everyone was back.

Although she thought to, but Tang Enlai had other plans for her.

As soon as she walked into the bedroom, her eyes caught sight of the box.

Instantly, her eyes squinted at it as her steps slowed, her eyes, laced with curiosity and recognition.

'Did he put this box here?'

Zhang Xiaoling felt that the box seemed familiar and proceeded to walk closer to it, and the only person she could think that must have out it there, was none other than Tang Enlai.

She could remember him answering a call that took him out of the room without carrying his workbag but now looking around the room, his workbag was gone.

She could only conclude that it had something to do with him.

Taking a closer look at the box, she saw a note written on it and proceeded to pick it up.

'The box is for you. We will go together. Wait for me.'

The words written on that piece of paper left Zhang Xiaoling more confused than ever.

As her brows creased, she shifted her gaze from the note in her hand to the box as one thought remained in her mind.

'Did he write it for me?'
