( The Dimensional Battlefield )
The demon army marched in unison as they made haste towards the vampire disc.
Just as Rudra had predicted, the route they had chosen to ensure that they reached their destination as fast as possible involved them crossing a treacherous valley.
The valley was a narrow pathway between two tall cliffs that stretched for a total distance of 1.5 kilometres and cut down the army's travel time by roughly two hours.
The alternative path was for them to first climb up the mountain through the dense forest region and then climb down the same, which would significantly reduce movement speed, Hence the valley was the perfect chokepoint for Max to hold.
The valley itself was only about 20 metres wide at its shortest point and about 50 metres wide at its widest point and was surrounded by tall cliffs that were at least 200 feet tall on both sides.
Inside the valley, the numbers advantage of the advancing demon army was all for naught as they could only go shoulder to shoulder for a combined number of 10-20 men at most.
Theoretically, it was Sebastian's 350,000 undead against the 20 million strong demon army.
But practically, it was just Max, the clone, Sebastian and Zippo vs the entire demon army in a 4 vs 20 million battle.
Somehow Zippo had not left his shadow throughout the dragon battles and had decided that protecting him was more important than his thirst for revenge, a decision that Max secretly appreciated a lot.
But if one thought about it even more pragmatically, the clone was just Max's skill move, and Zippo was not going to show himself unless Max was in mortal danger, hence the number of fighters who were actually going to oppose the demons dropped down to just Max and Sebastian.
Two cowards vs the mighty demons-
As the silhouette of the approaching demon army became visible, Max let out a deep sigh and calmed his shaky nerves.
He knew he needed to keep it together and try his very best, because if he failed to hold the enemy here, the vampire victory against Satan would mean nothing.
If the light faction destroyed one disc and lost another, it was no longer a victory was it?
" I'm sorry old friend, I know you don't like such dangerous scenarios, yet your foolish friend always drags you into them " Max confessed as he threw the trembling Sebastian beside him an apologetic smile.
Max had expected Sebastian to curse him or throw his usual ' Why always me? ' rant, but shockingly in a fight where even Max felt that it was highly dangerous, Sebastian did not back away.
" It's fine buddy, this coward has your back covered, just watch your front.
You know that my life has only two main missions, one is to become a great womaniser and please as many women as I can, and the second one is to kill demons-
If I can kill those disgusting creatures by the thousands it's a good day, but you have given me the opportunity to kill them by the millions!
For that, this coward thanks you- " Sebastian replied as he patted Max on his shoulder and gave him a confident smile.
Max's grin widened as he felt Sebastian's positivity flow through him, energising himself in the process.
" Want to see who kills more demons? " Max suggested
" Of Course it'll be me, " Sebastian replied as he flew off from Max's side and took his position on the tall cliff to Max's right.
" Could be me too- " the clone shrugged as he went and took his position on top of the left tall cliff of the valley, leaving only Max and an army of 350,000 undead behind him on ground 0.
Max thought about the comments of his two challengers and then smiled a big smile, as he murmured to himself " Nope, definitely going to be me "
Just as he said that, a group of 6 tier6 god's approached the trio in a 2-2-2 split.
They had sensed that 3 light faction god's were blocking the marching path of their army and had came forward to deal with them before the main force arrived, however, they had severely underestimated the power of their opponents.
While a 2v1 was usually enough, especially at the tier6 level, today was not such a day where it was.
[ Primordial Domain ]
[ Illusionary Space ]
[ Endless Wind Scythe Barrage ]
Max activated the primordial domain which expanded to cover the entire ground region of the valley around him and trapped the two approaching god's within.
The moment they entered Max's domain, Max altered the law of gravity around them to how it was in the chaos realm and immediately the two high demon gods who had entered his domain had difficulty moving as they stumbled and fell as if they had lost all motor control.
Manipulating the law of space, Max teleported straight behind one of the two and tapped on his shoulder before using [ Blood Manipulation ] to cause [ Blood Explosion ]
The demon tried to move, but he was powerless within Max's absolute domain as his attempt to roll over his body and dodge was a complete failure and Max gave him irreversible internal bleeding damage and burst lots of critical capillaries causing excruciating pain to run throughout his body.
The process was repeated on the second god and within 10 seconds both of them laid dead at his feet.
On the clone's end, he used Earth Manipulation to stall one god, and took the other to illusionary space where he killed him with the power of the sanguine river.
Doing the same with the second god too, he too neutralised them both taking a total time of 14 seconds to do so.
Finally, Sebastian used the power of the Vayu-Astra and began pelting his opponents with a move called ' Endless Wind Scythe Barrage ' whereby he continuously cast wind scythes and threw them towards the enemy.
He screamed " Die Demon Scum, Die " as he he threw them and although both of his opponents stopped a few of his attacks initially, eventually their guard crumbled and they were overwhelmed by the speed, power and accuracy of Sebastian's endless barrage.
A total of 72 seconds and roughly 1000 scythe throws later, Sebastian too had neutralised both his opponents as he stood proudly with both his hands raised in the air over their corpses.
The other 194 gods who were watching the battle unfold from a distance, had long began moving at top speed to assist their comrades, however, by the time they realised that the forward party was no match for the three who blocked their way, 4 of them were already dead.
By the time they arrived to support the remaining 2, they died as well, as the demon army generals understood that these were not the average Joe's that they were dealing with.
" Here they come " Max murmured as he took out his runic bone staff and expanded his domain to its limits.
Behind the tier6 god's, the demon army rushed towards Max as well while a few stronger ones funnelled out and attempted to quickly climb the cliff to support their generals fighting the two warriors above.
A legendary fight was about to unfold….
