Chapter 812 Four Pillars: Hall of Legends and Myths

Swoosh!

Appearing at the center of the Gates of Awakening, Valyr took a bit of time to admire the opulent sight that surrounded him.

Though, not long after, the young man let out a low sigh, his current location reminding him of what he had just left.

"I really hope they won't take it the wrong way once I break it to them," muttered Valyr to himself, his thoughts wandering off to the now slumbering Hal and Vera.

After directly hearing from Vaughn that only he would be able to enter the Gates of Transcendence, the young man already began to come up with ideas that would possibly allow the three of them to enter together.

Unfortunately, after Vaughn had clarified what his appearance at the barren spot and the items given to him signified, Valyr was left with no choice but to come up with an explanation as to why the two of them couldn't enter the Gates of Transcendence.

Of course, Valyr had no obligation to share such information on the Triad Gates in the first place, only choosing to do so after recalling that he was accompanying the ones that would eventually blossom into the Four Deities of Production in the future.

After all, if the Four Deities of Production grew far stronger in his current life, then humanity would have a greater standing once the War of the Three Sovereignties went into full swing.

With that in mind, the young man wasn't obligated to share information on the Gates of Transcendence either.

If anything, he could tell the two that he found out that there was no way for them to enter the Gates of Awakening and the two would be none the wiser.

However, with how the relationships between them had somewhat grown throughout the time they spent within the inheritance…

Valyr found it somewhat difficult to do.

Or at least, he felt a great sense of guilt at having to do such a thing.

'This is harder to do than keeping my lips sealed on the truth behind the underground area,' thought Valyr to himself, feeling a bit of guilt at having hidden something like that to the group as well.

Letting out yet another sigh, the young man gathered his thoughts for a bit in silence, pondering a bit more over how he was going to break the news to the two on how they wouldn't be able to enter the Gates of Transcendence.

Getting a rough idea of what he needed to say after some time, Valyr took in a deep breath for composure as he made his way to the Realm of Myriad Experiences not long after.

Whoosh!

"Still a lot of time."

Opening up a rift to take a quick peek at the inheritance proper, Valyr faintly nodded as he noticed that the moon was still far away from reaching the peak of its trajectory.

Calculating that he could probably spend a couple of months within the Realm of Myriad Experience and return to the inheritance proper by the time it was day there, the young man made his way inside.

Swoosh!

Appearing in the center of a barren ground yet again, Valyr calmly listened on as the voice from before gave a brief rundown on how he could use the Realm of Myriad Experiences.

Eventually, the voice told him how much time he had left to use the Realm of Myriad Experience, only to ask him not long after on how long he planned on staying within the place.

Taking into consideration that he had more than enough time to spend two months within the Realm of Myriad Experiences and return as if nothing had happened, Valyr mulled over it for a bit, thinking of doing so at first.

Though, in the end, he decided to spend a month in the Realm of Myriad Experiences once again as he reminded himself of a reward he had yet to receive.

"The Hall of Legends and Myths."

Confirming with the voice that he planned on staying an entire month within the Realm of Myriad Experiences, the young man wasted no time going through the skills in his arsenal, focusing his attention on other facets of his skill set this time around.

Unlike before, where he focused on the core skills that made up his main combat style, Valyr focused on the skills that he used somewhat often, either to support his combat style or enhance other areas of his life.

With that, it went without saying that Valyr burned through a ton of mana potions throughout the entire month he was inside the Realm of Myriad Experiences, using all of them to activate all of the skills in his arsenal.

Thankfully, with how he spared no thought in making use of all the mana he had in reserve, the skills he had chosen to train within this place grew by leaps and bounds, reaching their level limits in a matter of days.

The first set of skills he had chosen to grind during this month were none other than his elemental manipulation skills, using them in rotation in order for all of them to ascend to the Advanced stage in more or less the same time.

By the time all of the manipulation skills under his belt had reached the level limit, the corresponding passive affinity skills for each element had long past ascended the Advanced stage, stopping just shy of breaking through the first bottleneck.

After upgrading all of his elemental manipulation skills, Valyr thought about upgrading his other elemental skills as well, thinking that he would basically be hitting two birds with one stone by doing so.

However, after a bit of deliberation, he eventually decided to focus his attention on upgrading all of his defensive and healing skills in his arsenal.

After all, having a sturdy defensive skill or a strong healing skill sometimes dictated whether one was alive or dead.

Consuming mana potions as if it were water once again, Valyr went through all of his defensive and healing skills in a rotation as the insights he received from activating them flowed into his mind.

Learning from the insights he was gaining, the young man eventually maxed out those skills just like all the other skills he had leveled up through sheer effort within the Realm of Myriad Experiences.

Though, unlike the other skills he had grinded for hours and days upon end for, grinding his defensive and healing skills to their level limit had surprisingly allowed him to obtain a couple passive skills that made him wonder why he hadn't obtained them a long time ago.

"[Defense Mastery] and [Healing Mastery]…" muttered Valyr to himself, staring at those specific skills on the screen he had brought up.

Thanks to the near-incessant number of times he had activated his defensive and healing skills in a bid to max them out, both [Defense Mastery] and [Healing Mastery] had entered the Intermediate stage, breaking through the first bottleneck with great ease.

Noticing that, the young man went ahead and spent a bit of his XP to max both of them out, nodding in satisfaction not long after.

By the time he had maxed out both skills, the Realm of Myriad Experiences had kicked him out of the place, with the voice telling him that his time was up.

Whoosh!

Appearing at the entrance of the Realm of Myriad Experiences once more, Valyr went ahead and conjured a rift to take a peek at the inheritance proper.

Seeing that the moon had only gone past its zenith just recently, the young man inwardly let out a sigh of relief as he understood that he still had more than enough time to do the other thing he planned on doing in this trip.

With that, he activated [Arcane Serpentine Sprint] to enhance his movement speed, arriving at the center of the Gates of Awakening after a few minutes.

Once there, he took a look at his surroundings yet again, bringing up the information the Gates of Awakening had given him the first time he came to this place.

After a minute or so of silence, Valyr eventually found the path that he needed to take to get to the place he wanted to go to, heading in a direction that once again veered off the common paths in the courtyard.

However, unlike the path to the Realm of Myriad Experiences that looked worse for wear, the path leading to the Hall of Legends and Myths seemed well-maintained.

In fact, if Valyr looked closely at the path he was walking on, it seemed as if the path had been given far greater care than even the paths leading to the four knowledge repositories.

'Well, it does make sense,' thought Valyr to himself with a slight shrug. 'After all, the Hall of Legends and Myths contains the weapons and memories of beings that have made a name for themselves.'

'Who wouldn't want to have a shot at inheriting at least one of the things in that place?'

With that in mind, the young man leisurely made his way towards the Hall of Legends and Myths, admiring the buildings and sights he came across along the way.

Eventually, the young man arrived before the place, his gaze instantly becoming enamored by the sheer size of the building making up the Hall of Legends and Myths.

Though, as he gradually looked downward to find the entrance, his gaze eventually froze on a man he wasn't expecting to see so soon.

"Vaughn Darkstar…"
