"They are moving forward, we should..." Alice turn around but Alex wasn't there.

'How did he move so silently, I didn't hear a single sound'

Alex's special stat was stealth so all his movements were silent, he left Alice and joined Max and Gabriel in front.

The group hid behind a bush as they inspect the surrounding area to see if it was the goblins they were looking for. freew(e)bnovel.(c)om

"It's not a goblin, it's not even a beast... it's a deer" Gabriel said as he saw the deer grazing on green grasses in the forest.

The group all looked at the innocent deer from above, where they stood was higher compared to the deer.

"They are extremely fast so I don't think we can capture it, let's just scare it away and continue" one of them suggested.

"No, we should kill it...I think it would fetch us a lot of coins if we sell the skin" Alex said.

"How do you know, have you captured a deer before?" the other players sneered at him.

'I have newbie protection, so if I kill this bastard no one would be able to kill me, maybe I should just kill the three of them' a smile formed on Alex's face as he thought of killing them.

'But I'm not sure I would be able to kill them, what if they also have newbie protection'

"When I was in the newbie village, an NPC sold deer skin for a ridiculous amount of coins,"

"But still, I don't think any of us can get close to the deer without scaring it away..." Alice spoke.

"What classes are you guys in?" Max asked.

"Why are you asking..."

"So we should plan, what if the deer skin fetch is a large amount, we can use it to upgrade our equipment, and if we fail in killing it we won't be at loss because the deer won't attack us..." Max said making all of them nod in agreement.

"You're right, it's not a beast so it would run away and if we succeed we can split the loots," one of the players said.

"I'm Shin, I'm a Marksman..."

"I'm Arthur, a swordsman..."

"I'm Alice, I'm a healer...what about you guys"

"I'm Max, a paladin"

"I'm Gabriel, Mage"

"I'm Reaper, an Assassin" Alex said without a hint of emotion.

"Reaper...is that your real name?" Arthur asked.

"No it's my in-game name, this is a game and it's not for making friends and besides after we part ways, we won't see each other again..." Alex spoke in a cold tone.

"That's right...so what's the plan" Shin spoke not minding Alex's cold voice.

"I'm going to sneak close to the deer, you guys should attack it and make it run towards me and I'll do the rest" Alex spoke.

"How are you going to sneak close to the deer without making a single noise...and if you defeat the deer we won't get any XP..." Arthur complained.

"He's an Assassin so it's easy for him to get close without the deer noticing, but for the XP I don't know what we're going to do," Max said as he tried to think of a solution.

"Only one of us can defeat the deer so we can't all gain the XP, so if I defeat the deer I won't share the loot with you guys," Alex said.

"So you get the XP and we get the loots, that's fair I'm on board" Shin spoke almost immediately, and the rest of them agreed.

'That's right, I just need the XP now, I need to level up to at least level 5 before my newbie protection runs out, after that I can hunt for loots' Alex said inwardly.

"So Alex, you're up, you can hide over there so we can see you" Max pointed towards the tree closest to the deer.

"Wait...what if he can't finish the deer off, we aren't close enough to see the HP of the deer, what if it's high," Arthur said.

"We don't know that yet" Gabriel spoke.

"When I get in position, I would give you guys a sign, if the HP is higher than expected we'll stop, but if it's okay I'll give you guys a thumbs up," Alex said and they all agreed.

"After hiding, we would lure the deer towards you, then you can do the rest" Max explained.

The group immediately went into action, Alex watched as Shin stretched his hands and when he retracted them a Slingshot appeared out of thin air.

To Alex, it looked like the Slingshot appeared out of thin air but to Shin, he retrieved it from his inventory.

The group took battle stance with their weapons in their hands except for Alice, she was a healer so she could only watch.

"Alex it's time to..." Gabriel turn around but Alex was already gone.

Alex slowly and carefully sneak through the forest, tree by tree avoiding the eyes of the innocent deer who was now sitting leisurely on the ground unaware of the danger that was about to happen.

Alex finally got in position and when he looked at the deer, he wasn't sure what he should do.

[Adult Deer]

[Level: 6]

[HP: 70/70]

Alex gave the group a thumbs up and they smiled and prepared for action.

Alex's blunt dagger was already in his hands, he inhaled sharply and waited for the deer-killing operation to begin. Alex's eyes fell on his dagger as he brought it close and inspected it.

The dagger had a few crack lines and it looked like it was going to fall apart, Alex knew he couldn't use one weapon for so long but this was surprising.

Alex watched and finally before the group could swing into action, Alex heard a small crackle. He turn his eyes away from the deer and looked carefully at one particular pile of grass.

The grass moved forward a little and Alex knew someone was using the grasses as camouflage.
