( Rudra's POV )
It was late night on the Rajput planet and Rudra was sleeping soundly with his two wives in his arms when he sensed a disturbance nearby.
Within a split-second, the god king was on his feet and out the door as he saw the necromancy sovereign Anubis land on his planet.
Anubis, who had lost the Dimensional War with the dark faction had fled the controlled universe before the war reached its conclusion and was living as a wanderer in the edge of the universe.
While he was wandering aimlessly, he felt a treasure calling out to him and it led him to Rudra's planet where the seed of darkness was buried in the front yard.
Anubis had scanned the planet from a distance before deciding to land on it, and his scan showed that the strongest individual on the planet was a tier5 woman and did not think too much of it, but that was a blunder on his part.
Rudra had concealed his strength around the kids and the wives because his aura alone would have been otherwise too suffocating for them to handle, but he was by no means a tier0 warrior.
As Anubis descended, Rudra met his deathly pale gaze with his stern blue eyes as he folded his arms and waited patiently for the sovereign to dare put a foot on his planet.
" Land, and you die…. " Rudra threatened and Anubis felt the weight of his chilly warning.
Anubis rescanned the man and was shocked to see that Rudra's power level was rising rapidly.
Tier4…Tier5…Tier6…Tier7….Tier8….
Anubis understood that for a man to possess such a treasure that could call him out from the depths of space, the man must not be ordinary, as he contemplated between stepping back and fighting.
He was a tier8 sovereign too and had heard about the tale of Lucifer's death so he recognised that the man in front of him must be Shakuni the terrifying and the treasure that was calling out to him must be the seed of darkness that Shakuni must have robbed from Lucifer's corpse.
Thinking quickly on his feet, Anubis said " Greetings to Shakuni The Terrifying, I'm Anubis, a wanderer who has been dragged to this planet by the whispers of the treasure you have buried in here.
I will not land on this planet if great Shakuni denies me permission, but I request you parlay with me.
I will give you an object of equal value to the seed of darkness should you be interested ".
Anubis wanted parlay, he thought that if he presented himself in a non-threatening manner, he could get Shakuni to be sensible and barter with him, but unfortunately for him, ever since Shakuni had detected him, he had began his [ Omniscient Future Sight ] skill and by now Anubis's fate was already sealed.
" It is indeed a great offer God Anubis, a very sensible one.
There is no need for us to scuffle amongst each other needlessly when both of us are outcasts of the universe.
I'm sure we can settle this like gentlemen and negotiate the proper price.
But you see, I'm not really known for being sensible-
A deal is done between two equal parties you see-
If the word goes out that Shakuni made a deal with Anubis, it will get the wrong message across, that me and you are equals.
The fact of the matter is that you are nothing but scum that deserves death and I'm a greedy bastard who will loot your corpse for all it's worth.
So, no, no parlay because I'm not a pirate, I'm a goddamn conqueror! " Shakuni said as he turned into a flash of lightning and moved towards Anubis with terminal velocity.
Anubis, who only had enough time to create a corrosive fog around him before Shakuni was upon him, tried his best to defend against the blinding speed of the man, but unfortunately for him, despite Shakuni closing in like he was going for a physical attack, when he came near Anubis, instead of attacking him with a physical attack he blasted him with an [ Elite Blast ] from point blank range.
*KABOOM*
Anubis was shot-out of Rudra's planet like he was a shooting star and Rudra followed him into space.
With nothing but his bare hands, he scuffled against the necromancer sovereign who was more or less powerless in space where his summonings were useless.
The battle between the two was one-sided and lasted for only 2 minutes total after which Anubis died and Rudra looted his corpse dry to get all sorts of soul treasures and rare items.
It wasn't like Rudra needed them in the first place, but the idea of having more treasures never seemed like a bad thing.
The man had brazenly descended onto his planet for looting his collection and had ruined his sleep, so in Rudra's mind killing him was justified.
But if it had been anyone else, then offending a sovereign would have been an unthinkable option for them even if the sovereign wanted the heads of their own children for fun.
As Rudra returned to bed, Ruby woke up slightly as she asked Rudra why there was a slight sound outside a few moments ago?
Rudra kissed her on the forehead and told her not to worry about it as he returned to sleep as if nothing ever happened.
The only individual who had witnessed Rudra's battle in the house was the little Jake, who had been stargazing outside since he could not sleep because of the body ache from training.
But when he finally witnessed the strength of his father firsthand, Jake became completely mesmerised by his attack and power.
Suddenly, the little one felt like his training was not painful and very much worth it as it became his dream to one day unleash an attack as powerful as his father.
Little did he know that him watching was the only reason his father picked up the fight in the first place, as this was precisely the respect he yearned to see for himself in his kids eyes.
