( The council meeting, Day 2 )
Day 2 of the meet started on a brighter note than day 1.
With an agenda successfully passing the day before, there was hope for fruitful discussion on day 2.
Regus got the same scornful looks from Neatwit on day 2 that he had gotten on day1, but just like the previous day he paid them no heed.
Neatwit could take his place in the council of monarchs because he was backed by one and had a monarchy he ruled, but the fact of the matter was that he was not himself a monarch which meant that he was not Regus's equal.
As per Micheal's decision to rotate the position of speaker clockwise, today was Neatwit's turn to bring a resolution up for discussion and there was a high possibility that it would be related to Max.
Regus knew that today might be the most difficult day he would face in the council meeting and had come mentally prepared for it, but luckily for him, Max was not the first issue that was brought up by the True Elites guildmaster, but it was rather a much more serious topic.
The topic that Neatwit introduced was the roles and loyalty of the universal queen and it was a divisive topic to say the least.
" I think everyone here experienced the queen's biases towards the dark faction during the dimensional war.
If there are those amongst us who still continue to feel that the queen is neutral and unbiased then those individuals need a reality check.
The topic that the Elite Monarchy wishes to bring to the floor today is regarding dissolution of the universal queen and replacing her with a better, more unbiased system of universal governance, as well as removing the hunting order that she has placed on our leader Shakuni " Neatwit said, as the topic immediately sparked debate amongst all monarchs.
The queen made governance of the universe 70% more simpler by integrating newer planets into the faction when they were ready, controlling the safe zones where new adventurers could meet and connect without dying and helping the governance of battle-zones by providing the rulers with various basic tools and services as well as ensuring and enforcing system contracts.
To take her out, the monarchs needed to have a two-third majority which came at 66.6%.
That meant that at least 8 votes needed to be secured out of 11 for the resolution to pass, since 7 only amounted to 62%.
Right off the bat, Hades was a supporter of Neatwit introduced resolution and camp politics could be seen fully in effect as Patricia and Cervantez gave him support over the matter as well.
Right off the bat, Regus was in opposition of the proposal as if Shakuni was no longer ' Wanted ' in the universe and was allowed to roam free, his life would be endangered.
Omar also opposed the proposal since he was quite happy with how the universal queen behaved and wanted no changes.
But everyone else was on the fence and could go either way.
[ Cervantez ] : I'm sorry, I don't understand why you would want the queen around. I for one am a strong believer that if you fool me once, shame on you. But if you fool me twice, then maybe I am the fool!
The queen has shown questionable judgement in recent times and is clearly not neutral, she needs to go-
[ Micheal ] : I'm not against change, but creating a new universal A.I. is not exactly a free and easy service.
It's the celestials who created the queen and if we disband her, we need to be at their mercy to help us create the new governing body.
I'm not going to decommission her until I know that they are willing to help us.
[ Forger King ] : I think we are understanding this proposal the wrong way.
It's not the queen that needs to be replaced, but rather her morale code that needs to be rewritten.
We don't need to decommission her, but rather hold her accountable and re-write her set of instructions that made her act in the manner that she did.
[ Rhea ] : I think the Forger King is right, we need to hold the queen accountable for her actions first and then come to a decision regarding her future.
After intense debate and discussion that was pure mayhem, it was agreed by all that the universal queen needed to be summoned for questioning and hence the queen was forced to manifest herself as a winged fairy at the centre of the council table, where she stood for questioning by the monarchs.
[ Neatwit ] : We want to know why you betrayed and killed Shakuni in the arena of the god's.
Why you shamelessly hunted his family and him when he re-emerged?
Why you supported the dark faction and actively manipulated the odds in favour of their victory in the dimensional war
And if decommissioning you is a better alternative for the future of the universe, you absolute junk of an A.I.
The anger in Neatwit's voice was evident as he asked this question and there was pin-drop silence in the room, building anticipation for the reply.
The universal queen in her expressionless fairy form processed the best reply under the circumstance and began speaking with a sombre yet mechanical voice.
" My decision was based on….. "

With Max imprisoned, the reception for the victorious Bloodfall troops was a lot more dampened than it was supposed to be.
There were no grand parties, there was no parade or celebration as life went back to the mundane normal very fast.
With Asiva's help, Sebastian got the required clearances very quickly as he found a great big empty plot in the heart of the city that was the perfect place to bury Kremeth's head.
Although he was supposed to do this alongside Max, since it wasn't clear when he was going to be released, Sebastian dug a hole and buried his master's head with great care and regret.
On this very spot, using his personal wealth, he vowed to start the religion of cowards and make this the holy shrine.
He also vowed that until the day that he killed Angakok and avenged Kremeth, he would not sleep peacefully on a bed but rather sleep on the floor as a reminder of how his master was buried in the ground.
