Chapter 430 Final Battle

Alex looked toward the man whom he had summoned, a towering figure standing just below 2.5 meters in height, with an impressive figure with broad shoulders and a chiseled frame.

Alex couldn't see anything from his status, but from his unique appearance, he knew that the summon belonged to a race he had never seen before.

The man had an elongated skull, but it was barely noticeable beneath a shroud of dense ash-white hair that matched his skin tone cascading down his back.

He wore loose-fitting dark trousers accented with small lines of deep crimson letters adorning them, and around his abdomen was a wide, dark sash. He wore a hooded robe that covered his neck and head and cascaded down his right shoulder, leaving his left arm, back, and part of his chest exposed.

His skin was as pale as the moonlight, and the exposed parts of his body bore tattoos resembling ripples and waves, intricately woven in shades of gray, and they even pulsed with subtle energy, adding an ethereal quality to his visage.

Completing his outfit was a white mask, concealing his eyes while leaving his pointed nose, thin lips, and angular chin exposed. The mask itself was adorned with spiraling circles and fine and twisting lines similar to his tattoos, so small and thin it was easy to mistake them as erosion of time.

"My name is Vorinax Zyraen, and I apologize for letting you pry into my secret, but as your summon, I am prepared to do my best to aid you with anything you need," Vorinax said, his voice deep yet calm, and even though it was clearly not said using telepathy, his lips remained sealed.

'Is he a sound element user, or does he wield some other element because I didn't sense any magic when he spoke?' Alex questioned, knowing for sure that Decimar was not speaking with normal means.

"Vorinax Zyraen, it is a pleasure meeting you, but before I share what I want you to do, can you tell me what elements you wield and your battle range," Alex said, very curious as to what element this mysterious figure wields.

"Vibration, and I can fight both close and long range," Vorinax said, giving no further details.

'Vibration, as in shock waves or sound?' Alex thought, not very familiar with either of the two elements or any other aspects of Vibration on a higher level.

'Who cares what element he wields? He is definitely at the furthest end of peak Sixth Rank, and that's all that matters,' Alex thought, pushing his curiosity aside.

Alex was thrilled to have someone he considered the best summon he could have, so he was very eager to learn about his strength and see if he could reach an agreement to make a permanent contract with him and add another valuable card to his arsenal.

But in the current situation, time was of the essence because, with every passing moment, Daenal was becoming stronger, which was a growing problem for him, so he needed to act fast.

"Vorinax, you see the two figures in the distance, one cloaked in light is Galatan who is an ally, and the other oozing with the element of death is named Daenal, and he is the target, with every undead and beast you can see in the surrounding,"

"I will give this energy core to Galatan, and while he leaves to prepare a weapon that could kill Daenal, it will be up to us to keep that monster from going on a rampage, and we need to keep him at bay for up to six to ten minutes,"

"I will take the lead, and you will support me from the back, and as you can sense we are going against an Elemental Ruler, so make sure you don't hold back," Alex said and received a confirming nod.

"Once I reach the frontline, I want you to attack the necromancer to separate the duo, and I will take the opportunity to give the core to Galatan, then we'll go with the plan," Alex said, and Vorinax nodded once more and made no further comment.

Alex made the four knives float around him and held the core in his hand, emptying his mind of unnecessary thoughts, only thinking of what he would say to Patriarch Galatan in the shortest time possible to convince him to work toward the end goal, as he zoomed to the front line.

Alex appeared outside the city wall, a safe distance away but still closer to the fast-paced battle taking place between the two giants, and spread his senses as he stood ready to move the moment Vorinax made his attack.

"ZZZZZZZRRRRRROOOOOOOO"

"What in the world," Alex said, startled by the sudden cacophony of roaring flames, tearing air, and oppressive pressure that seemed to emerge from thin air.

Alex caught a glimpse of surprise on the faces of the two Elemental Rulers as they stopped in their tracks, and realizing it was not their doing, he turned his gaze toward the source of the steadily escalating noise.

'What the F**K,' Alex thought, as he looked at the gloomy dark sky covered in light dust clouds, and in the center of it was a massive, massive orb of raging flames.

A colossal meteor, at least two hundred meters in diameter and of similar length, streaked through the sky, shrouded in blazing flames so intense they scorched the dust clouds and air around it, casting a hazy aura in the surrounding space.

What was most startling was its rapid expansion, growing in size with each passing moment as it descended, and Alex couldn't help but be surprised, knowing the attack was steadily reaching toward the edge of the Sixth Rank attack.

The thought of who could have created such an attack in a matter of moments came to his mind, and Alex couldn't help but be surprised, so he swiftly looked to his right, and there he saw Vorinax standing with his arm raised, with a minor section of ink on his arm pulsing brighter than the others, but it was not even noticeable.

'What? He told me he uses the Vibration element, and now he is throwing a freaking burning meteor to start the battle,' Alex thought, a bit startled.

While he clearly lied about the element, it didn't matter because Vorinax was doing what he was asked, and that's all that mattered.

While there was always a chance of the summon going rogue or not listening to his orders, that was something he could not control, so why care.

Alex didn't fully understand the workings of summons, but he knew that summons came from a unique dimension, and while visiting the summoner world, they were immortal, and depending on their performance, they received a reward or punishment.

As for what the reward was and how it all worked, he had no clue as there was no recorded data on it, but it was known that summons had the complete free will to do as they pleased and not stick to doing the bidding of the summoner.

"Let's do my work," Alex thought, as he saw Daenal look at the meteor and raise his spear that pulsed with power while Galatan moved back with his eyes peeled at the meteor.

"Kid, you are strong, but this battle is not for you, so leave and help those who need it," Galatan said, his voice echoing in Alex's mind as his mountain-like aura washed over him, reminding him of the difference in strength.

"Sir Galatan, I have the Core of the Angel's Wrath, and it is the only weapon that could stop Daenal, and you are the only person who could hope to use it," Alex said, his words getting drowned out by the massive explosion of the dark spear and meteor colliding, but Galatan heard them loud and clear.

"How? Where--?" Galatan said, as he snatched the core from Alex's hand in an instant and began examining it.

"Daenal is growing stronger by the moment, and if it continues at the current pace, it will not end well for you or the city,"

"So, leave and prepare the weapon because only you can do it in the small time frame we have, while I and my friend will try to stop him," Alex said, and as if feeling disrespected at his stupid claim, Galatan let his aura loose as his golden eyes stared down at him.

"You have my gratitude and respect for returning this treasure of my clan, but boy, you are too full of yourself to think that a weakling like you can bridge the gap between a Mortal and Elemental Ruler and even hope to stand for even a few seconds,"

"Go help others, and I will take care of this," Galatan said in a cold, icy tone, as he firmly placed his hand on Alex's shoulder.

'This prideful son of a...,' Alex cursed, at both Seraphian and Zero, as he had done what he should, but he was again at a dead end.

'Not going to stop after getting so close,' Alex thought, as he decided to take the last step as he had no other choice.

'Chrono Sanctuary'

"You should put your pride to one side and do what is best for everyone, and if you don't, then this place is doomed," Vorinax said, as he appeared next to Alex, and as he did, Galatan's face instantly turned from angered to a serious look.
