( Max's cell )

The cell where Max was imprisoned had complete darkness.

Even if Max wanted to, he could not read the book that he had obtained from the Universal Warehouse in here unless he could manifest a small light source in here.

Thankfully for him, he had the Agni-Astra on him which although could not replenish it's energy within this mana-less environment, already had pre-stored energy which Max could use to create a small fireball.

Max controlled the power output and created a flame as small as possible for his functional use, as he needed to keep in mind that the flame was like a lantern now which was running on limited fuel.

Since he had no idea as to how long he would be trapped inside this cell exactly, Max knew he needed to ration as much as possible.

The small flame illuminated the dark cell room, and Max was able to see the surroundings he was in which he had already sensed.

It was about as bad as he imagined it to be, but he did not pay much attention to his surroundings as he was fully focused on the cover of the book he had in his hands.

[ The Primal God Of War ] the name itself sounded ominous and awfully close to his own title of ' Primal God ' given by the celestials.

His heartbeat raced as he opened the first page, but before he could start reading, he was rudely interrupted by his cell-mate next door as for the first time ever Ulrich the werewolf god spoke to him via the thick walls.

" What happened eh? Primordial Vampire? Your heartbeat is so loud it makes me feel like you are losing your shit.

Relax. If they wanted to kill us, they would have done so long ago " Ulrich said as Max heard his voice and rolled his eyes, his neighbour was way too full of himself.

" The great defeated god Ulrich talking to me? Oh how has my fortune turned…. " Max said a bit dramatically and extremely sarcastically as Ulrich burst into laughter next door.

He took the sarcasm in good sport and replied " Ofcourse, it's our holy land, the birthplace of both our races "

Max, who had no idea about the birth of races, seemed perplexed by this revelation as he cautiously replied " What do you mean? "

Ulrich who was laughing just moments ago suddenly turned dead serious as he said " Hey, what exactly have the modern vampires told you about the legend of Ixtal? "

There was an edge to his voice that seemed like it was a volcano about to erupt.

Just listening to it made Max feel the raw emotion that Ulrich was feeling as he squinted his eyes and narrated everything he knew about Ixtal's past as best as he could.

He told Ulrich about the moon which was tidally locked against the sun bathing the planet in a constant Lunar Eclipse giving it the signature red hue.

He told him about the Sanguis, the river of blood that originated from the glaciers where allegedly the modern vampires fought against the werewolves under the last vampire king many centuries ago and the ice was tainted red permanently because of all the bloodshed, turning Sanguis red.

He told him about the prophecy surrounding the primordial vampire and the words of the last king.

He also told him about Regus's palace and how the current administration only allowed very limited vampires to live on Ixtal and never for more than 20 years and all other trivia he knew about the planet and its history.

When his tale ended, Ulrich began to scoff and laugh an almost maniacal laughter.

For two full minutes he howled and laughed as if he had just suffered a mental breakdown, but then his voice turned aggrieved and almost pitiful as he murmured as a hurt puppy " It's over… they have washed our true history with lies and now that we have lost the war the true narrative will be forever lost to the sands of time

They have won…..

Those despicable bastards have won…. "

Max raised an eyebrow as the dots seemed to connect.

It was common knowledge that it was the winners who wrote the history books, but uptil now Max had never even began to consider that the history of the vampire capital and their holy land might actually be a big fat lie.

Just what happened thousands of years ago?

What was the history between the vampires and the werewolves?

( Meanwhile Rudra )

Rudra had started to train Jake and Amy in a fun-play-learn model.

After wrecking his brain over how to toughen his pampered children, Rudra understood that if he wanted to train them he needed to train them without making them feel like it was training.

Hence he played games with them like dodgeball and mimic the action to teach them valuable lessons on reflex and posture.

Not only did the children thoroughly enjoy his training, but they also showered him with hugs and kisses which felt oddly satisfying to Rudra.

He felt a little weird when his son jake kissed him, but the boy did not know the stigma surrounding his actions which put Rudra in an even tougher spot.

Without society and society standards to conform to, his kids were inside a bubble of their own, not understanding if they would be judged for their actions.

It was both a good and a bad thing, but for now Rudra decided to only focus on the good aspect.

At night he would sit with all 3 kids and teach them about maths and science before putting them to bed with an epic war-story of his own.

Apparently in his absence, his wives had already consistently told the children about just how strong their father was, so the kids were already mesmerised by his feats.

But listening to the story from Rudra himself made their awe that they felt towards him increase tenfold, helping him slowly solidify his position as the only idol figure they needed to look upto.
