Chapter 937 Making Amends
The room was tense the moment Rudra made his entrance as despite her best efforts, Asiva's eyes could not hide her hostility that she felt towards Rudra.
She knew that the damage to her son was not permanent and she also knew that Rudra did what he did to save Kartikeya, however, what she could not accept was that Rudra never came to apologise to her personally about the incident and although he was the Supreme Lord and he was beyond reproach, Asiva lost a lot of respect for Rudra's moral character.
She was a mother and she could not bear to see her son suffer even the slightest and for the suffering that Kremeth was put through, Asiva felt vengeful towards Rudra.
The others however did not share that emotion and the moment Rudra entered the conference room, Anna, Naomi and Ruby were all delighted as they swarmed him with hugs and love.
There was something different about Rudra since the last time that everyone saw him as when Naomi hugged her husband she could not feel any body heat coming from him.
Hugging Rudra felt no different from hugging a lifeless object which was a weird sensation.
" You feel….. different" Naomi said as Rudra gently smiled and stroked her head.
His body had completely became energy and physical attacks no longer worked on him.
To hug his family, Rudra took the most physical form that he was capable of, but despite becoming solid, he no longer had any body heat or characteristics of living beings such as a need to breathe air or a need to eat food as in essence he had already become a celestial.
Nonetheless, his kind expression was something that Naomi had not seen in a long time and she felt warm and reassured upon witnessing it as after a long long time, her husband felt like he was himself again.
" I'm here to see Max…, but before that I need to talk to you people as well.
I'm sorry lord's gathered here, but we need some space as a family" Rudra said as he politely hinted to the Vampire lord's to empty the conference room and give them space.
Immediately, the vampire lords who kept staring at Rudra's majesty evacuated the room without a single complaint as they discussed in hushed voices amongst themselves how ethereal Rudra looked.
Rudra's entire demeanour had changed after integrating the 7 seeds as he had already changed to a realm beyond that of a mere monarch and his aura even when he did not flex it reflected the same.
When mortals and tier6 god's came in his presence, his natural charisma and aura made him look like an untouchable supreme being and his legendary history only exaggerated that outlook.
However, the moment the lord evacuated, Asiva crossed her arms and stared at Rudra as she said " before meeting Max, don't you have something to say to me and Kremeth Jr?"
Asiva was angry, her voice also portrayed her emotions and Rudra understood that this was the one and only chance he was ever going to get to make amends as he joined both his hands in a namaste pose and bowed as deeply as he could and said in the most sincere voice " I'm sorry, I did not mean to cause harm to my nephew and I understand I can never make it up to you, a mother who feels more pain than maybe even he does, however, I'll say this and I mean it…. I'm ashamed of my actions.
I was not in full control of my powers back then and he was injured as a result.
I did my best to save his soul and reconstruct his body, but failed to do it perfectly.
I was supposed to beg you for forgiveness the very next day, however, in my delirious state I was too egoistic to bow before anyone.
There is no justification for my actions but I'm ashamed.
I'm genuinely sorry, Asiva, I hope you and Kremeth junior can forgive the foolish actions of this old fool "
Asiva's eyes widened in surprise when she saw Rudra bow before her.
The supreme lord of the universe was bowing before someone much weaker than him? If that did not show his sincerity about the matter than nothing did.
Tears started to flow down her eyes as the knot in her heart began to unravel.
All she ever wanted was for him to take accountability and apologise, and now that Rudra did, and in the most sincere way possible, she no longer had any complaints.
Anna gave her a big hug, while Naomi and Ruby gave Rudra a big thumbs up as they completely supported his decision to humble himself in this scenario.
Bowing was not a sign of weakness, but a show of character strength as not everyone had the guts to admit their mistakes and apologise for it.
Once Asiva forgave Rudra, she even gave him a hug before leading him to Max as she worriedly explained Max's situation to him.
The atmosphere in the family seemed to heal and normalise as with Rudra returning from his isolation suddenly everything felt like it would be solved and smooth again.
On his way to visit Max, Rudra came across Drax in his human form and immediately paused as he asked Anna as to who this man was and once Anna explained, Rudra immediately imprisoned him in a tier10 prison.
" Why did you imprison him? Do you suspect him of foul play?" Naomi asked Rudra as Drax desperately tried to escape his imprisonment but failed.
" I don't know who he is, however, he is definitely not who he claims to be, this body belongs to Dracula and the soul inside it is weird.
We will verify his identity once Max wakes up, however, I don't trust this man" Rudra said as everyone suddenly became vigilant of Drax and his intentions.
