Angakok's ominous warning before he left, completely dampened Max's mood.
The shaman god had suffered a setback, however, he was very much still alive, powerful and kicking.
While within the soul space Max had been able to counter the shaman god because of his souls influence, in the real world Angakok was a heavyweight that Max could not handle on his own yet.
There was a reason behind why Angakok was able to coerce Kremeth and Dharti to become Max's teachers and a reason behind why even Micheal had to talk with him with respect.
The shaman god was one of the best fighters in the universe with countless means at his disposal.
For him to be alive and keep Max under his cross-hair meant that Max could never sleep in peace, nor could he ever hope to use the skill move of summoning his consciousness again.
From this day forward whatever facade of friendship existed between himself and Angakok was completely shattered as their enmity was all but set in stone.
Their business was not over and Angakok had made sure to convey this message before their separation.
Although their separation happened on an ominous note, Max did gain a lot out of his meeting with the shaman god this time as when he finally checked his stats in peace within the system he saw that he had gained a hell lot of levels as a result of the soul force that he had absorbed from Angakok.
While Max himself did not understand the exact reason behind his soul force being able to suppress Angakok by such a large degree, a big part behind it was actually his soul bond with Mira.
His soul was completely bound to that of Mira's and it was the reason behind why the two of them could share exp and call on each other to teleport besides them in times of extreme need.
Hence when Angakok was trying to forcefully take over his body, not only was he trying to replace Max's soul, he was also trying to replace this soul bond that he had with Mira and hence the backlash was much larger than expected.
As a direct result of this, however, Mira was able to absorb half of Angakok's leaked soul force and reach the threshold for becoming a tier6 god herself.
Much like Max she experienced a lot of pain when the struggle between Max and Angakok was ongoing, but as a result of that struggle she had some windfall gains.
Ofcourse Max who was unaware about all this was just happy to see his own stat pannel where he noticed the two major changes of losing his status as ' Angakok's Chosen ' and added title of ' The Primal God '

All his stats saw a monstrous increase alongside his attributes and a new panel for displaying divine essence was opened.
Apparently he had 40 ml of divine essence in his body and could store a maximum of 50 ml currently.
He had gained a massive 81 levels into tier6 becoming level 781 instead of the 700 by absorbing Angakok's soul force and that was after giving a lot of the portion to Mira.
With the threshold for tier7 being 1000, he was still a fair bit away from that point but has undoubtedly gotten a nice jumpstart to his journey.
The biggest increase in his attributes was probably for his intelligence which after the boost up had became his second highest stat after agility by a small margin.
Max knew he felt stronger, but he had no idea just how much stronger he was feeling until he could quantify it with the system panel and he was absolutely blown away with the figures.
If there was anything wrong with the panel it would have to be the new pessimistic system remark which still deemed him to be a disaster for his species despite everything Max had done to safeguard their interest.
" Well fuck u system " Max said as he closed the system panel and decided to ignore it's remark.
The system had never liked Max anyways and Max hated it right back.
