Now that he knew what to do in order to transform that braided energy of his to the Azure Trace, Valyr gave himself some time to rest as he went over all of the things he had done so far.
From improving the purity of both his mana and Shadow Energy, to the entangling of the energies and applying of said energies to the skills, the young man went over all of them once more in his mind.
More than certain that he had committed everything to memory, the young man began to make an effort to make the Azure Trace a reality by first upgrading both of his energies to the peak of the Cleansing stages.
Asking Sellifer for instructions on how to go from 2nd Cleansing to 3rd Cleansing, the woman was slightly surprised to see the young man ask for the information out of his own accord.
Even though she was just pondering over whether or not to give the information to him.
After all, even though Valyr had a slow start at applying the braided energy into his skills, the young man had smooth and dexterous control over the energy at this point.
Not to mention that with the Intent Seed of the Four Elements in play, Valyr had brought the braided energy to a higher level of power and efficiency.
After watching the young man incorporate the Intent Seed into the braided energy, Sellifer felt that the power behind it was only a bit lacking when compared to the Azure Trace she had formed in the past.
In fact, she felt that it was possible for the young man to take the concept of Azure Energy to a different avenue as long as he given enough time.
Though, with Valyr achieving the Azure Trace being the main goal of the inheritance, Sellifer was left with no choice but to shelf the thought.
Inwardly sighing at what she thought was a greatly missed opportunity, the woman kept it all to herself as she went over the instructions to achieve 3rd Cleansing with Valyr in detail.
Making sure that he had committed all of that information in mind, Valyr then went ahead and proceeded to attempt reaching for the stage of 3rd Cleansing on both his energies.
With how he had reached 2nd Cleansing on his mana first, the young man decided to balance it out by improving his Shadow Energy this time around to 3rd Cleansing.
Delving deep into the world of darkness once more, Valyr watched the black star he had refined during the 2nd Cleansing generate the dark pearls that were scattered throughout the void.
Going over the steps in his mind once more, the young man soon imposed his will on the vast darkness before him, causing all of the dark pearls wandering around to congregate around the black star.
Then, without warning, he pushed all of the dark pearls into the black star as he caused its mass to greatly increase in a matter of minutes.
Watching as faint cracks started to appear on the surface of the star as he put more and more dark pearls into it, Valyr thought about the process he had gone through to push both his mana and Shadow Energy to 2nd Cleansing.
According to Sellifer, 1st Cleansing was the stage where the star that generated the energy itself would be created.
Then, the stage of 2nd and 3rd Cleansing would act as the stages of refinement for the star, improving its foundation for what would eventually be the goal of the purification process.
A metamorphosis of energy.
Recalling how he had to reform the stars in a limited amount of time after they had exploded during the 2nd Cleansing, Valyr focused all of his attention on the black star as he watched more and more cracks form on its surface.
By the time it had finally absorbed enough to explode into a burst of dark light, the young man swiftly imposed his will on the world once more, feeling a hint of backlash due to the force contained within the explosion.
Fortunately, it only took another attempt for him to get everything under control, deftly reforming the star once more with the chunks that had exploded all throughout the void.
In a way, the explosion acted as a hammer to the chunks, tempering them in order to improve the rigidity and structure of the chunks themselves.
With that, the young man ended up with a star that was more condensed than before, yet at the same time contained more power than even the star he had just blown up.
Whoosh!
Watching the star generate a series of dark pearls that now began to give off a faint glow, Valyr felt the Shadow Energy begin to roil as they gradually began to take on the new form he had just unlocked.
Admiring the improved dark pearls within the void for a bit more, the young man was just about to return his attention back to the barren ground to move onto his mana…
Only for him to stop as he saw all of the pearls flicker blue for a brief moment.
Standing frozen in that void for a few moments as the ephemeral sight burned itself into his memory, Valyr felt a dam of some sort finally bursting open at that moment.
And soon enough, a deluge of information began to fill up his mind.
All of them having something to do with the concept of Shadow Energy.

Feeling his consciousness being transported into another void altogether, Valyr watched as the dark world before him began to be filled by the sight of what he had seen when he had broken the Intent Seed of Shadow Energy to the Second Stage.
'Shadow Energy and mana could be considered two sides of the same coin…' thought the young man to himself as the statement surfaced in his mind once more.
Though, with the sight he had just seen after improving his Shadow Energy to 3rd Cleansing, as well as the things Sellifer had shown him and made him do thus far, that statement gradually disappeared in his mind.
Instead, it was replaced with a new one as the Shadow Energy and mana in the void began to intertwine with one another, reminding him of the braided energy he had created.
However, unlike his braided energy, the intertwining between the energies went even deeper, linking even their various properties together.
At that sight, a thought popped up in his mind, prompting his connection with the world to undergo a change one last time.
'Though they differ in properties, they occupy the same coin. Therefore, it could be said that they are one and the same.'
'Shadow Energy can be mana. Mana can be Shadow Energy.'
'One could take on the form of another. But only by having both could they be one.'
'Only with them being one could true power be realized.'
'And one way to achieve that is to create Azure Energy.'
