"Okay, but how does a blood stain in your dagger indicate that a beast is in the forest, it might just be..."

"Wait...do you hear that?" Alex stopped immediately, he already brought out his second dagger just in case.

"Wolves" Melissa sighed as she stepped back, she used her hands to tell Alex to step back and he did so immediately.

"Why are we heading back?" Alex asked.

"They are wolves, we might be surrounded, both of us charging in might set the rest off and they would attack," Melissa said as they head back.

"Hey Gabriel wake Rebecca up, there are wolves in the forest," Alex said as both of them walked to the rider.

"Wolves!!" Lynx muttered as he brought out his flintlock pistol.

"They are wolves in the forest!! shit I was afraid of that" the rider clenched his teeth, "The wolves usually don't attack where a carriage runs past them, but we stopping here is the same thing as trespassing"

"So they are going to attack?" Alex asked.

"I don't know, wolves are complex creatures and you never know what they are thinking"

"So we should be on guard, I don't think this is good, we are in the middle of the forest so we can't really tell how many they are," Melissa said.

"I think we can" Alex mumbled as he turned around.

"Rebecca are you awake now" Gabriel asked.

"Is the carriage done, Gabriel I'm still sleepy" Rebecca spoke in a tiny voice.

"The carriage isn't done yet but we might be in danger," Gabriel said.

"Is something wrong, what...oh no, no...no" Rebecca muttered as she looked around.

"Okay, it seems this isn't going to be a walk in the park just because they are wolves" Melissa spoke as she finally brought out an arrow.

"Rebecca I know you are surprised by their numbers, but can you give an estimate of how many they might be?" Alex asked.

"I think we are close to their cave, like really close to their cave, definitely close to their cave, over there" Rebecca pointed to the direction where Alex was training but deeper into the forest.

"A dungeon, definitely something we don't have to be close to right now, and the sun seems to be on their side, is it evening already!!" Lynx shouted as he looked upward.

"Rain...the clouds are covering the sun, I think we are going to get wet soon," Max said.

"I still need at least 20 minutes to get this done, I'll try harder to get it done in less" the rider shouted.

"Rebecca, can you point in which directions the wolves are?" Gabriel asked.

"Around us, I don't think we have any way to escape, there are more coming out from the cave but I think more than 30 wolves are surrounding us," Rebecca said.

"So what's the plan guys, we have never fought when it's raining, I don't know if I would be okay," Lynx said.

"We are all going to be okay, but first thing first, we shouldn't attack, that might buy us some time for the carriage to get ready then we leave," Alex said.

"But what if Melissa use her skill to destroy the wolves' dungeon, wouldn't that be great," Max said.

"The wolves' dungeon is none of our business once we get to Zenith City, and besides before we can get to the dungeon we'll have to kill all the wolves in this forest first, and we're definitely going to run out of strength and ammo," Alex said.

"He's right, I bought more bullet though but I don't think it's going to be enough"

"We should just stay calm, none of the wolves have revealed themselves so maybe they aren't going to attack us," Melissa said.

The six of them stood close to the rider, each of them looking around in case the wolves decided to attack, but over 10 minutes had gone by and none of the wolves attacked.

"I'm almost done, I need help putting this back in," the rider said and Rebecca bent down to assist him.

"It seems the wolves are lucky, I would have loved to blow out some of their brains" Lynx mumbled.

"It's done, but I think the rain would start soon," the rider said as he walked into the carriage.

The seat Alex and his friends sat on were boxes and the rider opened them and brought out four long wooden holders and a type of leather material.

The rider fixed the wood at the four sides of the carriage and used the leather material to cover up the carriage so that even if the rain starts it won't bother them inside the carriage.

"Okay we are set, climb on let's move," the rider said.

"Can I shoot one of the wolves while we are moving?" Lynx asked.

"NO, do you want to get us killed" Alex snorted.

"Uhmm, guys I don't think we should go that way," Rebecca said.

"Why?" the rider asked.

"There are tons of wolves there, I don't think the wolves are planning to attack us, maybe they are fighting something else," Rebecca said.

"Something else, like what?"

"I don't know, we should check it out first" Rebecca spoke.

"Then let's move slowly on foot," Melissa said and the group started moving.

The rider was at the back with Max beside him pulling the horses, while the rest of them were in front, Rebecca could sense if the wolves were coming from behind so they were not afraid as they kept moving forward.

After walking for a while they finally reached where Rebecca was talking about and there were dead bodies of wolves on the ground, the group looked up and saw the creature responsible but something was wrong.

"W-What are those?" Lynx asked.

"They look like orcs but they have blue skin, do orcs have blue skin?" Alex muttered.

"Those are rare breeds, they are faster and more powerful than an ordinary orc, and from what I read they are usually aggressive" the rider spoke.

"There are only three of them, we should kill them and move on," Lynx said.

"Wait, the wolves are..."

Two wolves jumped out of the bushes targeting one of the orcs, the orcs were bigger than the wolves so the wolves targeted the orc's legs hoping to bring it down.

Both of the wolves bit the leg of the orc but it showed no signs of pain and the two remaining orcs didn't bother to help.

The orc raised both of his hands and smashed both of the wolves killing them instantly like they were nothing but flies, the three orcs continued moving forward.

"We have to turn around, we can't defeat that, everyone get on, I'll take us somewhere safe," the rider said.

"I'll take one of them" Melissa spoke.

"Then Lynx and I would take the second one, Gabriel and Max would take the last one, Rebecca stay with the rider, and bring out your whip instead of holding those canes" Alex spoke.

"What, you guys are planning to fight those, they are extremely powerful, you are just kids, doing something like this would lead to your death" the rider shouted.

"I've died twice now, so I think I can handle it and besides, the weather is in my favor," Alex said.

"Gabriel, use your spell to trap it and I'll finish it off," Max said.

"Huh!! why would I do that, so you'll get all the XP, heck no we are both killing it" Gabriel said.

...

"Do we really have time to rest like this, in a forest no less?" Bloodmoon asked.

"Don't you rest in the real world, I'm tired of the constant fighting, and besides we have no clue where the so-called Demon Lord is, and we haven't even seen a single demon!!" Wraith shouted.

"Staying in a forest won't do us any good" another voice spoke from behind.

"I told you to stop doing that, I'm going to put a bullet in your skull" Wraith sneered.

"In my own opinion, I think it's best we stay away from the demon Lord for now, we have no idea what powers it possesses and or if we can defeat it" Death spoke.

"If we can't defeat it, who can, we are the strongest players in Nova Online, if we don't have the strength to defeat the demon Lord then who has?" Bloodmoon asked.
